Ladies and gentlemen, it's I for the John Truman Wolf Financial Hour. Now, here's John Truman Wolf.
SPEAKER_02Hello, America. John Truman Wolf here with the John Truman Wolf Financial Hour. Thank you so much for joining us on this uh beautiful summer day, broadcasting as we do uh every week live from the beautiful Los Padres National Forest, uh high in the mountains, way north of Los Angeles. Um pretty pretty warm here, not as bad as it is uh down in uh LA. Talking to our producer, Mike, it's 100 down there. My brother just went and played golf down in Bakersfield, it's 100. Uh up here in the mountains, it's about 80. Nice, cool. Um so that all said, uh, let's take a look at the uh investment sectors of the uh economy, as we do at the beginning of every show. Um the uh President Trump's uh uh you know his foreign policy is gonna boy be dictated by what happens in Iran and what happens with the tariffs. So he kicked a bunch of tariffs up today, and uh the Dow Jones was off uh uh 500 and some odd points. Uh so the equities took a hit. Um they're down from their high. Uh and um I I uh personally I I'm still optimistic about the stock market going forward. Uh there are those that are concerned about a shakeout, and certainly one could come uh with the when the Dow's trading in the in the 50,000 uh point range. Um uh precious metals, bad day. Uh gold managed to stay above four thousand dollars an ounce, uh, but just barely uh as it was uh sharply down. Um and I'm not exactly sure. I didn't uh uh see exactly why that was. Normally it uh reacts to uh a strong dollar. Uh strong dollar means a weak gold and vice versa. Uh the the you know the one area of the economy that's um uh perked up uh and uh has just kind of been inching up, crawling up, uh kind of like a spider crawling up a wall, is crypto, uh, with uh Bitcoin now over 65,000 as we speak. Um and uh enough people have kind of shared what uh is my vision, and it's certainly uh the vision of many, many others, is that uh uh crypto uh has been in a trough, but uh the future for uh the cryptocurrency market uh is up and uh so people are you know are buying back in uh up a few thousand in the last few days. And um I think I think that will continue. Um I don't know that it'll it'll go straight up back to its highs over a hundred thousand, but uh it's climbing up. I think it's I think it continues to be a good buy. Uh uh for those that uh listen to the show, you know I'm a fan also of uh the Crypto Tron, which I uh uh which is trading at 30s, 30 some odd dollars uh a token. Uh nice buy, I think, and XRP. I'm a fan of that. Um so those are a couple of uh crypto recommendations as we take a quick break here. Uh I'm John Truman Wolf, and this is the John Truman Wolf Financial Hour. Thanks for being with us. We'll be right back after these messages.
SPEAKER_06Progressive knows that boat days can come with unexpected problems.
SPEAKER_16Ding! I forgot the weight board. How am I supposed to enjoy myself without my favorite water activity? I mean, sure, we could still go tubing, fishing, or even just relax on a floaty, but without the weight board, what's the point?
SPEAKER_06If a real problem comes along, your boat's protected 24-7 with progressive. So you can keep worrying about boater problems. Progressive Casualty Insurance Company and affiliate's not available in DC.

SPEAKER_02Joined as we are uh many, many weeks with our good friend Mike Letz, um who has a uh magnificent uh uh nonprofit. Uh uh Mike, I'd like to ask you a personal question. Every week we talk about your your great uh nonprofit, uh investusa.org, which uh benefits uh uh police by uh providing bulletproof vests for those that don't. Well, I'm curious a bit a bit about your law enforcement background and what made you decide to establish that uh that wonderful nonprofit. I'm curious.
SPEAKER_09Well, I'm glad you asked. Uh you know, I served as a city constable under two different governors, then with the state law enforcement division, and then when chaplain the program was in there, city police, the county sheriff's department, and did some work also with the feds. Uh besides working with intelligence agency among other things. But to answer your question specifically, I got tired of officiating at funerals of officers who were killed in the line of duty, looking at those small kids that were left behind and realizing it could have made a difference.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, uh it's a terrific nonprofit, and uh uh I'm so glad you did it. Um, as I'm sure is uh the law enforcement community. Um all right, let's uh let's jump in a little bit to uh our normal uh discussion topic, which is the politics of DC. Um we're struggling with this Save America Act, Mike. I I I don't know if we're gonna get it passed or not. Doesn't look doesn't look uh promising in from the stuff I'm reading. Well any you have anything different?
