Welcome to another episode of Healing or Halo. I'm your host, Pay Mary, and I am so excited to be here with you another week. And if you have been losing faith in your journey, if you have been losing the confidence that things are gonna turn around for you, I have good news for you. It can turn around. Your story is still being written, and I have so much excitement to share with you because recently I discovered that my new performance video of my song champion has just reached over 21,000 views, and I don't say that with any vanity because I didn't look at it in maybe over a week, and the last time I checked, it was at 8,000 views. Well, that was already a record high for my channel. But when you are focused on what you're supposed to do day in and day out, and you are focused on doing the work that you need to do, it is so beautifully pleasantly surprising to see when things do extremely well. So that I'm so grateful for and happy about. So if you have been in a space where you feel like you haven't been seeing growth at the things that you've been doing, you haven't been seeing the fruit of your efforts, hang in there, hang in there because I promise you it's already done, it's already done, and actually, um I have I'm so grateful to have so many more stories to share around the topic of my book. But it's filled with faith, it's filled with hope, it's filled with evidence that you need to keep staying inspired on your journey. And I want this episode to be real talk. I have some great interviews lined up for you guys coming up, and I'm so excited to introduce some doctors and some leaders in the community who can help fuel our faith. But while we're having these one-on-ones, and I just want to be your pal here, your palpe, I'm your palpei, just talking with you organically and naturally and authentically because sometimes it gets difficult to stay in it and play full out. Sometimes it's hard to stay in the game of whatever it is, that whatever this game of life is, whatever this game of of our industries are, where we have to keep the right perspective at all times, where we have to keep our faith, where we have to still show up when we don't want to, all these things, all these layers, all these roles and titles and expectations that we have on us, it's difficult. It's difficult to constantly keep showing up. At this season in my life, out of all the things that I've overcome, all the things that I survived, all the things that I've seen in my life, even though I get tired, I gotta play full out. I gotta play full out, and you gotta play full out. You do too. And your family is counting on you to play full out. Your children, if you're a parent, your siblings, if you're a sister or brother, your your mom, your dad, if they're still in your life for you to care for, somebody needs you to play full out. So, yes, we got to take a break when we need to. We may show up with our NVP, our minimum viable push for that day if we have to, but you get back up and you play full out because your story is still being written. You don't know. We don't, we're not even smart enough to know everything that's gonna happen in our lives. There's so much more unfolding for us, there's so much more to the story that we don't even know, we don't even have the calm, um, the consciousness to even understand how many different ways that this could play out. So you gotta show up and you gotta show up as your best self. And just to bring it back to my performance video, which I'm really excited about still. You could think that you're not enough, you could think that you don't have what it takes, you could think that nobody's gonna care, you could think that you've missed your window, you missed your time. You can think that all you want to. In fact, you might even believe that, you might actually believe that, but guess what? Sometimes life, sometimes God will surprise you and shock you because of your obedience. Now, let me tell you something. When I did that champion video, I did not anticipate it getting 21,000 views, and for those of you who may not think 21,000 views is a lot, consider the fact that some of my videos have 40 views or 30 views, right? Considering that, this is a significant improvement, okay. So I'm very excited and I want to share that excitement with you because I may have thought it was over, I may have thought nobody was gonna care, I may have thought whatever I thought or believed to be true for myself or whatever limit I was putting on myself, but guess what? It didn't matter what I thought because when I did the work of putting the video together, getting out there with my husband and filming that video and performing that song, guess what? People responded in a way that I didn't anticipate, I didn't see that coming my way. And imagine all the things that you could be counting yourself out in, counting yourself out on simply because you think you know how it's gonna play out, you think you know how it's gonna unfold, you think you know how people are gonna respond. But what if, what if we're not even what if we're not even that intelligent enough to know every single possibility of what could happen. And there's some humility in that, not knowing, so much humility and not knowing, so much humility and not understanding and really knowing the full scope of what could happen, and some of that bliss of not knowing, it really unveils itself when you are pleasantly surprised by an outcome that you did not anticipate or you couldn't see in your cards for yourself. So I encourage you if you are saying things or even thinking things against yourself that are anti-you, right? Things that you wouldn't tell other people that you're thinking about yourself, but only you really know how much you're dragging yourself in your head, how much you hate the way you did this certain movement, or in the video, you feel so cringy when you watch yourself. It doesn't even matter. It doesn't even matter, it doesn't even matter what you think about you sometimes, because as long as you are obedient and you make the action steps and you move forward, even with the fear, even with the insecurity, even with the thoughts lower than what God says about you, God can still use that and surprise you. So I want to be that encouragement for you today. And it's this is fresh, this is so fresh for me. I just looked at my video and saw that it did 21,000 views. I'm floor, I'm floored, and now I'm excited for what's to come. I'm even more excited for what's to come now. I was excited before, but I can't I gotta be honest with you. I did lose a little bit of faith in my music journey. I've been writing songs since I was a little girl. Writing songs since I was a little girl, and it's been so long, so long since I've been in a space where I am today of feeling like wow, I'm actually being able to share my music with people, and it's not so much about the view count, right? It's about the connectivity of knowing people are hearing what I wrote. Now, people can have with their thoughts about delivery, cadence, tone, pitch, all of that, but I am so grateful, grateful that thousands of people listened to what I wrote. So grateful. And there's a moment with your name on it that you're gonna feel so grateful for that you may not be able to even picture right now, but whatever journey you've been on, whether it's your healing journey, wanting to feel whole within yourself, and you feel like I don't see any signs of improvement. I keep doing these affirmations, I keep reading these scriptures, I keep praying, nothing seems like it's happening. I guarantee you. You keep going, you