One simple thing is created for young leaders. But hey, us older folks can still learn a thing or two. Ask my dog, he's learned a few new tricks recently. Here's a question for you. Have you ever wondered why some high-performing individuals struggle when they're promoted into leadership roles? They were great at what they did, they hit their targets, and they got things done. So, why do things suddenly feel harder when you step into management?

Leadership Is A Different Job

Here's the problem. What made you successful in your previous role, your expertise, your independence, and your ability to execute won't necessarily make you a great leader. In fact, it might even hold you back. Why? Because leadership is a different job. It's not about doing the work anymore, it's about enabling others to do it well. That shift is subtle, but it's critical. You're no longer measured by your own output, but you're measured by the performance, engagement, and output of your team. And that requires new skills, new mindsets, and frankly, a whole new identity. Because what got you here probably won't get you there.

Become The Guide, Not Hero
