The Voice of Homophobia
Today is International Day against homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia.
It originated in Quebec in 2003 with the Emergence Foundation.
The date of May 17 was specifically chosen to commemorate the World Health Organization’s decision on May 17, 1990, to declassify homosexuality as a mental disorder.
Today is a day to raise awareness of LGBT rights violations and to stimulate interest in sexual and gender diversity.
It’s true that human nature is rather intolerant of people’s differences, and I hope we’ll lean towards more and more respect and inclusion down the road.
The world is falling apart everywhere, so let’s try to love one another and to not do unto us what we don’t want others do unto us.

The Voice of Progress
I’m getting there slowly but surely.
The third chapter of my book is almost finished. I should start the fourth one tomorrow.
Not easy to write as a single parent and a businesswoman.
Both sides of me require my constant time, energy, and devotion.
It’s Ok. I’ll make it.
These last couple of weeks, I’ve been proactive on social media. After the one-minute videos in French, I’m now launching the one-minute ones in English.
I want to help people speak better in their second language and English is one of the languages that people want to learn worldwide.
Besides, I have been receiving many phone calls lately from international students wanting to improve their English-speaking skills. That’s why it’s so important that I start posting videos in English.
Good news. Next week, we’ll start our first Spanish class for retirees. I’m super excited! I can’t wait to have more people register so that we can increase the number of people we help.
The French online course is making progress as well. I hope it will be available in June so that we can get feedback from students and see what they think of it.
