Show Notes

Simply put, it made me HAPPY to have Monique as a guest.  Why?  Because I believe that when you surround yourself with people who can explain why they are happy, it motivates you.

I am, as I said, 70% happy, however I struggle at times with anxiety that blurrs my happiness.

Monique inspires me in thinking that, yes, happiness can become a habit!  Just think about your world around you if you look at it in a different way then focussing on what isn't possible, and believe it is.

I truly appreciate Monique for her time, and what she shares in this Podcast.

You can contact Monique at  https://www.moniquerhodes.com and there you can access The Happiness Baseline course, along with others.

More about Monique:

Monique Rhodes has always believed that happiness is a habit. Therefore, it’s not surprising to see that she has tailored her life to be an embodiment of that belief. She has taught one of the most important skills to living a happier life, mindfulness mediation, for many years all over the world. Her program The 10 Minute Mind® is used in over 70 universities and colleges worldwide were it is available to all staff and students.  Her 8 week online course The Happiness Baseline has also changed the lives of the thousands people who have used it.

Before becoming a mindfulness meditation teacher Monique toured internationally as a professional musician for almost two decades. As testament to her reputation as an internationally recognised musician, some of Monique’s career highlights have been working with Peter Gabriel’s Band, touring Europe twice with Chuck Berry, working closely on a music project with the producers of The Secret, and performing for His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Monique also collaborated with some of the biggest spiritual teachers of our time like Thich Naht Hahn, Ekhart Tolle, Pema Chödrön and created an album with them called Heartbeats using their teachings and her music. She then went on to create a similar project with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, for whole she has also performed live. In 2010 Monique was nominated for the prestigious New Zealander of the Year Award. She usually lives in Los Angeles however due to Covid is taking some time out in her homeland, New Zealand.