SPEAKER_09You are correct. I believe there is enough rhinos, whether it's Lisa from Alaska or you know quite a few others that are John, even John Toon, unfortunately, who are determined to try to kill this thing. But you say all of all is lost. Absolutely not. It's the exact opposite. You know, last surgery the president held a press briefing. Um fact it was after I believe we've got done all from here, where he said, look, election integrity is a burdening issue. And instead of me elaborating on it and having the media saying I'm trying to uh persuade it by way, I'm just gonna post all the documents from all the intelligence ongo. And let you take a look at where his head in the meantime you can lose his speech. We're gonna be circumventing a lot of processes and vaccines military tribunals and military charges. So uh they're not gonna know what's going on. It's gonna totally catch them off guard, and we're gonna move forward with this what is necessary to do despite the objections of many members of Congress. And one of the key things that um so that our listeners understand what's just gonna transpire. You know, we've known that the Chinese have been actively involved in sabotaging for years. And how do they do it? They do it through the voter registration list, which are held by every state, the Secretary of State's office. We know that all the democratic states are refusing to turn over their list because they're scared of what they know we will find. So the president is going to circumvent that and we're gonna use it as to declare national security. And uh we will go in and seize those records. And I think we better be shocked as to how many dead people are able to vote from the grave, besides being illegals as well. So that is forthcoming.
SPEAKER_02The point I'm making to our listening audience is yes, it would be nice to see the support unified across the country with a SAVE act, but we have figured out now we're gonna accomplish the same ease amen uh and just go around and well the the the China it's uh uh uh Trump plays an interesting uh uh game there with the Chinese. He maintains um I don't I don't know if the word friendly, the adjective friendly works of but uh uh a friendly relationship with Xi Jinping at the same time. Um I mean the both countries, I'm sure, uh conduct that kind of, I guess you'd call it intelligence. Um but the fact uh the degree to which the Chinese seem to have been able to um uh access uh voter records in the United States is a little bit appalling. I w I was shocked. Uh you may know that stuff, but I was I was shocked. I mean, you kind of think a little of it's going on, but uh I I can't remember the number, hundreds of millions.
SPEAKER_09Well, hey, here's what makes it all interesting, so that our listeners understand how all these pieces of the puzzle are started to fall into place. You know, Venezuela was the headquarters for the electronic voting uh scandal, shall we say. And that's why we went into Venezuela. Venezuela was highly influenced by China, that was their backdoor. And of course, you know, once they figured out how what people to manipulate through the voter registration list, they knew what to do with it when it came time for the electronic voting machines. I think your listeners may be interested to know you notice it just came out yesterday that suddenly uh Dominion and Snap dropped the $1.7 billion losses they were doing against Mike Lindell. Uh they know it's coming. And uh they better be prepared because we are not going to uh treat them with kick gloves, I can assure you that.
SPEAKER_02Um Lindell is uh is he running? Do I re do I recall right? Is he running for governor?
SPEAKER_09Um I know that there had been he was you know on the discussing that, doing that. Did he actually file or not? To be honest with you, I can't remember whether he did or didn't.
SPEAKER_02Uh I d I don't know. I thought he did, and then I've you lost track of him uh following that lawsuit, and um I see he's back advertising now, so good good on him. Um uh meanwhile, in terms of uh our geopolitical uh quote enemies, end quote, um the Chinese economy is is suffering uh uh considerably. I mean, they have a lot of bluster, but uh they're having a hard time, which uh if I look at it from a geopolitical uh uh uh point of view, uh I think that's just fine. They can struggle, uh they can struggle away as far as I'm concerned.
SPEAKER_09Uh I would agree with you, John. I think one of the things he does bring to light is that look, just like the fertilizer uh situation is becoming a global issue now. We need to understand that we do not need to be dependent on any other country for anything we need to sustain our quality of life, whether it's energy, whether it's uh food, whatever it might be. We need to restructure the way we uh operate this country and make sure America is taken care of first and foremost within its own borders, and then we can go from there.
