Thank you, studio audience, and welcome back. Inertia is a property of matter.
SPEAKER_04Actually, you weren't watching that in elementary school? Is it on Disney Plus? I'm sure not.
SPEAKER_03It must be somewhere.
SPEAKER_01Isn't it KPBS?
SPEAKER_03No, it was on it was a Disney moment. It was like ABC. Yeah, Disney.
SPEAKER_01I thought it was KPBS. Hi, everybody.
SPEAKER_03Welcome back to What the Podcast. I'm Ryan.
SPEAKER_01And I'm John.
SPEAKER_03And together we are Ryan and John. In the Bluuth, as always. Lovely. Always. Lovely. The lovely. My wife. Cared DeFoya. Joining us this week. Always fresh, never frozen. Let's go. Let's go. Hey! Yo. And if you're watching this episode, that means that we've reenacted Operation Baby Protocol here at the pod. This episode was recorded at a prior date. It was not recorded this week because our baby is here.
SPEAKER_04Or is about to be here. Oh my gosh, it's so strange. Isn't that crazy? Or yeah, it was.
SPEAKER_03Or is about to be, or we're in the hospital. Some more.
SPEAKER_02Something like something.
SPEAKER_03We're not doing this podcast, I'll tell you that much. It's not happening at all.
SPEAKER_02Four of us are in the hospital.
SPEAKER_03Sure.
SPEAKER_02Well, because obviously John and I are delivering the baby.
SPEAKER_03Well, somebody has to. Somebody has to. Love me up.
SPEAKER_02Somebody has to go through the labor with me.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02Well, that's Ryan's gonna be fair because we'll have to do that. I want the glory. I want to catch her.
SPEAKER_03Oh, you want to catch her?
SPEAKER_02And then I want to hold her up.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_02Simba style. But only so far because she'll still be connected to the game.
SPEAKER_03And then I'll be there with like a mango. Cut it in half and go Simba. Is it a mango? I don't know. It's some kind of fruit.
SPEAKER_05It's some sort of fruit.
SPEAKER_04I don't know.
SPEAKER_05Or what fruit will be.
SPEAKER_04Next time I see line, does that line actually exist in the movie or the show? Everything the light touches. Yeah. Yeah. I always use that one, and I'm like, I kind of have like the what's that effect for you. You're worried about the Mandela effect. It's your kingdom.
SPEAKER_03And then he says, What about that shadowy area over there? And he goes, That's where the hyenas live. You can't go there.
SPEAKER_05You dare go there.
SPEAKER_03What did I just say, Simba? What did I just tell you, Simba? What is your problem? Remember when they remade that movie for no reason? They had a perfect cartoon and they were like, let's do cartoon animals.
SPEAKER_04I'm not saying we should. I'm just saying I have the Lion King Jr. script and the songs, and I've lit the entire show.
SPEAKER_01Let's do it. Rafiki puts the juice of a baobab fruit.
SPEAKER_03Well, yeah. Of course.
SPEAKER_01Also known as monkey bread fruit.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01Got it.
SPEAKER_03And but then he doesn't say Simba when he does that. He says that later when he's painting a picture of Simba. He goes, Simba.
SPEAKER_04It's called Monkey Bread or Monkey Tamarant. Who's Simba? Who's Simba?
SPEAKER_03In our production of Blancing?
SPEAKER_04All of our friend group, Red Cupers Friend Group.
SPEAKER_02If we're casting our shows.
SPEAKER_03I feel pretty strongly about playing Rafiki. I feel like I'd like to be a monkey. There's five.
SPEAKER_04There's five Rafikis.
SPEAKER_03Oh, what the heck?
SPEAKER_04It's an ensemble of Rafikis.
SPEAKER_01They do like the narrators. Simba ran across the pride line to meet Holly.
SPEAKER_04I've done enough of those junior versions. Who are the five Rafikis in Red Cup? Well, I feel like it's us, right?
SPEAKER_02No, you can't.
SPEAKER_04I don't have the original production. Well, let's tighten it up.
SPEAKER_03Let's give it to one star student.
SPEAKER_02Fine, and I'll read all the Rafikis. No, we'll have one Rafiki. Fine, fine.
