Jun 09, 2022

In the next of the PCRS Greener Healthcare Campaign Podcasts and to celebrate Clean Air Day 2022, Carol Stonham (PCRS Executive Chair) is joined by Professor Sir Stephen Holgate (Medical Research Council Clinical Professor of Immunopharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine, Southampton; Respiratory Physician and UKRI Clean Air Champion).
They discuss where air pollution comes from, both indoor and outdoor, the impact of air pollution on human health, and why those with respiratory diseases are impacted by air pollution more than those without.

Helping patients understand where they can get information about air pollution and how they themselves can make improvements in their lives, their homes, and the lives of their wider communities is one of the important topics that Carol and Stephen touch on, with some fantastic resources available via the links below for information on air pollution, air quality and what can be done to make improvements:

Children and Young People Asthma Bundle
UK Air
Air Quality England
