This is an episode about a woman's greatest tragedy becoming her greatest trial.  The eviction of Hagar from Abraham's and Sarah's home takes her from bondage to freedom and from brokenness to blessed.  The end of Hagar's story with Abraham was the beginning of Hagar's story that birthed her freedom.  Hagar gave Abraham and Sarah the best years of her life; they used her body, and her mind.  When they no longer needed her, they evicted her from their home.  She came to Abraham as a slave, and he sent her away with only a bottle of water to her name to wander in the wilderness.  Hagar was never meant to live by what Abraham gave her, but she was to live by what God said to her.  What Abraham gave her quickly ran out, but God said to her has lasted a lifetime.   The Lord met Hagar in the desert and provided for her.  You Are a Daughter of God and He Sees Your Heart, & It Doesn’t Matter How You Start—it’s not how you begin but how you end that counts in life—Hagar may have known God in a different and deeper way than Sarah did because of her experiences with God in the desert.  When you read and study both Jewish and Muslim history Hagar is well respected and seen as an important woman figure who influences nations of men.