SPEAKER_04Fine. One Rafiki.
SPEAKER_03Because if it's an ensemble, it's obviously the four of us. But who is it in the Red Covers? True. Um, it's probably Ryan. It's probably Ryan. I feel like I'd play an alright Rafiki. John, you would for sure play Mufasa. You're fatherly. Love. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you'd be okay, Mufasa.
SPEAKER_03Now this is crazy. I feel like Annie. It's the audience.
SPEAKER_04Everybody's like, please don't. I think uh okay, Tamone and Poomba. Let's who's that iconic duo? Is it gonna be I think Tyler, your brother, could play?
SPEAKER_03I feel like he'd play it pretty alright, Timon. Timone. And who is Pumba? Who do we cast with him?
SPEAKER_02Sean Condi.
SPEAKER_03Sean Condi. You know what? The two of them as an iconic duo.
SPEAKER_02I feel like Sean Scar. I feel like Sean Condi would be a great, and now don't let me take this from you. It would be a great Rafiki. Because Rafiki kind of makes no sense. Okay.
SPEAKER_04I'm willing to.
SPEAKER_02I think you two would be too much.
SPEAKER_04What if John? But then maybe you make who's who's Mufasa?
SPEAKER_03Well then what if I play the part of Scar, uh opposite of your Mufasa, and then we have that iconic moment where I throw you off the cliffs. But I feel like T-Pek would be a great scar. Okay. Oh, wow.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so I do think that you might be Mufasa. I do think that T-Pek is scar. I think maybe you and Tyler are Timon and Pumba.
SPEAKER_03I feel like That's good. That's pretty good. I feel like Michael Penning would make a great Simba. A leading man. A leading man. You're right. You're right. Yeah. You are so right. Which of course implies that cat pinning his lovely wife would be Nala. It's just falling into place. And then there's an old Simba and Nala. And of course, baby Simba is going to be played by Jack for sure. Yes. For sure. So that would this production before. And maybe not all is played by Lucy. Oh my god, she'll be here by the time of the screen. She's here. By the time of the show. And she's ready to act.
SPEAKER_02And she's ready. Her. And she's ready. She's been listening to her. Herself tape has been filmed.
SPEAKER_04Now, Zazu is a very important role that needs to be kept.
SPEAKER_02Wait, that could be T Pek too. Yeah, no.
SPEAKER_03I feel like Annie's got that for sure. Zazu.
SPEAKER_04Zazu has a very she's only in the first thing.
SPEAKER_03Well, they're the paragraph there.
SPEAKER_02I don't know what he is.
SPEAKER_04He's a hornbill. But um they're only in the first act. You know what a hornbill is?
SPEAKER_03You could be the hyena. Played by Whoopi Goldberg.
SPEAKER_04With quite some good job.
SPEAKER_03A crazy lineup. Whoopi Goldberg, um, Cheech Marin of Cheech and Chong, and then I think the third one, I don't know who it is, but he's somebody famous too. Crazy voice act. I don't know that one. We were just watching um God. Okay, the this is a a twofold thought here. Okay, I'd love to. Karen and I, the other day, just randomly were like, let's go to dinner. Let's go sit down at Dirty Birds and have some dinner. Nice. That's adorable. Right when we sat down, boom, trivia started. Trivia started. Trivia. We've had the trip. We've been to the Sunset Trivia at um Dirty Birds before.
SPEAKER_01The second we sat down, I was like, alright, everyone, get ready for trivia. It was perfect. We were like, we're in.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, for sure. We stayed the whole time. It was awesome.
SPEAKER_02One time Ryan and I got free shots.
SPEAKER_03We won the free shots. The toss-up question. I told Kara about it.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_03And then I was watching last night I watched a little bit of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Do you remember that show?
SPEAKER_02I've tried to get my dad on it because my dad rocked those questions. Last night it was celebrity question.
SPEAKER_03Now they're kind of just doing it for charity. Like Jimmy Kimmel's the host, and it's kind of like Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Fallon. No, Jimmy Kimmel. Jimmy Kimmel's the host. Yeah. It's not uh what's his name? Pat. If we're not headed into a recession, I don't know what's going on. Regis Philbin was the original.
