Hey guys. Good morning. I'm Dallas Pruitt and welcome to the daily drip luck. We all want more of it. Weirdly enough, it's actually a word that I've come to rarely use. There's a definition of luck that I love. Some of you may have heard it. It goes like this luck is where hard work and opportunity meet up.
I love this concept and I believe it to be true. What I wanted to do with today's drip is give everyone a blueprint, a recipe. If you will, for brewing up more luck in your life, lucky people, aren't just lucky. Most of them are strategic, whether they recognize it or not. If you want to increase luck and tilt the odds in your favor, here are three things you can do.
One...deconstruct your craft, so you know what good opportunities look like. Two, remain steadfast, determined, and focus so that you notice when lucky breaks come your way and then Three, act quickly, so you are more than likely to seize luck when it arrives. Luck is where hard work and opportunity meet up.
Most people you look up to, aren't just lucky they work hard. Don't rob them or yourself of this hard work and effort by loosely using the word luck is luck real. I think so. Is it a determining factor in success minor? Maybe it's an outlier at best. Yes, you can get lucky, but that isn't a safe bet. In fact, it shouldn't even be in your peripheral.
What should be is the 1% incremental changes you can be making to get better at whatever it is you do. If you're an Archer it's mechanics, equipment and mental processes. If you're a CrossFit athlete, its form nutrition and rest amongst other things. What should also be a staple is a determined, steadfast, and vigilant approach to every day.
This is how you can take better notice when opportunities present themselves and then take advantage of them by stopping. Your thinking process when those opportunities arise and just take action again, today is a reminder luck, a balance for those who work hard, keep their eyes open and their head up deconstruct your craft remain vigilant.
And act quickly. This is the recipe for brewing. More up, more luck in your life. Have a great day everybody. And we'll see you guys back here again tomorrow.
