Hey, what up everyone? Welcome to the Daily Drip here with me, Dallas Pruitt. I want you to think about this for a second today. How many times have you heard someone out there say, Don't be a hater, or Don't pay attention to the haters? My next question would be, how many of those same people hate on others themselves?
Meaning they talk about others behind their back?. Think about this one. How many people out there expect perfection from others? They keep extremely high standards in check for others, but they themselves are far from perfect. They're very imperfect As people, we hate getting judged, but we are so quick to judge others.
We wanna be the leader, but we don't wanna live right and do everything that's required to be that leader. Selfishness. Such a turnoff, right? We hate selfish people, but so many who hate that selfishness are the first people to blame others or point a finger when things don't go right. We hate the talking of others behind their backs like was mentioned, like was already mentioned, but so many of us who hate this are the same people that will quickly turn around and speak of others loosely when they're not around.
Some of us want to grind and post about the grind, but the second, no one's watching. We coast, or worse, we skip reps. We take a break. We're a different person. When people are watching, it's go time, but when they're not, it's skip time. We talk about others and their softness, yet so many of us don't even have a fraction of an understanding of what those others are going through, nor could we muster up the strength in a lot of cases to do what those other people are doing on a daily basis.
So why do I go through this list here? I bring all this up in today's drip because I wanted to give a reminder that we should quit grading others. Grade the mirror. That's the actionable today. That's the principle. Today's actionable. Keep your head down and do the work, then pick it up and grade the mirror.
Hypocrisy is not a mental skill or a tactic that is included in the arsenal of any true leader. And that's why we're here is to become true leaders of ourselves and others. But it starts with you. Quit grading others, quit judging others. Grade yourself and look to serve others. Do work and grade the mirror regularly.
This is a process that all the greats engage in. Often. All right guys. Make it a great day today. Go out and lead yourself. Get that head down, go to work, and we will talk. You talk to you guys back here on the Daily Drip tomorrow.
