The Clarke County Commission was honored with an efficiency and innovation in county government award for its solid waste enforcement program at the 98th annual Association of County Commissions of Alabama convention. Solid waste enforcement officer Jim Hudson has played a vital part in making the program successful. Two other officers were recognized at the convention. Clarke County Commissioner Tyrone Moye was elected the second vice president of the ACCA and county personnel manager Angie Lewis earned her certificate in county administration through the County Government Education Institute program.
