Sometimes life doesn’t tap you—it hits you.

And in the moment, it feels like opposition… like inconvenience… like disrespect… like a setback.

But what if that pressure isn’t trying to break you—what if it’s trying to unlock you?

In this raw Bonus Track, Treveal shares a real-time conversation with CJ sparked by sports moments that mirrored real life: when the pressure got heavy, it forced a higher level to come out.

A tough opponent, a critical moment, a public narrative, a painful challenge—none of it feels good… but it can become the very thing that activates the potential that was already inside you.

Treveal breaks down a mindset shift that changes everything: Instead of asking, “Why is this happening to me?” start asking, “How is this working for me?”

Because some adversity doesn’t show up to ruin you… it shows up to pull more out of you—more focus, more grit, more maturity, more intensity, more resilience, more evolution. And when you stop treating resistance like punishment, you start treating it like training.

What You’ll Hear In This Bonus Track

  • Why challenges can act like an activator, not an attacker
  • How pressure can force you to “go in your bag” and access a level you weren’t using
  • The truth about opponents, criticism, and resistance: they can become your fuel
  • Why your default reaction (anger, quitting, shrinking back) blocks growth
  • How to reframe injury, criticism, and setbacks through perseverance and purpose
  • A powerful takeaway: the potential was already there—adversity just called it forward

Key Takeaways

  • The level is already in you. The challenge simply reveals it.
  • Resistance can be a mirror: it shows you what still needs to rise.
  • If your mind labels adversity as “against me,” you stop learning from it.
  • A better question creates a better outcome: “How is this working for me?”
  • Sometimes the pressure isn’t the problem—it’s the pathway.

Hey, what's going on guys? Welcome to a very special bonus track edition of the I Am The Possible podcast, Experience The Place Where Possibilities Continue To Become Perspective. I say that this is a very special bonus track because it was not planned and I really felt like I should share it. ⁓ Someone out there ⁓ may need to hear it and may need to

Received this information and it really came from a book that I'm currently reading, The Art of Creating ⁓ by one of my favorite authors, Joseph Nguyen, The Art of Creating. But he talks about in the book, when you have a spark of inspiration to move out on it, to not shelve it, not put it to the side, but take action on it, right? In the moment of inspiration to take action. So I'm recording this bonus track. It's a...

audio only version. So there is no YouTube version for this one. It's only on the audio platforms that we have. But I wanted to share a voice memo conversation that I had with my main man, my brother from another CJ. You've heard him on here before. We've had some episodes that we've released before together. But this morning I was out on a walk and I was inspired by something that I had watched.

few days ago and I shared it with him and then he responded and he shared some insight that he had and I just thought it was really a dope conversation and it really opens up to or it really opens you up to the idea that inspiration is abundant. It's everywhere. I call it like these life lessons. These life lessons, they're everywhere. If we pay attention, all right, a little play on words. If you pay attention, like the revelations of

of God, they come at a cost, they come at a price. And the price is your attention, right? Because that's the one thing that everything is pulling at, right? All of the distractions of life is pulling for your attention. And many times we're just caught up and we're just distracted and we're caught up in our daily routine, seeing the same things, experiencing the same things, feeling the same things, just going through the motions, right? Just going through those...

cycles of life. But I find that when I go out on a walk, right, that's what works for me. When I go out on a walk and I practice this non-thinking, right, I don't go out to try and, you know, say the same prayers to God or to, you know, follow the same routine. But I just go out and I just clear my mind and I just allow life to speak, nature to speak, God to speak. And I find that that works for me. That's where I can be inspired because I'm, in a sense,

paying attention, I'm paying the price of the observation of life. What is life saying? What is God showing me? What's being presented to me without me trying to filter it and without me trying to force it to mean whatever I want it to mean or think it should mean? This was a practice that was taught to me years ago by my mentor. Shout out to Kenichi Yoshida. He taught me this practice, man, of allowing the

dignity of life, the dignity of the individual thing that I'm observing to speak to me and to reveal itself to me. All right. And so I was out there doing that. And then I had a revelation. I shared it with CJ. CJ heard it. He was inspired. He kicked back some information. And I just wanted to share our conversation. It was a quick conversation. I think it's like maybe nine or so minutes ⁓ between the both of us. But

I thought it was some nuggets in there that you can pull from. And if nothing else, I want you to understand and really my intention in sharing this raw footage, right? This is just raw footage, just off the cuff in the morning, ⁓ us two brothers just sharing ⁓ insight that we had from real life experiences. ⁓ My intention in this is to number one, show you that inspiration is in abundance. It's everywhere.

