Everet Jeffries was born in the mid-'30s in Mason City, Iowa, attended Mason City High school, and graduated in 1954. A grandson of a slave. As a young black man growing up in the '40s and ’50s in Mason City, Iowa, Jeffries shares his life story and experiences growing up in a small-town Iowa and how they shaped his life. Now at age 84 he is looking back and gives us wisdom on where to go from here.
