Hey, good morning everyone. My name is Dallas Pruitt, and it is a pleasure to be with you again this morning here on the Daily Drip. Your journey is going to be littered with traps. Some of those traps are gonna be more obvious than others, and sometimes those traps are actually. Going to look like lies that you tell yourself.
Today. I wanted to share four of these traps that we fall into with the purpose of, with the purpose of next time they pop up on your journey, you'll be able to course correct and avoid getting stuck. So trap number one is telling yourself that you don't have time. The truth is, if you have the time to watch a sitcom or romcom or an MLB game, You have time.
The truth is if it's not a priority, you won't spend your time on it. Trap number two is telling yourself you need to know more. I like to call this trap the lotus eater trap. You get stuck in learning. You get stuck in going to conferences, going to seminars and webinars because you feel you need to be equipped with more knowledge in order to make progress or rather, Action in the thing you care so much about when the truth is what you really need to do is exactly that, is take more action.
Trap number three is telling yourself you don't have the skills necessary. What you do when you get caught in this air is you actually waste valuable learning time by focusing on this huge gap. Hyper-focusing on this huge gap that you feel you have, that you've come to believe you have. The truth is you can learn the skills necessary.
You can learn to walk, you can learn to speak, you can learn to run and feed yourself. You really are no different than what. Were when you were a baby. It took you a minute to figure out how to walk. But remember, persistence is patience in progress. Trap number four, you tell yourself, it's too late. It's too late for me to begin.
And simply put, this is faults. It's absolutely never too late to begin on a journey or an endeavor. That's what life is all about, is learning and growing. The truth is the best time to start for anyone was y. And if you didn't start yesterday, no worries you have today. The invite for everybody is to recognize when you're caught in these four traps and when you are course correct.
Arid thinking is something we all must work daily to conquer. Let's stop telling ourselves lies and start leaning more and more into truths. Have a great day, everybody, and we'll see you guys back here again tomorrow.