SPEAKER_02Well, um I think the the country I think is as strong as it has ever been. It's the most powerful, it's the most powerful nation on earth, and uh it's the most prosperous nation on earth, and uh uh we're lucky to be we're lucky to be here. Um looking forward looking forward to that. All right, folks, talking to our friend Mike uh uh Let's at uh Investusa.org. I'm John Trem and Wolf. This is the John Trim and Wolf Financial Hour. SPEAKER_02All right, folks, we are back. John Truman Wolf here with the John Truman Wolf Financial Hour. Even though the Dow's off 500 points today, it's trading well above 50,000. The precious metals market still trading at high levels compared to the past. That said, gold, as I said at the beginning of the show, down to about $4,000 an ounce, and crypto uh uh edging up. My point is just to, I mean, in summarizing these things, that the investment uh climate is strong. Um the country is in in strong shape. Uh you know the pr the pr the president uh does something that uh I don't recall any other president doing, which is he is uh uh dictating uh manipulating foreign policy uh via tariffs. Um and if he gets in a beef with somebody, uh Canada or somebody like that, well he uh he just throws uh uh tariffs at them and uh they they you know they usually back down. Nobody we we're the biggest uh economic market in the world, uh and nobody wants uh uh to be shut out of this market, uh not entirely or even partially by tariffs. So um uh he uses them uh art of the deal. Uh he uses tariffs as a as a depar you know, an aspect of American foreign policy. It's uh kind of fascinating to watch. Um the markets don't like it. Uh as I said, uh Dow off 500 points today, but um uh the the guy sits in the White House and and and and does his uh uh does his uh does his art of the deal. Um anyway, the but the bottom line of that communication is that I think uh the country is stronger than it's ever been. I don't mean that it doesn't have uh aspects that need to be fixed. Well I have talked endlessly about the fact that we're uh sitting on a $40 trillion uh uh uh uh debt. I was gonna say budget deficit. It's the the deficit, there's a difference between the deficit and the debt, which uh uh I think I may have explained before, but I will again here just briefly. Uh a budget deficit is the amount that uh uh the income doesn't cover expenses. If we've got uh you know five trillion dollars in income uh and spend six thousand and six trillion in uh in uh expenses, uh the deficit is a trillion.
unknownUh-huh.
SPEAKER_02Uh that's the deficit. The debt is how that uh trillion in that example I just gave builds up over time, which it has been doing and uh sits at uh forty trillion. Uh it's the one thing that uh uh I have found disappointing of the president's uh uh not targeted that, not specifically, not overtly. Um I am hopeful that all of a sudden the the uh budget debt will come uh into his sights and uh we begin to trim that down because it's uh it's egregious. And the amount of interest on the debt, I think, is the second or third largest budget item. The interest is the third largest budget, second or third largest budget item. So um the the guy I've said it before, I'll say it again, the the those con the people in Congress, representatives, senators, uh can't not uh overspend. It's just part of how they operate, and it's uh uh it's reckless, it's irresponsible, uh, but there you go. But aside from that, and that the it's not as simple aside from because the debt is huge and um uh the you know social security. Security is will go upside down in uh 2032. Uh there's also some there's uh already some congressional concern about that, thank God. Uh but um it's a problem, folks. I mean if we're spending a trillion dollars, a trillion a trillion dollars is a lot of money. Uh and uh we just overspend, overspend, overspend. Um uh the truth, the truth is it's why I left the Republican Party. I'm a registered independent. Um because uh the Democrats have never been fiscally responsible, and they're and and neither have the Republicans uh uh of late. So um I'm I'm uh independent in that regard. All right. Um that's enough blather about uh the debt and the investment uh opportunities. Uh I've got them some interesting uh subjects I want to come back to. I'm John Truman Wolfe, and this is a John Trummel Wolfe Financial Hour, and we'll be back right after this.

