Speaker 1:

If you are only live launching or only selling your program on Evergreen, you might be leaving out half of your audience from joining your program. On today's episode, i'm going to be diving into the two different types of decision makers you have in your audience and how Quantum Launch System is the key to serving both of them. So stay tuned. What change becomes possible when 100,000 people are impacted by your work? This question came to me one day and I have been working to find the answer ever since. Hi, i'm Jess and I help online course creators amplify their influence and create a movement with their message, and on this podcast, i am sharing the simple strategies and systems to help you impact more people with your programs so you can create quantum growth in your industry. You are listening to the Quantum Course Creator podcast. Hey there, and welcome back to the Quantum Course Creator podcast. Jess, here And today I am so excited to share what I'm about to talk to you about.

Speaker 1:

I have been a student and a teacher of human design for about three years now, and it really started with like a self discovery journey and then turned into a rabbit hole that I just could not stop diving into And inside my programs I talk a lot about energetic alignment and about like launching according to your own human design, but on today's episode, i'm going to be talking about human design in a different way than I've talked about it before. If you're not familiar with human design, human design is a system of self exploration and self differentiation that was channeled by Rah Aruhu. There's so much out there. If you were like I have no idea what you're even talking about, i recommend you stopping now and going to my HD. I should have looked this up before. Google human design Find a place where you can pull your chart and put in your information and get your human design chart. What is my favorite one? I cannot remember at the moment, but get a chart of your human design and look at your authority. That's what we're going to be talking about on today's episode.

Speaker 1:

But your human design is this entire system that will help you not only understand your energy, but different key pieces of your personality, different ways that you can influence your marketing as well as understanding other people, and this has been such a powerful system in my life and in my business and my relationships, and so it's something that I use a lot in my programs as well as my private coaching, and it's something that I'm excited to talk about today. So something you've probably realized at this point in your life is that not everybody in the world is created the same Right. We all have different values, we have different motivators and we all have different decision making processes, and that's where human design is so valuable in this understanding. So not only understanding your own human design which is a exploration that will completely change your life, if you're anything like me, understanding that I'm a projector, understanding the way that I make decisions, understanding all sorts of things around my energy has been such a powerful awareness in my own life as well as, like just self exploration, rise but also understanding other people's human design and understanding how you relate to other people. In this specific instance, i'm talking about your audience and understanding how your audience is.

Speaker 1:

Human design impacts you and has a part to play in the way that you are marketing. I think that when we think, or when a lot of people teach marketing, they think about it very self focused, right. What feels good to you, what do you want, what's your price that you want to charge? And I think that that's a piece of it, right, but business and sales and marketing are relationship. You are in a energetic contract with another human being and their energy matters too, their preferences matter too, their values matter too. And when you don't, when you stop looking at marketing and business as a soul, your self focused thing, and more look at it as this energetic contract that you're getting into with other people And how it's this relationship between two humans, or between two souls, between two energies, that's when things are really going to shift in the way that you show up, in the way that you relate to other people, realizing that it's not just about you, it's about the other people involved as a whole, other tangent, but in this specific instance, i want to talk about how your audience is human design and specifically their authority is impacting the way that you should market to them.

Speaker 1:

So in human design, you have what is called an authority. There's a lot of things in your human design. There are gates and channels and types and strategies and all the things, but the only thing we're talking about today is the authority. And when you pull your chart, you'll be able to see fairly clearly what your authority is. But your authority, in the planest way possible, is how you make decisions. So we tend to think that we make decisions from our mind right, we make logical decisions. I need a pro con chart. I make decisions from your head. That's not actually true. Humans make decisions from a different place in their energy center and people make decisions differently, and you may think of somebody in your life and say, oh my God, they totally make decisions like this that I'm going to explain And that will really help you see how other people process their decision making.

