Dr AnneMarie Brosnan, Associate Professor in the History of Education at Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick joins Oliver Mumford to discuss her latest book: A Contested Terrain: Freedpeople’s Education in North Carolina During the Civil War, examining the education experiences of Black North Carolinians through the American Civil War and Reconstruction period.
