Relay for Life withstands storms at annual gathering

THOMASVILLE -- A preceding -- thunderstorm and hour-long rain delay did not stop the efforts of those supporting Relay for Life Friday night in Thomasville at Gates Drive Park. Chamber Director Kara Durie led the opening ceremony with this year’s Relay superhero theme, “Saving the World, One Cure at a Time.” Thomasville High School student and ambassador, Charlie Nordan, sang the National Anthem.
