Thomasville's Davis out for the season

Thomasville High School will be without one of its key returning players this fall after running back and outside linebacker Troy Davis underwent knee surgery last week. Tigers coach Clint Anderson confirmed Davis (5-8, 170 sophomore) will miss the 2026 football season because of a pre-existing knee injury that required surgery. Thomasville will get a first look at this season’s offense and defense at a 7-on-7 scheduled for July 16. The Tigers finished 6-5 last season and will play in the new 2A Region 1 this season with Clarke County, Chickasaw, Hillcrest-Evergreen, J.U. Blacksher, Luverne and Monroe County. They open...
