Hey, what's going on everybody? My name is Dallas Pruit, and this is the Daily Drip here on the Growthcast. Today I wanted to talk about checking your lens. How you view what you do, impacts how you do what you do. This is a great one from a recent interview we had with Inky Johnson. It prompts the better questions.

Are your responsibilities, burdens, or blessings? The carpool job, that meeting or that training this week, do you have to attend or do you get to attend those things? Your job is mom, your job is dad, your job in general. Look, sometimes the lens needs to be checked because when we are drained, it's easy to get caught into the trap or make the error of thinking that blessings are burdens, or rather get caught into a negative thought cycle.

Today is an e an invite for everybody to get out that nice clean cloth and check the lens, swipe it.  responsibilities aren't burdens. They're blessings. Someone relies on you. Someone looks to you for guidance for help. That's what it's about. Your jobs aren't about you. Remember, you signed up for motherhood.

You signed up for fatherhood. You signed up for that job you signed. You signed up because the idea of it sounded awesome. The reality is it's not always easy, but that doesn't mean it's not awesome. That doesn't mean it's not a blessing. Again, check the lens, swipe it clean. See clearly change your words.

I don't have to. I get to. You always have a choice. Don't rob yourself of that. Don't allow yourself to forget that. Again, in the fine words of the very articulate communicator that is Inky Johnson. How you view what you do impacts how you do what you do wanna do better. Sometimes it's as simple as shifting your paradigm.

Have a great day, everybody, and we'll see you back here again tomorrow.