SPEAKER_02Ooks John Triwan Wolfe with you, and we are back. If you look at the economy in the U.S. generally, it looks really healthy right this minute. It has its uh uh out its you know errors, its uh uh points of uh uh problems. Um uh the national debt, the biggest that we just discussed. Um but this war is uh um uh starting um beginning to start uh a real problem. Um Doug Casey, the famous international investor, uh made mention of this in a in a recent newsletter. Let me let me quote some of this because it's uh it's it's noteworthy. Um the current disruption is far more dangerous, I'm quoting now, than an ordinary political s uh geopolitical scare. The early effects are already appearing across parts of Asia, uh fuel restrictions, flight cancellations, rationing, travel limits, and emergency conservation uh measures. And even if Hormuz fully reopens, supply chains, shipping schedules, and depleted inventories will take a long time to normalize. Oil can disappear from the market quickly, according to um Casey. Replacing it is much harder. Of course, it's obvious. At this point, an energy crisis appears all but guaranteed. The only questions are how severe it becomes and when the broader investing public recognizes it. Um so um uh you know it's a it's it's a valid point. Clearly, this war is uh gone on longer and has become more severe than uh I'm sure the president thought or Pete Haiggs has thought or uh Rubio or any of the administration, um uh it seems to be widening, not uh um uh calming down. Uh efforts at uh negotiating a settlement have have failed, uh unfortunately. And uh uh you know these guys, these Mools, the R I R G C they're religious fanatics, you know. It it it's uh they're happy to die and go to heaven uh and uh meet up with their 17 virgins. Um so uh they're not about to stop. Um and uh uh I I think it's fair to say the war has uh not only escalated but but widened. You've now got uh uh the Hootsis out of out of Yemen, um uh given Saudi Arabia a hard time, and uh there's other situations like that in the Middle East, um, all of which goes back to this point that Doug Casey was making that uh we we've got a we've got a real problem with uh oil. I mean we've got uh we're in better shape than most countries on the on the planet, but um what is going on there and with that with the Strait of Hormuz uh continuing to be under threat um uh means that uh the oil crisis uh is not gonna go away anytime soon. In this case, he points out uh it's easy to remove it, it's not so easy to replace it even if uh even if and when that uh strait opens back up. Um uh I'm not sure I'm not sure uh uh at what degree the bombing uh actually gets a result. Um he's got this thing going now, and uh I think last time I looked, it's what eleven tw eleven or twelve days of bombing. Um I don't know if it's going on uh tonight, which would make I think would make it thir 13 days. Um uh but they still have uh you know apparently silos with these uh missiles, drones, I don't know, all all the different uh kinds of uh uh military attack equipment Iran still maintains, but they still maintain some. Uh and they're not about to uh sit down with the great Satan uh uh uh you know and I the it's the IRGC. They're not about to s sit down with the great Sat Satan at all. Um so I don't think it looks good. I'm a little surprised the market's holding. I mean it was off a little bit today, but that was that was due to tariffs, uh not you know, not the war. Um and I'm also surprised uh that the precious metals are down because those uh gold and silver tend to go up uh uh during a war. And uh the the the end point I think that most people thought uh would uh uh result from the bombing um and end this thing and bring these people to the table and have them uh basically you know agree not to uh create a nuclear weapon uh and give up on the Straits of Hormuz. At this point, those two points, those two negotiating points of this war, uh are still uh very much in contention. So uh I think Casey's point is well taken. Um uh even if the the oil uh straits uh the Straits of Hormuz are opened, uh fully opened, uh it's gonna take some time to recover. Okay, that's my two bits worth and uh and what's coming, uh both of which argue for higher oil prices. I think oil's up now back up to a hundred bucks a a barrel. Um from I think I think it got down as low as eighty some odd. Um you know this is uh uh war is wasteful. Uh Americans are now dying. Um Iranians uh certainly are dying. Um you'd think uh rational people could come to a table and sit down and talk this stuff out. Obviously that's not the case. And and uh uh the United States has got its uh its uh boots in there uh big time. Um all right. I want to talk when we come back. I want to talk about something non-political and uh talk a little bit about this person, Candace Owens. Um I'm John Tremend Wolf. This is the John Trim and Wolf Financial Hour. We'll be right back. Stay with us.
SPEAKER_12I can't think of anything worse than the looming threat of potentially having chip limps. It was ginger vanilla, too, my favorite flavor.