SPEAKER_02The late night guys having to pick up side quests to pay their rent. I'm like, damn, it's rough out there. Yeah, Jimmy Fallon is on um King's.
SPEAKER_04What's crazy is like you don't even have to be they don't need a funny guy to do that show. No? No. So why why be why cast a funny guy? See, well he's not a few.
SPEAKER_03There was a girl who's it was uh Meredith Vieira. Yes. And before that was Regis Filbin, and then I think that was it. That's all I remember.
SPEAKER_04I would rather have an AI cat uh version of Reg Regis Filbin host that show thanks to the card. You think so?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Maybe not AI. I'd like an animatronic. I like that. No, I need a robot. I need a blinking at Regis. That's where he stands out. It really did feel like like Jimmy Kimmel was like trying to pay off gambling debt or something. The way he was like delivering, he was like, Well, you answered D, and that was correct. Like he was just like really phoning it in. Yeah. All that to say is, how do you guys do in trivia situations? I'm not very good.
SPEAKER_02Now I I'm I know a little bit about a lot.
SPEAKER_03That's all you need to know.
SPEAKER_04And that's pretty good at that.
SPEAKER_02I feel like I know a lot about a little bit.
SPEAKER_04All the time. That is true. And it's it's correct.
SPEAKER_02What were we saying a second ago, uh, not about the countertrap, but there was something in the first episode we recorded today. Oh, the what pennies are made out of now.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Zinc and aluminum or something.
SPEAKER_04You said it was tinted zinc, which is a very specific answer, and it's probably right.
SPEAKER_01How do you know it? Ryan doesn't believe me. And I have to look it up. He didn't believe me that uh the the white spots that you get after like a weird tan is a bacteria on your skin.
SPEAKER_03And I never heard the end of that. Was that true or was that false? Did you ever look that up?
SPEAKER_01I never looked it up. Okay. But I know it's true. Let's get to the bottom of that. I've never seen it. After you tan and you never peel, and then somehow there's white, weird white spots all over you. That might be a you thing. It's a weird, like, from the sun bacteria fungus thing.
SPEAKER_02I have had sun poisoning.
SPEAKER_03You have had sun poisoning. Annie, you're kind of like me. I think that's why we did trivia so well that one time.
SPEAKER_01We just know a little bit about a lot. And I actually have a fungal yeast overgrowth called Tinia versicolor.
SPEAKER_03Honey.
SPEAKER_01Your yeast.
SPEAKER_03You're talking about your yeast.
SPEAKER_02You on the internet talk about it.
SPEAKER_01Tinia versa color is a fungal skin infection caused by an overgrowth of yeast. I'm not seeing it on you.
SPEAKER_03I'm not seeing it on you, to be honest. Let me say the yeast.
SPEAKER_02See you don't be having a lot of it.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I guess you kind of do right there.
SPEAKER_02I guess. Okay, I see it. I could see the yeast.
SPEAKER_03Okay, you are kind of yeasty as well.
SPEAKER_01You put like salicylic acid.
SPEAKER_02Like stuff to like, I'm seeing the yeast.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. She's got the yeast. Yeah, I got it. I told you. Well, there you go. She's yeasty as hell. I saw it on TikTok a couple years ago of a girl being like, Hey, so I got really tan over the summer, and now suddenly I have white spots all over me. And what's wrong? And then I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_02See, my white spots were because I got sun poison. And it was my body was rejecting vitamin D, and I got like blisters. But they didn't hurt. But it was my body, my skin had had way too much vitamin D. Pushing it out, so it became like water blister.
SPEAKER_04I just need to write a book regarding her skin condition.
SPEAKER_01When specifically tropical plants, Monstera's when they have too much water, they'll sometimes expel it through their leaves. So sometimes on the end of Monstera leaves, you'll see little water droplets. I do that too, sometimes. I do that when I pee.
SPEAKER_03Me when I pee. Me when I'm peeing.
SPEAKER_02See, I know a lot about a little stuff. You do. You do know a lot about it, though. Like you know a lot about planting.
SPEAKER_04I think you know more than you let on. That's kind of one of my goals in the next couple of years is to keep a plant alive.