Speaker 1:

So in human design, there's five main categories of authorities. There are more than five authorities, but there's a few that we can group together just based on the way that they interact with their humans. Right. The biggest one is emotional authority. 47% of the population has what's called emotional authority, and the way that emotional authority works is that you have to like, ride this wave of emotions, and every time I explain this to somebody with emotional authority, they feel so seen, and I was actually talking to my sister about this. She was in town last week and she's emotional authority And she was like, oh my God, yes, this resonates with me so much.

Speaker 1:

So emotional authority is immediately after hearing something that you must decide on, you get this wave of yes, right, it's that impulse by, it's that Oh my God, yes, i'm in, all in. And then, if you make your decision in the yes, you feel this crash of like Oh God, what did I do? Like instant regret. And that is emotional authority. You get this big wave and then this crash. And when you should make decisions, when it's the best time for somebody with an emotional authority to make decisions, is after the bottom has leveled out, when it no longer feels emotionally charged as a hell yes or a hell no, when it's neither of those things, when it feels like a very calm, collected yeah, that's when you should make the decision. So those memes that are like either it's a hell yes or a hell no are dead wrong for more than half or for almost half the population. Right, because they should not make decisions in their hell yes or hell no. They should wait a second. And the guidance for emotional authorities is to wait, because more information will become available, more will be revealed that will make it not feel so high yes or high no, and so emotional authorities should not make rash decisions. You should not make decisions quickly until you have kind of leveled out. So that's the biggest one, that's 47% of the population.

Speaker 1:

The next biggest group is sacral authority, and sacral authority is that gut feeling that like yes or no. They are the people when you say it's either a hell yes or a hell no. That is those people, and that's only 35% of the population. So, less than emotional authority, you have sacral or gut authority, and those are the people that feel it in their body And usually it's in response to a decision. Right, if somebody's like, hey, do you wanna eat pizza, their body's like mm no, right, or mm yeah, pizza, let's do it. So they're the people who need to be presented with an option and then listen to their gut, and their gut's gonna tell them hell yes or hell no. That is sacral authority. Again, all of the memes are about sacral authority, but not all the people have it. Only about a third of the population have sacral authority 35% And so if you're like yep, i'm a hell yes or hell no girl, you likely have sacral authority.

Speaker 1:

The next one on the list is spleenic authority, and 11% have spleenic authority. I have spleenic authority, so I feel like I can speak about this with authority, but spleenic authority for me is like this deep knowing. It's like this yeah, or like mm. No, but it isn't so much in response in the moment, right, it isn't necessarily like you ask me a question and I can hear the answer. It's more like so your spleenic center is kind of the voice of your intuition, and so it's kind of like this I can't explain why, but I need to do this thing right now energy, and so that's really how that shows up for me. In some instances it can be a strong yes or no. So, in a way, rather than trusting your gut, you're more trusting your spleen. You can treat people with spleenic authority, can make hell yes or hell no decisions, but sometimes they just need to be guided to the thing to begin with, right. Usually people who are going into a launch with spleenic authority already have a decision made. Right, like the decision has already been made. They're kind of just waiting for the invitation to take action. So that's spleenic authority, that's trusting your intuition.

Speaker 1:

Then 4% of the population has what's called self authority. It's either self projected or mental or not mental, self projected or ego authority, and this is somebody who needs to talk it out. That authority needs to hear it through their ears in order to process the decision. They can't just think about it. They need to write it out, they need to talk it out, they need to hear it or see it from themselves in order to make that decision. And what's so funny is that we tend to think that if someone needs to talk it out, they need us to help them with that. But that's not it. It's like a sounding board. They need to hear themselves say it, to then process it to make a decision.

Speaker 1:

Having this authority can be really confusing, because it seems like you need other people's opinion, but really their opinion is the opposite of helpful. So you need to find somebody who's a good sounding board for you that just lets you talk at them, or use an app like Voice Notes or Voxer and like talk it out and then listen to it back And you'll be able to hear what the right decision is Like. That's when it will become clear, and then the one at the least is 3%, and that is either a mental projector or a reflector, and they have lunar authority or no authority. Mental projectors have no clear authority, and what lunar authority is for reflectors is they need to wait 28 days to get clear on their decision. They have to wait a lunar cycle. I'm not saying you have to wait, but, like with the emotional wave, it's just longer. More information will become clear within 28 days to make the right decision for you.