Okay, there is no shortage of a inspiring idea and those ideas can be leveraged to change your life because it will change your perceptions, your perspectives on life. And those are the two things that really, really, really influence and impact how we go about life. ⁓ And so wanted to definitely have that intention. And then the other intention is to inspire the up and coming whatever, right? Maybe you're...

you're someone who wants to start a podcast. Maybe you're someone who wants to start a business, start a ministry, start this, start that. And you're like, yo, I don't have this. I don't have that. Well, listen, all CJ and I had this morning was a voice memo. We just spoke into the, what is it called on your phone, the text message app, right? We just text message, but we did the voice version and we just sent each other a voice message.

And then we took that voice message and we converted it to a ⁓ voice memo, right? That's a native app in your iPhone. And then we converted that and put that into a file in the podcasting ⁓ software that I utilized to create this platform. And ⁓ shout out to Riverside, by the way, that's a Riverside FM. That's what I utilize.

So I kicked it to Riverside and now I'm about to share what we talked about this morning. So do you have what you need? Yes. You have an idea, you have inspiration, you have a desire to do it. The technology is available. Whoever you are, whatever you're into doing, whatever you desire to do, whatever you desire to launch out on, I promise you the technology is available and it's not very expensive. So let's stop waiting.

procrastinating, hesitating, and anything else that's stopping you from moving forward. It is available. It is available. All right. So want it to also just be an encouragement and a inspiration to any up and coming anything. All right. Start with what you have. Get it out there. Launch. Take the first step. Push the first domino down. Let the domino effect take effect in your life. All right. Just get going. That will build momentum.

All right. Motion creates motion. Just do the first thing and let life and let God lead you the rest of the way. All right. That's enough. Let me go ahead and kick it to this very special bonus track episode. Just lean into what I share with CJ, what CJ shares with me, and then we're going leave it at that. All right. Hope and pray that you guys receive this message and that you get something out of it.

Hey bro, good morning. Hey, I was out for my morning walk. And, ⁓ this is normally when a lot of, ⁓ inspiration comes to me, concepts, ideas for content or for whatever, ⁓ it's sort of my creative space where God drops and downloads, ⁓ you know, different revelations and ideas. And one just came to heart that I wanted to share with you that aligns with

what we were talking about for the podcast. ⁓ So just wanted to share it just as a way of ⁓ just expressing kind of again, the potential that we have to leverage things that are just already out there, especially things that tap into men. So I was watching the Knicks game the other day when they blew out the Hawks, right? Remember when I, sent you those pictures and stuff. ⁓ So the game, you know,

That was what it was. But what stood out was the post game interview with Coach Mike Brown. He was the coach for the Knicks. And if you recall, the Knicks lost games, I think it was three and four. No, four and five by like one point. But when they were interviewing Mike Brown, Mike Brown said something very interesting. He said, and I'm just paraphrasing. He said, basically the Hawks.

made us go in our bag. Like by them beating us the way that they did, like we know that we're better than that. And really this series shouldn't have even gone, you know, six games. But the fact that they beat us, the fact that it got to six games, it made us in a sense step our game up. It made us go within. And so that was the result, right? That crazy, crazy blowout.

locked down defense last two games and they win the series. My point is from that interview, that statement, basically in essence, he was basically saying because the Hawks did what they did, it forced us to tap into the potential that we already had. And I was thinking to myself like, wow, sometimes we have challenges in life and we choose to get upset about them. Like I just recently had a challenge on my job.

And my default perspective was this dude is off the hook. ⁓ you know, he's getting on my nerves. This is crazy. ⁓ blah, blah, blah. But when I looked at it a little further, once I calmed down, I was like, okay, how is this working for me and not against me? So as it relates to Mike Brown's comments, I was like, yo, that's interesting. Sometimes in life when we have these challenges, our first, our first thought is

This is coming against me, defeating me, challenging me, upsetting me. But really, if it wasn't for the challenge, right? If it wasn't for the Hawks being that antagonist, right? If they weren't talking trash and strutting their stuff and, you know, beating New York and, you know, pretty much embarrassing them because we all know that the Hawks are not on New York's level. ⁓ Had they not done that.