SPEAKER_03All these plants look great.
SPEAKER_02Thank you.
SPEAKER_03I was listening to somebody on TikTok that was a former Jeopardy contestant.
SPEAKER_02And it was at Jeopardy Ruin My Life.
SPEAKER_03And he said, They freaking they cage you. They don't let you go home when you're on Jeopardy.
SPEAKER_01You cut cage. Every time you win, you're stuck in the hotel. They leave you there. They leave you in the room. They cut your cable. They cut your cable. They cut your cable.
SPEAKER_03They take the ball. It's like Big Brother, but Jeopardy. No, they um he said the best strategy is to not really know because they the way they make the questions is like they kind of give you the answer in the question. Or like they're giving you like every opportunity to kind of know the answer. So if you like kind of generally know like phrases around, like let's say if the question was about Edgar Allan Poe, they'll be like, oh, this Ravenus poet was what. And if you know, like, oh, he wrote Raven, like it's Edgar Allan Poe, like you have a good chance of getting the question right. So knowing a little about a lot is a good way to be.
SPEAKER_01The best trivia question that happened was Ryan's Theater Nerd came out.
SPEAKER_03Well, yeah, you're talking about they were like, Who wrote Common Sense? And I was like, Oh, yeah, what's 17th?
SPEAKER_01And also famously wrote the Reynolds pamphlet.
SPEAKER_03No, it was some other pamphlet, but I was like, oh yeah, it was Thomas Paine.
SPEAKER_01Thomas Payne.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's so amazing. I'm like, it's in Hamilton. Hamilton, it's in Hamilton. What do you mean? I knew it from Hamilton, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I'm reading Common Sense by Thomas Paine.
SPEAKER_03Whoa. Know a little about a lot. That's all you gotta do.
SPEAKER_02That's so funny.
SPEAKER_01And that's probably why they put it in, because it's more commonly known. When we would get things right, that were like one of them was it was astrology. And one of them was what are the two like American astrology signs for late Jul late July, early August. Yeah. And we were like, oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_03It was really tough.
SPEAKER_01Well, we know that it's Virgo because that's like late that's August.
SPEAKER_03No, it was like late June, early July. Signs. It was like what are the signs that happen in July?
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, it was late, late June, early July.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And I knew that late June was cancer. Cancer. Because Cooper missed the cutoff for Gemini by one day. And he's a cancer when the rest of us are Geminis in June. And then it was the other one that we were like, oh my gosh, what is the beginning? What is what is July? Like, what's the end of July? What is it was Leo? And we got it right. Yes.
SPEAKER_03John, what would your category be? If if they were like, we're gonna ask a really hard trivia question. Yes, I know you know a lot about a little.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_02I mean I know a lot about it.
SPEAKER_03But you're right.
SPEAKER_02You could answer a lot of questions about it.
SPEAKER_04I would yeah, I mean, I think Ryan could probably answer more questions about AV equipment.
SPEAKER_03I don't know about more. Maybe the same amount. We could probably answer. There's only so much knowledge you can know about AV equipment. Fine, but but baseball, but Padres, John's got me beat for sure.
SPEAKER_01Apple products.
SPEAKER_03I don't know.
SPEAKER_04I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Not if you get into the nitty-gritty of them.
SPEAKER_03Speaking of the Padres, Jay Croningworth scores at the top of the third.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_03Two to nothing.
SPEAKER_02How does it go, boys? Okay. Ten dollars to whoever can figure out what day we recorded this now.
SPEAKER_03Jay Croningworth scored at the top of the third inning. The score is two to nothing.
SPEAKER_04Ten dollars to anybody that figures it out. Is that what you said?
SPEAKER_02Who's not sitting in this room?
SPEAKER_04Okay, deal. Deal. I'm just saying, what if what if this episode just pops off and like fifty people?
SPEAKER_03Huge following.
SPEAKER_02The first person. Okay, there you go. Clean it up. Have you seen those videos where it's like follow instructions exactly how they're written? Yes. And they're like how to make how to make a um P B and J. And they're like, get out the peanut butter. Okay, put the peanut butter on the bread.
