Buddhist Monks Pass Through Alabama on Walk For Peace

A group of Buddhist monks traveling on foot across the United States passed through Alabama last week as part of a months-long journey promoting peace, compassion and understanding. About two-dozen monks are undertaking a 2,300-mile walk from Fort Worth, Texas, to Washington, D.C. Their journey began Oct. 26 and is scheduled to conclude Feb. 13 at the U.S. Capitol.
