Welcome And Origin Story
SPEAKER_00Hello and welcome back to the Spiritual Shit Show. My name is Julie Wynn. I am an intuitive channel life coach, former dance studio owner, and a woman who has chased goals, hit goals, burned out from goals, and then had to completely redefine what success even means. Today we're talking about something that changed my life about 20 years ago. And it was my first coaching session. I walked into that session thinking I needed a strategy. I needed structure. I was desperate to get out of this stuck cycle in my life. I needed a plan. I needed someone to tell me how to get there. I needed somebody to hold me accountable. And on that first meeting, I thought we were gonna get that plan, create that strategy. And instead, she had me close my eyes. She walked me through a future self-visualization. And I remember coming out of that meditation feeling so lit up. I felt so empowered, so clear, like something inside of me had clicked into place. She told me to choose an object, something physical that would remind me every single day of who I was becoming. So I bought a locket and I wore that locket as a symbol, not of hustle, not of pressure, but of embodiment, of remembering. Every time I touched that locket, I could visualize my future self, which then kept me on the path. And I knew I was gonna get there, so I was able to incorporate joy and excitement and creativity along the way. And here's what I want to say before we get into this meditation together. When I first started setting goals in my life, I set goals because I thought those goals would make me happy. I thought achievement equaled fulfillment. I set goals, I achieved them, I worked my ass off to accomplish them. I can achieve anything I put my mind to, but that doesn't necessarily guarantee happiness because I wasn't happy. I worked my ass off, and when I achieved it, I was stressed, I was tired, I was exhausted. And I was immediately then on to the next thing. There was no satisfaction in the accomplishment of the big goal. There was no landing, there was no like, wow, I made it. Woo-hoo! There was just pressure and on to the next. So if you are doing manifestation work right now, if you're vision boarding, journaling, calling things in, I also want to gently remind you that sometimes what we think is going to bring happiness truly isn't in alignment with our soul. I want you to go a little deeper. Not what you think you should want, not what looks impressive, not what social media says equals success, but what your soul actually craves. Because sometimes you think you want a bigger life, and what your soul really wants is for you to love the life that you have, to be present, to be happy, to play more. The work can be so simple, and yet it can be hard. So today I'm gonna guide you through a future self-meditation. When you're ready, let's begin. Go ahead and close your eyes and begin to bring your awareness back to your breath. Feel your body supported, whether you're in a chair or lying down. Let the surface beneath you hold you, allowing your body to resonate with the sensation of being held safe, supported. Anchor into your breath, following the inhale and the exhale. And just notice where the breath wants to travel within the body. And as you continue to focus on your breath, begin to gently call your energy back from all timelines, all dimensions, people, places, call all of your energy back. All of your awareness is here, all of your awarenesses now, all of your awarenesses in your body. Continue to follow the pace of your breath, follow the depth, follow the range, and allow the breath to go as deep into the body as it wants to go. No force, just space. We are inviting the energy of your present self in this timeline to travel forward to meet your future self in a future timeline. Take a deep breath and notice how your body feels as you set that intention, allowing my present self to move forward in time, to lovingly meet my future self, and to see what I'm doing in a future timeline. And when you're ready, in your mind's eye, look ahead, you begin to see a portal, a tunnel, a tube of light. It's soft, glowing, inviting. Begin to walk towards it. With every step, you feel curiosity, you feel excitement, you feel possibility, and as you enter this portal of light, you begin to notice you are traveling through time. Maybe three years from now, maybe five, maybe ten, you get to choose. Feel what it feels like in your body to time travel into a higher timeline, into an expanded version of your life. As you move through this tunnel, notice the sensation. Am I moving fast, slow? Does it feel spacious, electric? Just observe. And as you get closer to the end of the tunnel, you begin to see someone waiting. It's you, your future self. And as you step closer, the tunnel gently dissolves behind you. Take a look down at your feet. Notice where have you landed? Are you in a home? Are you outside? Are you in a place that is unfamiliar to you? Are you in a new location? Maybe you're in the same place, but it holds a different energy. Just notice where your feet are and begin to notice where you have landed. Take it in and then bring your eyes up and look around. What do you see? How do you feel? And then look at your future self who is standing in front of you. Notice how they are dressed. Notice the energy that they have. Notice how does this future version of myself carry themselves? How do you look? Do you look peaceful, excited, grounded, successful, radiant, soft, powerful, accomplished? Notice your posture, your eyes. Notice your nervous system. And then begin to observe what you see as your future self starts to show you your life. What have you created? What have you accomplished? What are you currently working on? Who have you surrounded yourself with? What do you love doing? What does a normal day in this future timeline look like? Allow the awarenesses to come naturally and notice if you can feel maybe the excitement. Can you feel, wow, this is so cool? And allow your body to feel that. Now allow your future self to show you their wisdom, the stories that shaped them. Look around again, take it all in, and then imagine you and your future self sitting down together. Maybe it's at a table, maybe it's outside, maybe it's with a cup of tea or matcha or coffee, and allow a conversation to begin. You may ask your future self, what do I need to focus on right now? And then pause. Listen, what do I need to focus on right now? What do I need to let go of? What doesn't truly matter? And then pause and listen. What doesn't matter? And then you can ask your future self, what does matter? What do I need to focus on? What do I need to remember? And then you can ask for any final words of wisdom. Let these words land, breathe them in, and then when you're ready, you both stand up. You take one more look around this future timeline. This is what is waiting for you. This is the magic ahead. Let your body take it in, let your heart expand. How does it feel to be shown this? How do you feel? And as you prepare to give your future self a hug to say goodbye before you step away, your future self says, wait, I have something for you. And they reach deep into the pocket and hold out their hand, open their palm, and they hand you a symbol, an object, a word, a feeling. What is it that they are offering you? And then you take this symbol, hold it to your heart, feel the energetic frequency of this future timeline, feel it being transferred to you. Feel it landing in your body. Feel the gratitude for being shown a possibility that awaits you. You take one last look around. You say goodbye for now and step back into the portal of light. And as you begin traveling back through time, notice how you feel. Do you feel excited, motivated, peaceful, anchored, grateful, coming back into the present moment. Begin to wiggle your fingers, toes, reconnect to the breath. You just visited a future timeline. In this future timeline, you were steady, clear. You are living the magic that feels aligned. And here's what I want you to remember: the timeline is not separate from you. This was not random. This was not a fantasy. This is potential. And what your future self handed you wasn't just an image. It was encouragement, momentum, frequency, evidence. This is what is possible for you. So now, choose a physical anchor: a necklace, ring, bracelet, stone, words written on paper, something that you can see or touch every single day that's going to remind you. I am building that timeline. Oh. I am excited for this future version of me who is powerful, creative, loving, in there knowing, aligned. Take a couple more deep breaths. I hope this meditation was as powerful as it was for me when I did it 20 years ago. Thank you for being here. Thank you for letting me walk you through your journey. Thank you for allowing me to remind you the light, the magic, and the power that you are. I am sending you so much love. Till next time.