SPEAKER_01It's a great British show. That's all they get is a piece of paper.
SPEAKER_02No, but there people are like, oh, you need to say open the jar.
SPEAKER_03There's a thing that they do, like teachers do it for elementary school kids. And it's like how teaching them how to write out directions.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yes, yes. We had to do that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Take out the piece of bread. Like they all write how to make a sandwich.
SPEAKER_01My mom has one of mine. And it's how to make a pizza. And it's literally, I have a picture of it on my phone. It's a bit of like Kara's way of making pizza.
SPEAKER_03And it's like roll out the dough, put on the sauce. But then the teacher will stand up in front of everybody and do it. Like step one, get out the bread. She's like, okay, here's the bread. Like she'll follow it exactly. It's so funny. And she'll go, step two, put the peanut butter on the bread. She takes the jar and puts it on the bread.
SPEAKER_02On the container that's not open. Yeah, exactly. It's like open the bag. Take the piece of bread out. Take two pieces of bread out. Put them on, like lay them inside. Yeah. That's funny. Well, that's all that's all as far as I've gotten. I've never done it. Now you have a sandwich.
SPEAKER_01Well, what's funny is Great British Baking Show does that, and they leave out the like what temperature to put things on in the what amounts.
SPEAKER_03What amounts they had kind of just had a wing it.
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh. I would not do well on that show. I would be BO. I would my point on that show would be to just be memorable. I would just start doing crazy things.
SPEAKER_03My best person comes from fudging up the recipe a little bit.
SPEAKER_00Really?
SPEAKER_03Carrying it up a little bit.
SPEAKER_02Best person to ever be on Great British Baking Show is James A. Castor to this day. I know who that is a comedian. He's a British comedian, and at one point they come up and they're like, So what happened? He goes, made my flap track, had a breakdown bone appetite.
SPEAKER_05There he is.
SPEAKER_02Oh, he's been on, he's been on Taskmaster. He's hilarious.
SPEAKER_01He also watched a full episode until the last season that was on.
SPEAKER_02They have like it's like a bunch of comedians on. It's hilarious.
SPEAKER_03I think I saw that one actually. Yeah, I just love it.
SPEAKER_02And I say that all the time. Like made my flop trap how to break it down.
SPEAKER_03I think you could do alright, John. In a baking situation.
SPEAKER_02You for sure could. You can okay, Kathy. You've had a lot of lore. A lot of layers.
SPEAKER_04That's why I'm trying I'm trying to erase some of my lore. That's why I'm going to go to the next one. Wait, you want to erase your lore? I need to narrow. I need to narrow my interest vibe.
SPEAKER_02You can't erase your interview. You can't erase your lore.
SPEAKER_04I can't erase the lore, but I can cut down on some of that.
SPEAKER_02John, whenever you write a memoir, can I please write the foreword? And I'm going to write my first interpretation of it.
SPEAKER_04No, no, you cannot.
SPEAKER_02Because I think that would be a great, I think that would be a great entrance to then. I don't want that.
SPEAKER_03I don't want that.
SPEAKER_02It would be a great opening. People would throw that great opening to then they have to read the book. They're like, who the hell does it? They give it to a bunch of black widows.
SPEAKER_03Just give me the first few lines of your foreword. No. Come on.
SPEAKER_02This man sat down to flirt with my friend. Oh my god. Was too scared to look at her. So he just stared at me.
SPEAKER_04You know, it's one of those things that a story gets better with time. Like you know what I'm saying? Like the story.
SPEAKER_03Does Annie's story get worse with time?
SPEAKER_04No, like it just becomes more like it's a little bit. Yes. Oh, yeah. The details sharpened crazy. I mean, it makes a great story.
SPEAKER_03It's a great story.
SPEAKER_04My favorite is when I was. It's my least favorite story. But go ahead.
SPEAKER_02Mm-hmm. I'm not gonna tell the story. Yeah, thank you. You already started.
SPEAKER_03No, I won't.
