Hey, what's going on everybody? Welcome to the Daily Drip here on the Growthcast. My name is Dallas Pruitt, and today we're gonna talk about five principles for Better Living from Victor Frankel. When you know why you do what you do, you'll have more power to do it. , meaning that's what Victor Frankel pointed to as the answer to life's crisis that we undergo.
That swallowing feeling of emptiness, that we've all felt right. It's a sign of a lack of meaning in one's life. Frankel would say one of the things I love the most about his work in logo therapy is that it f it focuses on the future and less on the past. Look, no matter which way anybody spins it.
Logo therapy is a very constructive way to proactively attack crises in one's life. And let's face it, throughout your life, you will have times when you feel empty or feel like you lack clarity. That's when it's time to discover or rediscover, if you will, the meaning to your life. Again, when you know why you do what you do, you'll have more power to do.
What I wanted to do today is give you five guiding principles to better living, or four better living, rather. And these things derive from Frankel himself, and I want to attach them to an invite, and that is to use these as guardrails, as you navigate more growth and produce better, living better results across the board in all that you.
So here we go. Number one, you don't create the meaning of your life as Sarte claimed. You discover it according to Frankl's work. It's more of a spiritual angst that we feel, rather than a feeling of frustration. Divinity, deity, your reason for being. There's an attachment there. There's a connection. The spiritual component.
Number two, you have. You each have a unique reason for being right, which can be adjusted or transformed. Many times, over the years, times and seasons play a huge part in our lives and not all things that are required of you now will always be required of you or be fixed as your life evolves. So should you and the meaning you attach to all that you.
just number three. Just as worry often brings about precisely the thing that was feared, excessive attention to a desire or hyper intention can keep that desire from being fulfilled. It's this dance that we must undergo every day of focusing on the process while never losing. Of the end while never losing sight of the goal.
Number four, humor. Humor can help break negative cycles and reduce anxiety. Humor is a cure for these ailments. A better question really that we should all come back to on occasion is why so serious and number. We all have the capacity to do noble or terrible things. The side of the spectrum, you end up on the side of the equation that you end up on.
Depends on. Your decisions not on the condition in which you find yourself. So, there you have it, guys. Five principles for better Living from Victor Frankel, meaning and purpose. Living intentionally. That's what life is all about. That's why you are here. That's a rock worth building your foundation on.
Make it a great day, everybody, and we will see you guys back here again tomorrow.
