Speaker 1:

Hi everyone, welcome back. My name is Carmen Ramos and you're listening to my Cheek and Tuition. See, last week's episode was our introduction to season 2, and how much of an intense date that was. If you thought that was intense, well, this new episode is going to be super intense. So I just went on a date recently and I was having a conversation with this person and he asked me and goes hey, what is the most craziest date you've ever experienced? And I said, oh, I have this story to tell you. So let's bring it back a couple years ago.

Speaker 1:

I was in Los Angeles, leaving the gym, and you know, when I was leaving the gym, I had, you know, headphones on and a pair of sunglasses and hats. So you really knowing that is code for do not talk to me, leave me alone, right? So this guy, when I was leaving the gym, goes up to me and goes, hey, like I've seen you around the gym, like I would like to take you out, we should hang out some time, or even like work out together. And I was like, okay, like cool, sounds cool. So then I gave him my number and decided to, you know, talk to him on text messages and whatever. So he goes hey, do you want to go out to brunch this week? And I said, okay, cool, like that sounds like a good idea. And we decided to go to brunch and like it was a pretty dope spot, it was like an outdoor place and it was like such a vibe. We went to the bar. I got myself a red bull because at that time I didn't drink really and he was like okay, like let's go to the table and meet up the friends. So I was like, okay, cool, so we go to the table, his friends are there and we're just like talking or whatever. And he goes I have to go to the bathroom. And I said, okay, I'll be right here. So then he goes to the bathroom and then comes back, and when he comes back he offers me a lollipop. So I look at him and I said, no, I'm okay, because, duh, you don't take candy from strangers. So I'm like no, okay, thank you, and I just put it in my back. So then after you know that I was just like something's off. So then I was feeling kind of weird and when I was sitting at the, at the lounge or whatever, I see like a LAPD helicopter, just you know, surrounding the place and I'm like that's interesting, right. But I'm like, oh, that's LA, la is very like that.

Speaker 1:

So after that I go to him. I'm like you know what? I kind of want to go to the movie theater. I want to go see Aladdin. And he's like, okay, let's go. I was like, alright, cool. So we go see Aladdin.

Speaker 1:

Well before that we're at the like, we're going up into like the theater and I don't know, I feel like someone's watching us. It's like this weird presence, right. I'm like, no, maybe it's my anxiety, maybe I don't trust this guy, maybe you know there's, I don't know. So we go there and I'm just like in this like weird place where I feel really anxious, and we're sitting there watching Aladdin, and I see a man come into the movie theater looking like kind of like a sheriff kind of guy with, like you know, a pistol on like his side, and I'm like that's odd, but maybe they have security at this movie theater, so I'm just like watching the movie, whatever. And then, oh, let's rewind back.

Speaker 1:

So before brunch he asked me to put his laptop in my place. So he goes. You know, hey, like I don't want to leave my laptop in the car. You know there's a lot of people that are like stealing stuff. Is that okay, that I can like place it in your house? So it's like yeah, it's fine. So I tell him, like you can go upstairs and just place it. So he places it in whatever. So then, okay, let's fast forward.

Speaker 1:

Now, after movie theater, he is driving me home and he's like I've forgot my laptop at your place and I said, okay, like let's go, you can grab it. So he goes upstairs and I'm like not one that I'm like gonna rush him out, because we just, like you know, we went to brunch and then went to go see the movie, so we were just talking whatever. And then he goes to me can I stay at your place? And I was like no, absolutely not. And he was like okay. So then he decides to like I was like okay, you grab your stuff. And he grabs it. And I see that he grabbed. He's put it in my room, which was like so strange, because this man has never been to my house, you know what I mean. So it's like very strange that he did that. So then afterwards he grabbed it, whatever.

Speaker 1:

And the next day in the morning I just see like he left sweatpants, I guess, like at the end of like my like it's, but it was by my door. So I was just like, oh, I'm just gonna leave that there. And then he hits me up and he's like, oh, we are we gonna go to the gym? And then I text and like, yeah, we should go to the gym. And I was like, all right, cool. So I text him because hours pass by and I'm just like he's still not here, like we were supposed to go. Maybe he's not gonna go. I should just go anyway. So I text him. I'm like, here, he's coming. He's like, yeah, I'm on my way, so he comes. And he comes upstairs and he's like I want to throw this banana peel out. I was like, okay, give me.

Speaker 1:

And then, like I go down to his car. I'm like next time, like don't come to my house if you're not invited. Like you can't just come up here. It's like very weird. So as I like go down the stairs, like to go to his car, I Like look to the right and I see an LAPD helicopter just looking straight down and I'm like what is going on right, like this is so weird. And and then I basically get in the car and we're on our way to the gym, but he was facing the other direction. I was like what way are you going? So then he's like frustrating. I was like, actually, I need to get water, I need to get water. So we end up going to 7-Eleven, I get essential waters and then we go to the gym.

Speaker 1:

So then I'm at the gym and and he's like what do you call it? Working out with me and he's being a little aggressive and I'm just like okay, this is a little weird, like you know. So I text my friend and I'm like you know, this guy's being a little aggressive. She's like okay, I think you should leave him. So then I get up and I'm like, alright, I'm leaving him. So then I text him like, hey, I'm gonna leave. And he's just like oh, you have my parking ticket because you have to Park your car, and like get a ticket whatever, ticket your car out. So then I Tell him like okay, come get it now.

Speaker 1:

And he comes outside and he's like are you hungry? I'm like no, I'm good. He's like let me drive you home. I was like no, I'm okay. He's like you want to get a jamba juice. And Then I was like alright, cool, like we'll get jamba juice, because jamba juice was right next to the gym that I was going to. So we grabbed jamba juice. And he's like let me drive you home. I was like no, no, no, it's fine, it's okay, I was just walking home because I wasn't far from the gym. He's like no, no, no, let me. Like, let me, let me, you know, drive you home. I was like no, I'm okay, let me drive you home. All right, fine.

Speaker 1:

So once I get into the parking lot this is where it all goes down there's a whole SWAT team that's pointing rifles at him and it's like Ma'am, step away from the man. I was just like what is going on here? Like what is going on here. So then I'm just like looking at him and I'm like what the fuck, who am I with? And Then the private investigator pulls me to the side and goes how do you know him? Like, are you a relative? Are your girlfriend? Like family? I'm like, honestly, I'm none of those three. I just met him here at the gym and yeah, and he's been like a little weird with me, so I don't know. So they were like okay, like I was like so who is he and what's going on? Do I need a lawyer? Like what is going on? And they're like no miss, like we're gonna take you home and we can't disclose any information, but what you can do is watch the news tomorrow. I was like what the fuck? Who the fuck am I with? So then I go home and I'm like I can't sleep. And then the next day comes and I go online and I saw that he was an LAPD and he was arrested for raping two women and they wanted to get on him. So I would not be the next victim.

Speaker 1:

So, ladies, please trust your intuition when you think things are off. This is a warning, take it. So, with that being said, yeah, I told you it was kind of like spooky and crazy and much of a thriller, and I don't think anybody can top the worst dates ever but me. So, yeah, so, always trust your intuition and be vigilant on who you're dating and actually like really getting to know them, and don't welcome people that quickly into your home. See, I was young at that time and I didn't know any better. Knowing now, I'm very guarded and very, very much on my peace and peace, which is what I'm with. So, with that being said, thank you for listening, thank you for joining me.