Speaker 1:

And so you can see how, with these five main categories, people make decisions in very different ways. And when we're going into a launch, we tend to think that everybody, or you've been conditioned to believe, that everybody has sacral authority, that everybody is going to be a hell yes or a hell no, and I hear so often from people going through a launch that they're like no one bought on day one, so my launch is over, and it's like no. Only 35% of the people in your audience even had the authority to make a decision on day one, and they may not have enough information yet. So it is not a deal breaker if people don't buy on day one. Right, Give your audience some time to make that decision, and that's really what I want to talk about today is really understanding your audience's human design and how it goes into that part of your launch where they are making their decision. So, if you're good at math, only 46% of the population even possess the authority to make a quick decision. That's sacral and splenic And, like I was saying, splenic is not always that yes or no.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes it's a deeper, time-based thing. So, for example, i'm in a program right now that I started thinking about joining in July of 2021. It took me six months to really make the decision to join, and it's not because I didn't know that I wanted to join. I just didn't know when the right time was to join for me. But I knew I was going to join the program. That's more what splenic authority is. I knew I was going to buy it. I just didn't know when.

Speaker 1:

And so, really understanding that there's 35% to 46% of your audience are able to make quick decisions, the other 54% of the world need to think about it, and those are the people who often don't buy in a live launch, because a three to five day cart open is often not enough time for somebody with emotional authority to make a sound decision. And actually I tend to think that people who buy on day one are out of alignment emotional authorities who are like, yeah, i'm in, and then by day three, they're like, oh god, what did I do? And you just hope that they kind of level out and that they don't immediately request a refund. And so by giving people that opportunity to ride their emotional wave or to really listen to their own internal authority within the context of your launch, you're going to get the right people into your launch at the right time, and this is why I am such a big proponent of quantum launching, of this idea of really hybriding live launches and evergreen launches, because if you're only doing one or the other, you're missing out on half of the population. Like I said, 46% make a decision fairly quickly, 54% need a little bit more time, and so if you're only live launching, for example, live launching is really built for those quick decision makers.

Speaker 1:

Live launching was decided for people with sacral or spleenic authority, and it's because you have this urgency right, there's this deadline that creates urgency and this opportunity or decision that needs to be made that they can then respond to. So, like I was saying, the spleenic authority person probably came into your launch knowing that they were gonna buy anyway. They just needed to wait for the right time to buy, and so if it's the right time for them, then they will be a hell. yes, they will buy in a live launch. The spleen or the sacral authority people need to have something to respond to. That's the way that their body works. If you ask them like, hey, what do you want for dinner, they're not gonna be able to tell you, but if you're like, hey, do you want pizza for dinner? And they'll be like, no, do you want burgers for dinner? Yes, they have to have something to respond to. So, by going through a live launch and giving them something to respond to, they then have the opportunity to feel the hell yes or hell no in their gut. So those are the people who are buying during a live launch.

Speaker 1:

Live launching is great, but that's only 46% of the population. Live launching, though, is really great for other things too, especially within the context of a quantum launch system. So live launching is really good for building authority and for presenting the opportunity for an emotional or any other kind of authority to start making their decision right. It kind of starts the clock for them and lets them say like, okay, this is something that I may want, i'm gonna listen to my authority, and even if the doors close before I'm ready to make my decision, when you have a quantum launch system, there's always a second opportunity for them to buy. These are the people who go through multiple launches and buy, like two years later? right, because they had to sit through their decision-making process. Same thing with Spleenic authorities right, they know that they wanted, they're just waiting for the right time. And so by live launching, you're giving people that thing to kickstart the decision-making process. Right, and? but oftentimes the people who go through the launch, if they don't have Safe Roller, spleenic Authority, they're not going to be ready to buy right away. And so that's why, in the quantum launch system, i teach a hybrid of live launching and having an evergreen system on the backend that picks up those people with a second decision process. And so what this is really great for is those slower decision makers. Right, and not like slow in a judgment, but like slow as in people who need more time, like the 54% of people who are either emotional authority, self authority or lunar authority, those people need a little bit more time to process it, and so by having a secondary promotion time or a secondary process for that, you give people the space to make that decision.

