The Voice of Iran
Last Sunday, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi died in a helicopter crash.
The weather conditions were poor with rain and thick fog.
Nine people perished in the crash.
The Iranian President was seen as a potential successor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Presidential elections will be held June 28th to elect a new president.
In the meantime, the First Vice President, Mohammad Mokhber, will take over as interim president.
The Voice of Turbulences
On Tuesday, the London-Singapore flight of the Singapore Airlines hit severe turbulences causing the death of a 73-year-old (seventy-three) British man (who had a heart attack) and seriously injuring others including 20 people who now are in intensive care.
The plane suddenly dropped 6,000 (six thousand) feet and people who were not wearing their seatbelts were launched to the ceiling and suffered severe skull, brain, and spinal injuries.
The plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Bangkok, Thailand.
What a shock it must have been for the passengers!
I can’t dare imagine.
It shows how important it is to keep wearing your seatbelt throughout flights.
It seems that the plane fell into clear air turbulences which are invisible, unpredictable, and dangerous.
Pilots have no way of detecting them, and even the most technology-advanced radars can’t either.
Unfortunately, turbulences are becoming more and more frequent due to global warming.
What else does it have in store for us?
Let’s not remain idle and let’s wear our seatbelts the entire flight, shall we?
