Hey, what's going on everybody? My name is Dallas Pruit and welcome to the Daily Drip. Today I wanted to talk about rejection, how to handle it, and how to navigate. Life and working relationships and loving relationships, personal relationships, professional relationships, post rejection, post a situation where maybe something you presented wasn't accepted or.
Maybe you were hurt, maybe you were hurt through rejection, however, that looked after a re a rejection. A question I would have is, do you feel judged, bitter and vengeful, or do you feel hurt, but hopeful of forgiving, hopeful of learning, and moving on? Think of the worst rejection that you've ever had.
Now, get in touch with all the feelings and see if you can view it that situation from a growth mindset. Meaning the questions we ask post rejection in life, in business should revolve around learning. What did you learn? What did you learn from it? Did it teach you something about what you want and don't want in your life?
Did it teach you some positive things, some things that were useful? You actually utilized in relationships post whatever that experience. Did you become better through it? Can you forgive? Forgiveness is a crucial component here. Can you forgive that person and wish them well? Can you let go of the bitterness?
These are all bitter questions that we need to loop back to. Whenever we're faced with rejection, and again, rejection is commonplace in life. Again, ideas that are presented that aren't accepted or rejected. Love that you send somebody's way who doesn't accept it and rejects it, right? Actions, words, whatever it may be.
There are a lot of times in our lives in life and business where rejection stings, it hurts, but we are always faced with the choice. Will we move forward with a growth mindset? Will we move forward with a mindset of learning, a mindset of forgiving and utilizing those lessons to be able to move on better, move forward, or will we stay stuck in that past moment?
Will we stay stuck in judgment? Will we stay stuck in bitterness and will we proceed vengeful with our actions? The choice is ours. That's today's reminder. Today's reminder is when faced with rejection. A growth mindset and become better for whatever that experience was, whatever that experience is. Have a great day, everybody, and we'll see you guys back here again tomorrow.
