GROVE HILL — Grove Hill Fire Rescue volunteers recently combined lessons on fire safety with hands-on opportunities to learn about firefighting equipment during a visit to Wilson Hall Middle School. Volunteers Elizabeth Hayles, Royce Council and Samuel Collins represented GHFR and spoke with students about fire safety and the equipment firefighters use while responding to emergencies. Students were given the opportunity to get a closer look at the equipment on the fire truck, providing a hands-on learning experience and allowing them to better understand the tools firefighters rely on in their work.