SPEAKER_02And I'm gonna leave it there. You have to read the my foreword of his book. Got it. Um, but the first time I It'll be on your Tumblr page too. I told Jordan when I had coffee with her, like the first time we really hung out as friends, before I like when I had I was like, Oh, so you're so you're you're dating John Albright. She's like, Oh, you've met him? And I was like, Yeah. And I told her about our first meeting, and she and then I was going with John to go pick up the engagement bouquet for Jordan. And John goes, and I've never hung out one-on-one with John, and I don't even know how that that really happened. And he goes, Oh, Jordan said that. You have like a crazy story of meeting me for the first time, and then I should ask you about it. And I was like, That snake.
SPEAKER_05I can't really tell this guy I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, huh yeah, I don't like you.
SPEAKER_03Literally.
SPEAKER_02It's like, yeah, you you came up as a bad person.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god. Yep.
SPEAKER_02That's hey, and then I got to know you, and I figured that that's not all that's not the whole story.
SPEAKER_03So you're gonna put that in the forward? What about all the other times?
SPEAKER_02They're gonna have to read the rest of the book. All right, the forward's gonna be creating the most impressive. About my life. Okay, guys, actually I've I started reading thank you. I'm glad you brought that up. Thank you. I started reading a book, an Emily Henry book, that is about you, thank you actually. Um I started reading an e-book, but it is a real book. You can buy the hard whatever, that doesn't matter. It's about auto like bio about biographers who are bidding to try to like get the book rights to this one woman's story. Okay. So they're like each trying to compete, and of course they're gonna fall in love. They're trying to compete if trying to like win her over so that they could be the one to write her autobiography.
SPEAKER_03Got it, okay.
unknownSure.
SPEAKER_02And then I was thinking, I was like, is there anyone in life that I would give like six months of my life up for to like sit with them and like get their whole life story and write their autobiography? Oh, I'm I'm five in.
SPEAKER_01What's the book called? I literally I'm pretty sure it's called um a great big beautiful world, great. Yeah, something like that. Yeah, something like that.
SPEAKER_02Big big beautiful great world.
SPEAKER_04Big I'm already raised, OB.
SPEAKER_03That's a good book.
SPEAKER_02Actually, that's on my night scene. I've been reading that too.
SPEAKER_03That's a tough one. That's a page turner.
SPEAKER_02I finished it in an hour.
SPEAKER_03Would I now are you asking me if I would want to write somebody's book or if somebody would write my book?
SPEAKER_02Is if there is anyone in the world that is interesting enough to you that you would interview them and write their autobiography for the show.
SPEAKER_03Absolutely. Who? Paul McCartney.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that'd be too interesting.
SPEAKER_03Every time I hear a new Beatles story, I fall back in love with Beatles. I love the Beatles. I love Paul McCartney. He was just doing uh he just came out with a new album recently. Crazy. Man's like eighty years old or whatever. Crazy. And he was he's been doing all this press for it, and he was talking about how he didn't know The B7 cord. He's like, Yeah, me and none of my friends knew this cord. So, but we knew that this guy across the river knew the cord. They were like, Oh, yeah, Steve knows the cord. So they all packed a lunch, they gone on the river boat, they like on the ferry, took the ferry across the way, walked to this dude's house so that he could show them the cord. I thought that was the funniest thing ever. Like, and they were like, Yeah, and so now we have the cord. Like, it was like this journey they went on to like be able to write music. I'm like, you just don't have that anymore with the internet. You could just Google it, but like it's not even like they could call it, they didn't even have phones or anything, they didn't know his number. So they're like, but we know kind of where he lives, so we'll go just find him and he'll show us the cord.
SPEAKER_02Isn't that crazy? That is so crazy. Back in the day of like, I'm just gonna like try to go find him. You knock on doors and it's like, hi, I'm looking for so-and-so. Oh yeah, they live four doors down. If anyone came knocking on my door and is like, oh, I'm looking for Ryan and Kara, I'm like, I'm not F telling you where the hell they live.
SPEAKER_01Or hitting it or you'd have freak. If it was someone looking for one of your neighbors, you'd be like, Who? Yeah, that's true. Please, please, he knows B7. I don't know that. He knows B7, I gotta know. I can tell you B7. So good.
SPEAKER_03Palmicart name probably. Okay, Palmegartn is a good one. I'd love to spend six months with him and write his book. That's a great question.
