--> 00:07:33.199 And Peter knows it's coming to the end. 00:07:33.439 --> 00:07:39.120 And he knows that he must say the things that are most important under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. 00:07:39.360 --> 00:07:44.639 He's talking to an audience of people that are going through hard times, as you'll see in the first epistle to Peter. 00:07:44.959 --> 00:07:50.800 He's facing these early Christians who are going through persecution for their faith. 00:07:51.439 --> 00:07:56.879 So we ought not to be so terribly surprised if we get persecuted. 00:07:59.519 --> 00:08:02.240 Most Just because they were Christians, people were treating them ill. 00:08:48.320 --> 00:08:52.559 And the second thing that Peter addresses in this letter is false teaching. 00:08:52.799 -->