Speaker 1:

What I think is really interesting about the difference between live launching and evergreen launching that we can really optimize for your audience is understanding that, like, people with Safe Roller Authority need urgency, right. They need a deadline to make a decision, they need a doors closing in order to maybe feel that Safe Roller response. But by having an evergreen launch strategy, you're tapping into a different type of urgency, which is intrinsic urgency. They know that now is the right time for them to buy it and they want to do it. And that's a different level of urgency right, people who know that they're ready and now is the time, not just because the doors are closing, not just because there's this arbitrary deadline that forces them to make a decision. That can be helpful for people who need to have that decision, like Safe Roller Authority, but everybody else loves to have the opportunity to say you know what, this is the right program, now is the right time. I'm gonna buy when it's right for me.

Speaker 1:

And giving people that autonomy by having an evergreen launch strategy really lets people make decisions when it's the right time to make a decision for them. And maybe you have emotional authority or one of these slower decision processes and you've bought something at the wrong time And so just sits on your shelf because you weren't ready to do it, but you felt pressured to buy it when you did because the doors were closing. This is something that makes people feel really disempowered I think that's the right word disempowered by the purchasing process, when they're not allowed to make decisions in the time that they need to make them. And I think that by giving, by understanding that people make decisions differently than you do and really structuring your business in a way that's empowering for all decision makers, it's something that is not only good customer service and not in good service to your audience, but it's also good business And it really gives you an opportunity to scoop up those people and give them the opportunity to buy when is the right time for them. So, like I said, emotional or evergreen launching or having some kind of backend promotion works best for people with emotional authority, people with lunar authority or self authority or mental authority, so everything besides the sake role and the spleen egg. So I know that this was a lot and that I just kind of like threw a billion words at you today, but what I want you to take away from this is really looking at the systems in your own business and ask am I setting up my audience to make a decision out of alignment with their authority? And you may, again, you may not have realized that this is a thing. You may have short cart opens because that's what your business guru told you to do, and you may not realize that you are alienating half of your audience by not like having another system for them. And that's really where this idea of quantum launching takes things to the next level, because you're not just live launching, you have an evergreen launch strategy that helps people make the decision when it's the right time for them. So I want you to.

Speaker 1:

If you don't know what your authority is, go check it out. Go to it's my bodygraphcom. I'm going to put that in the show notes. I could not remember that at the top of the show. My bodygraphcom is my favorite place to get your human design chart written. You can also go to like myhumandesigncom, i think, but I really like the way that my bodygraph lets you save things and gives you a little bit more information. But my bodygraphcom put in your date of birth, time of birth and location of birth And that will give you your human design And then you'll know what your authority is, which is your decision-making process, and go back and listen to this again and see if it resonates for you or see if that really helps you understand your own decision-making process even better And then start to look at the processes in your business where you're having people make a decision and where you're creating urgency in a way that may not be in alignment for your audience, and realizing that your audience comprises of all of these types of authorities, whether you want them to or not.

Speaker 1:

You cannot choose. Like I am only marketing to sacred authorities. Like you are going to attract everybody with every type of authority. So honoring their own authority, giving them that opportunity to trust their own decision-making process and make an aligned decision for them, is how you're going to make the biggest impact on the world. So I know that you want to learn more about quantum launching and I have so much coming up soon all about that. So definitely stay tuned and definitely leave a rating and review if that's something that you haven't done yet, because we love to hear your feedback And if you have any questions, reach out to me on Instagram at jessoconal underscore. Thank you so much for listening to the Quantum Course Creator podcast and I will see you in my next episode.