SPEAKER_02Carrot's coming to you. Start thinking, uh dead or live?
SPEAKER_04Or do they have to be live?
SPEAKER_02Um I would say live. I'd say live. I was sitting there.
SPEAKER_01I mean, she already has one out, but Julie Andrews. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Did you see the picture that came out of the show they're making about her? Yeah. The like airbrushed to high heaven. So rough. They've like airbrushed the crap out of her.
SPEAKER_01One of those specials of like, this person's old and they're gonna die, so let's make a special about them.
SPEAKER_03That was John's idea, by the way. Deathbed podcast.
unknownGod.
SPEAKER_02Um Julie Andrews, I thought for sure you would say Taylor Swift.
SPEAKER_03Not as interesting. Not as story. You know? True. Like, true. All of her shit is out.
SPEAKER_01Like Julie Andrews, it's like, yeah, she's had interviews with Poppins and all this stuff. But like her childhood, too, of like being on Broadway and like that kind of stuff. That isn't really out.
SPEAKER_03She has a big book, doesn't she?
SPEAKER_01She does have or she has one coming, maybe? I'd like to read that book if it's out.
SPEAKER_02John.
SPEAKER_04Um mine is kind of on the nose. I think I would do John Foreman.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, love.
SPEAKER_04I think it'd be cool.
SPEAKER_03I think he's got a cooler story than Jonathan. Good guy. I think so too. What's fascinating to me is how much they've uh they jumped in on tour with the Jonas brothers. Yeah. And the Jonas brothers talk extensively about how they wouldn't be a band without Switchfoot. Yeah. They're like Switchfoot, the beautiful letdown, formed us.
SPEAKER_01That's probably all their dad kind of let them listen to Christian rock.
SPEAKER_03It totally makes sense.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it's crazy because yeah, it was pretty wild. Like just the kind of interconnectedness of that too. Cause one of my favorite authors, Bob Goff, talks about like going to a retreat, marriage retreat with um the the foreman's parents. Yeah. So he's like, oh yeah, and then he told me that he had two sons named John and Tim. And I was like, What? I know them. So interesting.
SPEAKER_03Do yourself a favor and don't um Google anyone that you like that's really old because they do this thing now where it's like Julie Andrews, 90 years old, breaking news. She talked online to Instagram.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, she has a new show.
SPEAKER_03Celebrates 90 years. Yeah. I'm like, they they want to be the headline that's like breaking news. Julie Andrews passed away.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. How old is Danny DeVito?
SPEAKER_03Danny DeVito's gotta be 80 something.
SPEAKER_01Right? I don't know. He's old too.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he's old.
SPEAKER_01I mean he's old.
SPEAKER_03She's 90. Oh my gosh. Julie Andrew's 90.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_03I think all of those old school Hollywood people I would think are interesting. They're fascinating. He's 81. Okay. So he's nine years younger at the Junior Andrew's.
SPEAKER_04That's a lot of kids.
SPEAKER_02Little Nicky and uh uh Benny Blanco have like this kind of talk show esque thing where they're like in a house, yeah, and they're just hanging out and talking. Kenny G one? Yeah, no, no, um not Wiz Khalifa. No, no, no. Little Wayne comes on and he's talking. First of all, he's done so many drugs that it's like he's so zoned out. And like little Dickie's wife and I, I'm sorry, I don't know her name, asked him a question of like Mrs.
SPEAKER_03Dicky.
SPEAKER_02But like about like his life, and she's like, Would you want to do anything else for like a career? She asked him something about a career, and he's like no, like I've been doing this since I was eight. And she's like, Yeah, like, but would you want like have you ever thought of doing anything? And she's like, No, it's like not even a career, it's like my life, like I've been doing this since I was eight. She's like, So he's broken, yeah. No, like, and she she it's like he cannot like comprehend what she's asking him. Yeah, and she and then he's like talking down to her of like, no, like okay, so like when I was like seven and eight, and she goes, Okay, yeah. She just like gives up to you.
SPEAKER_01So out of touch Bella Thorne.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_01So Bella Thorne, shake it up, yeah. Of Disney Channel, of course. Oh, shake it up. You're talking about opposite Zendaya. She went from Disney Channel to like OnlyFans. She was doing OnlyFans for a long time. She was doing OnlyFans. She is a veterinarian. Oh, good for her.