keep putting in the effort, you keep putting in the consistency of showing up when you don't want to, feeling like a fool at times because you don't feel like anything is happening. I guarantee you, I guarantee you there's a moment with your name on it where you're gonna feel so grateful and thankful that you didn't give up on yourself and that you didn't give up on the things that didn't show any immediate results. Have patience, it's already done, it's already done, and I can say that with full confidence. So, even prior to this video doing well, I mean, I've just I've been seeing God show up in ways in my life that's been confirming so much for me. Even if you guys follow the Mel Robin show, I love Mel, our good friend Mel, our good friend Mel. She said she did this experiment with herself where she basically went on this thing of looking for hearts, right? So, not really looking for hearts, but setting the attention to want to see hearts. So I tried it. So, you know what? I want to see some hearts. And mine's was a little different because I prayed asking God for more love, right, in my life, and I actually prayed that prayer on June 12th when I was celebrating the I guess my life adversary, just being alive in my survival of surviving the post-night club shooting where I was shot twice and held hostage for three hours, but just being grateful to God on that day, and I asked God what to pray for because I wasn't really sure, and I heard God say in my spirit, just just pray for more love, just ask for more love, and that's what I did. And I've been seeing hearts everywhere ever since, and so much so that I even painted. If you guys are watching on my YouTube channel, and if you're on the podcast, you're gonna have to go over to my YouTube channel, and and uh by the way, it's healing her halo has its own YouTube channel. I separated my channels, but I'm showing these hearts that I painted recently, and I keep these hearts around me, and I've been seeing hearts everywhere, it's such a beautiful experiment. Like, just ask God for more love in your life, ask God to show hearts everywhere, and you'll start to see hearts everywhere, even the leaves on the ground, it's beautiful, it's a beautiful experience, and it just reminds you that really it's so much to do with your brain, right? And how you're seeing the world, but even if you struggle with seeing the world in a certain way, you can ask God for help to intervene. Divine intervention is a real thing. So, as long as you do not give up on your faith, you keep doing the things even when you feel like a fool, and sometimes it will feel foolish for you to believe. Let me say that again for the people in the back. Sometimes you will feel foolish to believe, believe in the possibility for something amazing to happen when you've seen countless time over and over again minimal or non-existent results, minimal or non-existent outcomes that are in no way pushing you any closer in your mind to the goal that you have or the desires that God placed in your heart. Well, let me tell you something, it may make no sense to you right now. It may make no sense, it may you may feel cringy, you may feel like it's pointless. But I promise you, if you don't give up, if you start and you stay, it's already done. It's already done. And I hope that this was something that gave you a jolt, a jolt of joy today. I really hope that this message put a spark back in your halo because I know what it feels like to go through the days and the weeks feeling numb, feeling like it's no point. It's no point for hoping, it's no point for believing, it's no point for dreaming big, whatever that means, especially as you age and you get older, and you start to realize all the games that are being played in this world and how people play with you, even sensitive things, and you start to lose faith in humanity, you start to lose faith in people, you start to lose faith in yourself, you start to lose faith in the fact that God can do something with you in the context of this big world. But let me let me reassure you today. Let me guarantee something for you. If you keep the vision that God has for you in front of you, prayer board, if that's something that you do, keep a screensaver on your phone of the vision that God has for you. You review the scriptures that bring you joy, you review the affirmations that feel like they're in alignment with you in this season. You keep those things in front of you, you pray every day throughout the day, it doesn't have to be a formal on your knees in the closet for three hours prayer either, but you keep that heart of intention of putting God first. Psalm 37:4. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. And and a step further from that, I remember pastor saying that not only that, but he will give you what to desire, he will give you what to desire. Because sometimes our sight is a little flawed, and we may be desiring things that we shouldn't even really be desiring. Maybe we're desiring them because we've seen other people have them on social media, or we've seen other people, you know, possessing certain things, so we feel like we we're supposed to have them. God will give you the desires of your heart that are in alignment with where He knows you are capable of, and you might not even see that for yourself, you may not even see it for yourself. But I I have confidence that if you hear what I'm saying and you keep that posture of positivity and expectation of good things already being done, it will be the quicker it will be when you thank God in advance for it already being done, and you don't even know how it's gonna happen, and you keep that positive curiosity and blissful ignorance to how it's gonna happen, and don't care about the how, something beautiful happens, surprises happen, and no, you cannot map it out, and no, you cannot figure it all out because your story is still being written. And yes, you are the main character in your own story. It's really hard to live and be the main character of your own story in your life, truly living in your life when you're trying to dictate every single move that's gonna happen. Sometimes we gotta release the pen to God. It's really hard to be the main character. It's really hard to be the main character while you're also trying to write out each and every move that's gonna happen in the script. We gotta give the script to God. We gotta give the script to God. He is the best storyteller of all time. God is never without creativity. I really believe that. I wasn't expecting to see my performance video have 21,000 views. I've never had any video on my my YouTube channel do 21,000 views ever. Didn't see that for myself, not one bit. Part of me actually gave up on my music career a lot of times. A lot of bit. But I'm so grateful that even despite what I thought about myself, God is never without creativity. God has plenty of creativity for you and your story, and it's still being written. So don't count yourself out, don't rule yourself out. You don't even have enough information about yourself and about your makeup and about your design to rule yourself out. So I hope this was helpful and I hope that this helped you continue on in your path to be excited for what's to come. Because I I trust and believe that if you have patience with yourself and you have patience with your journey, have patience with the results, have patience with the outcomes. It'll come, it's already done. But let the work work on you, like our good friend Myron Golden usually says, let the work work on you. Let it work on you until the work works for you. Alright.
