Speaker 1 (00:01):
Multifamily Mindset. Podcast. Podcast. Think Bigger. What's up, my friend? Tyler Nero here, and this is your Multifamily Minute. Let's talk about something that you hear all the time in this business, which is cashflow is king and yes it is. It matters. Okay? Passive income is the name of the game for a reason, but lemme give you the full picture, okay? Because cashflow is king, but it's not the whole kingdom. And here's what I mean by that, okay? If all you focus on is cashflow, you might miss the bigger wins, man. Equity growth is an example. Forced depreciation, tax advantages, wealth building over time. See, cashflow feeds you today. The equity feeds your legacy. The best deals do both, man. They give you consistent income, they build long-term wealth. They are tax efficient, meaning you pay less than taxes. But sometimes, especially early on, you've got a choice to make.
(00:55)
You got to make a choice. Do you want immediate cashflow or long-term upside? See, smart investors think in decades, not paydays. So here's how to balance the two. Okay? Use cashflow to stay in the game. That's obviously important. Pay yourself, certainly pay yourself, keep reserves strong. Reduce investor pressure, but underwrite for value, add potential. Can you raise the rents? Can you improve operations? Could you sell a refi in your three to five with significant upside? That's where real wealth is built, is on the equity side. The real business plan, not just cashflow day one, but once again, these other things that we're looking for. Cashflow. Yes, equity, growth, yes. Tax efficient, yes, right? Yes. Once again, cashflow is king, but kings need castles. And in this business, equity tax benefits, long-term holds, that's your kingdom. Play the long-term game. Eat today. Definitely eat today, but build for tomorrow. That's your role at the Family Minute. My name is Tyler Devereux. Stay cast strong, equity minded, and kingdom focused. My friends. Catch you at the Peak Peace Multifamily Mindset Podcast. Think bigger.