SPEAKER_03That's like that other girl that was on NASA. Yeah, Bridget Minler.
SPEAKER_02I was gonna say Harper from Wizard of Waverly Plays. Well she did. Harper. She's a nurse. You know, now she's going, she's on the reboot. They brought her back for the reboot. The finale happened.
SPEAKER_01Oh the series finale happened.
SPEAKER_03The wizards again.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like magical. The whole thing was like she's a she's a full-time nurse, that she's gonna come back. She came back for like the last episode. Uh-huh. And then the dad in that show posted on Instagram saying the show might have lasted longer if they asked all of us original cast back.
SPEAKER_03Okay, wait, they have a podcast, don't they? The girl that's Harper and the Dad. And the dad.
SPEAKER_01And they're they were like ripping on the first season of that reboot because they were like, of course. The dad still didn't get asked back.
SPEAKER_03I think those that's so sad. All those podcasts of the people that are like, our show was so good.
SPEAKER_01Campsible girl. Do you remember you remember what it was?
SPEAKER_03Camp Possible Girl.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. You remember the character Mason? He was the werewolf. Yeah, it was like the big love story. Yes. In this season finale, they brought him back.
SPEAKER_04He had a couple of puppies.
SPEAKER_01No, he like he comes back and it's like she Alex did like a spell or something. Or whatever. Brings him back and he asks her, like, hey, like, why haven't I been able to like propose to you? And he's dead.
SPEAKER_05Uh yeah, he's dead.
SPEAKER_01Wait, the guy is dead in real life? No, the character is dead. Oh, it's like a it's like a she brought back his ghost.
SPEAKER_03Well, I guess I don't have to watch the show now. Spoilers.
SPEAKER_01Well that, yeah, we're not.
SPEAKER_03Spoilers, spoilers for the wizards of Waverly Place reboot.
SPEAKER_01But I saw that clip and it was him being like, wait, why why aren't we like together? Why why haven't I proposed to you yet? Did he die in the show? No, he like he almost died because he gets bit by Ridger Mendler. Yes, he gets bit.
SPEAKER_03Like a sixth sense thing.
SPEAKER_01He's a vampire. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03You guys got a twilight show. Was it a Waverly Place? Do you? Yeah, it was a good show.
SPEAKER_01David Henry.
SPEAKER_03I watched it. I I didn't really be.
SPEAKER_01David Henry and his wife have a podcast.
SPEAKER_02They're super Catholic. No, no, the most important thing.
SPEAKER_03They just wrote a book and they were Bible too?
SPEAKER_02No, they were having insane fertility issues, and he met the Pope and had the Pope pray for them, and that year they got pregnant.
unknownWhoa.
SPEAKER_01The Pope is magic.
SPEAKER_02Pope is magic.
SPEAKER_04Um, the most obnoxious, like we had a we had a TV show as kids podcast is the um Ned's Declassified podcast. I thought that was silly. Yes, they fully got cancelled.
SPEAKER_01Is God Bigger Than a Dragon? The name of the book. Crazy.
SPEAKER_03Hey, whoa.
SPEAKER_01First children's book.
SPEAKER_03Um I thought when that show started, I thought it was so cool and to for them to be like talking about the show. But then it became so like, yeah, Nickelodeon, like, we're still here. We're here for the reboot. It's like just kind of sad at that point.
SPEAKER_02I feel like she basically only talked about how she's like, Yeah, and I got really into drugs.
SPEAKER_03She's like, Yeah, oh, and me and Ned hooked up. We hooked up. We were having sex.
SPEAKER_04At one time they were literally talking about them hooking up. I'm like, that's not in real life.
SPEAKER_03I'm like, oh, that's not really what we wanna do. Life with Darek.
SPEAKER_02Life with Darek.
SPEAKER_03You wanna talk about a horny show?
SPEAKER_02Um Life with Derek.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's a new button. I haven't pressed before. No, what was that? Yeah! Who knows, guys? Um, look, we gotta get back to uh watching our baby, obviously.
