In this homily given at St Pat's, (March 13, 2022), Fr. Mathias explains that because of what Jesus has done for us we belong more to heaven than to this world; we are, in fact, citizens of heaven. This has immediate and concrete implications for how we live in our world today. Living as citizens of heaven allows us to have clarity on who we should allow to influence us, it helps us to have laser-like focus on how to make good decisions in this world, and enables us to live in confidence, joy and thanksgiving because heaven is a gift from God that cannot be earned.