SPEAKER_06If a real problem comes along, your boat's protected 24-7 with progressive, so you can keep worrying about motor problems. Progressive Casualty Insurance Company and affiliate's not available in DC.

SPEAKER_17We look behind and in front sometimes.
SPEAKER_07Really? Check them both out. You can see everything there. This isn't your show for sports scores. This is the show about the politics of sports.
SPEAKER_17We're not ripping reading. We don't care about what the Phillies and the St. Louis Cardinals did in the third inning on a rainy day. Who cares? We're here to give you insight into a certain part of the sports world you don't normally see. Wednesdays at four on CRN.
SPEAKER_02All right, folks, we're back. John Truman Wolf back with you with the John Truman Wolf Financial Hour. I was gonna uh uh uh talk a bit about uh Candace Owens, who years ago I used to follow with great interest. Uh sharp girl um uh watching her testify before Congress and eating up some of those uh uh legislators was um uh thrilling. Um something happened. I don't know what it was, but something changed because all of a sudden she's out with all kinds of um very strange uh conspiracy uh uh uh uh theories. Um I mean it's as if somebody just took her mind, put it in a bottle, and shook it up, uh uh you know, shook it up. Uh she's in the middle of a lawsuit uh uh claiming that uh uh the the French president's wife is a man. Um uh more to the point is her uh theories on the death of Charlie Kirk, uh and she has uh all kinds of ideas on how uh Israel um uh uh you know arranged his uh his murder. Uh all of her theories are being debunked by uh the suit of his actual murderer, which is going on as we speak. It's just curious uh what happened to this girl who who at one point made a great deal of uh sense and uh uh now uh uh doesn't. I'm not sure what happened. There's some major change there. Um all right. Um because I'm a fan of hers is uh close to me. And uh uh he's a big fan. I'm not so much anymore. Um back to um politics. Um the White House has been via via um uh the the press secretary um and others are now jumping all over um uh John Thune and um uh and the Senate for not uh you know getting the Save America bill passed and and others. I uh you know, my point of view, maybe it's wrong. Uh I'm not the president of the United States, I'm not Donald Trump. Um but I don't know why he attacks these people publicly. I mean, in some cases that may make sense if a person is a real enemy, but uh, you know why go ahead and attack the head of the Senate when the guy's trying to get this legislation through? Okay, he's not getting it done, um hasn't gotten it done, okay. Uh you call him to the White House and have a conversation there, not in the press. I just don't think that makes any sense at all. So now he's uh you know he's upset and he um you know he goes back. You don't want to carry on a a dispute with the head uh the majority leader of the Senate uh of your own party um in the press. It's just foolish. I mean, you know, Donald Trump gets a lot done. Uh I th nobody can deny that. He gets a great deal done. He gets more done than any president in history, as far as I'm concerned. But boy, does this guy need uh help with his PR. He doesn't seem to care. Uh and he and he he ha he just attacks anything that he doesn't like or that disagrees with him. And uh uh you're not gonna get it's not gonna help you get the the bill through by uh attacking John Thune. I just don't think it makes any sense at all. Caroline Levitt out there beating in beating him up uh to to to what cause?
SPEAKER_08Is that supposed to be uh clearly looks like we're having an issue with John from Will's connection, and hopefully we can get him reconnected shortly. Uh very fascinating topics, what he's talking about. Let's just do a clip, a quick recap of today's news. The market definitely not doing great right now, uh, obviously because of uh certain earnings by some certain technology companies, specifically in the AI space, and of course, because of these high oil prices, as John Truman Wolf said, over $100 a barrel. And that will definitely see prices increase in every sector, because everything you get comes from a truck or is powered by some sort of fossil fuel in the manufacturing base. So hopefully there'll be some sort of negotiation and we can get this war uh under control, because as John said, this war is not helping anybody. It's not helping the American people, it's not helping the Iranian people, and hopefully they can come to some sort of solution uh because $100 a barrel of oil, and I just saw some reporting from some national security experts that say they expect that price to actually rise considerably, specifically if the Houthis uh shut down the Red Sea. And so now the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea, both somewhat closed to traffic from uh cargo, including uh crude oil from the Middle East. So hopefully we can see some sort of resolution to the situation moving forward, and we can get back to that sweet spot where oil is around $75 a barrel, where it's still profitable for American companies to produce, but not too expensive where we see inflation uh around the country. Instagram you guys are right back. Hopefully we can get Mr. John Truman Wolf connected again. Stay with us, folks.