The Knicks never would have tapped into the level of defense and level of intensity that they were already capable of. That's the key. They were already capable. They were already capable of playing at that level. Lockdown defense, intensity, take it to the rim, right? They even changed up how Kat was being played, right? He became that point forward. That was already there, available, possible, but they weren't playing like it.

because of whatever reasons, maybe they were taking the Hawks too easy, ⁓ know, whatever it was, but they weren't tapping into their highest potential. It was there, it was within them, but they weren't activating it, utilizing it until they were faced with a challenge. And it's like, so it is in life, man. We can use our challenges to look at them as a way to activate the highest potential within us.

that not only gives us a growth mindset, but it allows us to see a level of ourselves that we otherwise would have never seen had we not given the challenge this kind of perspective. Because when you say, oh, this is coming to upset me, this is here just to, you know, complicate things, then your mind goes down that rabbit hole and there is no growth. There is no development. You don't get to see the next level of potential.

So I just thought that that was super interesting and that was something that we could definitely utilize as a topic and just using Mike Brown's interview as a jump off point and then just kind of reflecting within ourselves how we can utilize the challenges in life to really tap into the greatest level of our potential ⁓ rather than just letting it be something that upsets us and ⁓ torments us. So hope.

that all made sense brother. But yeah, man, just wanted to share that with you. Like I said, ⁓ just out on my walk and talk with God and just wanted to bring you into that revelation and ⁓ just letting you know how really easy it is if we just watch our game or whatever and just kind of be mindful. What can I pick up? What can I see? What can I observe that can be utilized for a topic that would be relevant and hit home for for brothers? All right.

That's it, man. Love you. Praying for you. Believing you. And hope and pray you have an amazing Sunday, my brother.

Treveal C.W. Lynch (13:24)
Morning, morning, morning. Appreciate that. That was awesome. You know, it's kind of funny because this morning I woke up and I was ⁓ doing a Bible plan and then I started to think about the games yesterday and thinking about the podcast and stuff like that. It's funny because it's kind of similar to what you were saying yesterday's game. So, Embiid, ⁓ you know, he's had a difficult time with

injuries and stuff like that when it comes to the playoffs and You know, he was 0 and 3 game 7s and You know, like I said, he's always hurt It's just unfortunate because like he's like when he's healthy He's one of the best like even when the Olympics like he was he was one of the ones that helped save, know team USA to help help them win and You know when he's on it he's

He's the best. He's one of the best top and he was MVP once, know, so for a whole season so ⁓ But you know with the injuries and stuff like that and then then facing the Celtics the Celtics I think they've they've beaten the Sixers every time they played the playoffs since Damn, they're 79. I think I think it was our 82 When dr. J was playing bruh Like like the Sixers can't haven't beaten the Celtics in the in the series

since then. So that's a minute ago, over a decade. for MB to like come back from the surgery, you know, three weeks from the surgery and come back and, you know, play so hard. And for this game seven, and they were saying that he was thinking about retiring, you know, his default, you know, he's pretty much ready to give up because of all the injuries, he's interprone, you know, he's working so hard to like get back and get in shape and

You know, play the game and then all these people, the news media is over here saying all these things about him. Like he can't be healthy. He's, you know, sitting out on games on purpose. He's a load managing games and stuff like that. But really, you know, it's not his fault, you know, and when things come about, you know, our lives and stuff like that, a lot of times it's not our fault. It just comes our way. And our default is to get mad or give up.

not want to deal with it and stuff like that just similar to what you were saying you know it it forces you to get in your bag you know it forces you to step it up and he could have gave up he couldn't have not played this whole this whole series you know he just had surgery and yet still he was like you know what i'm going to play i'm going to kill and he killed he was the best player yesterday in game seven and you know even jalen brown like

Jalen Brown on the Celtics. He was like he was getting all the calls. He was flopping. Nah, he was playing ball You know people he was still hating on him. Somebody was still hating on him and he's and they still won, you know

so Yeah brother, appreciate the message. I think it's two game sevens today so I'll be on the lookout for that.

watching that and see if we can get some tidbits, some little secrets so that we can add to this podcast. Alright brother, hope you have a good Sunday too. Love you man.
