Hey, what's going on everybody? Good morning. My name is Dallas Pruitt, and this is the Growthcast as presented by the Multifamily Mindset. In between stim, stimulus and response, there's a space. Victor Frankl referred to this space in his work and he alluded to the fact that in this space lies our freedom today.
Let's give that space a. The pause. The pause isn't just important. It's really everything. The better question is will you use it? Will you use it to think, to examine, to wait, or will you give it your initial reaction? A knee jerk? Will you use it to give into old patterns, an old habit? Again, the pause isn't just important.
It's really everything. It's that moment before jumping to a quick conclusion, that moment before judgment, that moment before assuming the worst, before yelling at your kid or your partner. That moment before rushing to solve someone's problem, whether that be again, your own kid or someone else, you love that moment before giving into.
Or throwing the finger of blame in a specific direction. Your lower self is very fast to think and doesn't spend much time here. Your higher self, however much slower in this important space, much more methodical in this important space. The pause. So today's invite. Spend more time here. Spend more time in the pause.
Give into your higher self-more often. Gather yourself. Put the situation up to the light. Really examine it and ask better questions. Stop letting fear stop letting anxiety. Stop letting prejudice rule you. Rule yourself by mastering the pause. Frankl had it right, freedom, growth, and everything. Good lies in this space.
Question is, will you be disciplined enough to live in it? Have a great day, everybody, and we'll see you guys back here again tomorrow.