SPEAKER_08Okay, we are back here listening to the John Truman Wolf Financial Hour. I'm producer Mike sitting in for Bruce, for excuse me, for John Truman Wolf, as he is having some issues with his connection up there in the beautiful Las Patres National Forest. It's a rural area, so internet can be a little bit spotty, especially when these hot temperatures in the LA area as well. And so just a quick review of the financial news of the day. A bad day, folks. Bad day indeed. The SP 500, down nearly 1.21%, closing around 7,400. The Dow 30, 51,711. That's down 500 points, a little over 500 points, which is just shy of 1%. The NASDAQ really took a crippling loss today, down nearly 2.15%, down 553 points off of earnings that did not meet expectations with SpaceX and Tesla. Also uh Russell 2000 down nearly uh about a half a percent, down the 19 uh after news broke that oil prices are uh over $100 a barrel, and certain technology companies did not meet their expected earnings this quarter. Uh you can always imagine when the markets go down, you can see some of the equities go up a little bit. Gold was up just slightly today, uh, but back over $4,000 an ounce. It was hovering around uh $3,200 for quite some time, but we're seeing that uh expand a little bit. Uh you can always expect the equities, the gold markets, the precious metals markets to increase when there's turmoil in the markets, the uh the the investment markets, specifically the stock exchanges or in the indexes around the world and around the country. Bitcoin, uh another took a big hit today as well, down nearly 1.6%. It is still 65,000, folks. And if you got on on Bitcoin early, which I know that John Truman Wolf did, because he's a true believer and he saw the potential, you are still ahead. Uh we have not seen Bitcoin over $100,000 for quite some time, but just think, folks, I remember 10, 15 years ago when it was at $2,500, now it's at $65,000. Imagine the return. That's nearly a uh 20x return right there. And I want to go back to something that John Truman Wolf talked about earlier with Candace Owens about what happened to her. Of course, Candace Owens got her start uh with Ben Shapiro's company um and the Daily Wire. And then he's right, something happened to her. Uh, and it even happened even before uh the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Uh I believe uh that she was uh fired, summarily fired from the Daily Wire because of some of her uh uh uh remarks and views that some could construe as being anti-Semitic. And uh I'm not gonna report this uh as true, but there has been rumors uh and some pr rumors from some pretty credible sources that perhaps Candace Owens and others are maybe taking money from some nefarious parties, maybe some parties that have an interest in uh some of her content being uh anti-Israel. And I'm specifically talking about the Qataris. The Qataris have been known to spread their their wealth around to influence certain individuals, especially those involved in the social media space, where they can get their their message out there. And so I hope that Candace Owens, uh, who just seems quite unhinged recently, uh perhaps maybe she needs some mental health uh experts to to step in there. Perhaps maybe uh this is all about money. Uh smartest man ever knew once said that the answer to all your questions will always be money. Once again, a quick recap of the markets today. The Dow uh 500 points down. Hopefully we'll see a rebound. Maybe it's a time to buy the dip there. NASDAQ down nearly 500 points as well, off weaker than expected earnings of certain technology companies, including Tesla and SpaceX. But uh, as John Truman Wolf and I were talking about before the show, Tesla, specifically Tesla in this instance, the SpaceX for that matter, Elon Musk is not planning for quarter-to-quarter earnings. He's looking at the bigger picture, he's looking at not next quarter, he's looking at the next five to ten years. He uh Tesla has already uh discontinued the Model S and also the Model X and is turning that Fremont assembly line where both those vehicles were made into a new factory to build robots. And so I guess he sees something in the future that perhaps we don't see yet, and maybe he's right. He's been right all an awful lot over his career. He's a world's richest man for a reason. All right, folks, make sure to check out strategic financial intelligence.com, strategic financial intelligence.com, and take care, folks.
