Another series finale is upon us, but Dobbie and Drew are breaking with a two series long tradition and NOT speaking to a stranger this time round! Scandalous!
S03 E06 was recorded on 31.05.21 via zoom and the audio reflects this at times.
Dobbie has invited along Ann Mills, who is affectionately known to the Family Dobb as ‘Mother Mills’ and as you hear the love and care with which Ann presents her three things, you can see why she has been decorated with this honour! Ann speaks fondly of her past, with grit and determination about her present and with loving hope about her future, but as is often the case, the three things are linked for Ann and she could have easily expanded on any of them to tease out richer and richer reflections.
This episode is also dedicated to the loving memory of Alan Molyneux, Ann’s Father, whom Ann spoke so beautifully about through the recording (most of which remains in the episode).
A great way to end the series.
