Have you ever asked yourself, “Why am I stuck and why can’t I move forward?”
You know there is more for your life.
You have goals, dreams, ideas, opportunities, and maybe even a God-given calling — but something keeps stopping you.
In this episode of the iAMthepossible Podcast Experience, Treveal C.W. Lynch breaks down one of the biggest reasons people stay stuck: fear.
Not fear as in “something is actually trying to kill you,” but fear as in the brain interpreting discomfort, risk, uncertainty, embarrassment, rejection, failure, and unfamiliar opportunities as threats to your survival.
That is why you can want better and still hesitate.
That is why you can pray for change and still avoid the very action connected to your breakthrough. That is why you can know what to do and still not do it.
Treveal introduces a simple but powerful method called the "M&M Method" — a practical way to shift the meaning you assign to fear, change your emotional state, and move your body into action before fear talks you out of your future.
If you have been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, afraid to take a risk, or tired of watching opportunities pass you by, this episode will help you understand the inner process behind your hesitation and give you a clear way to move forward.
Because the truth is: fear is not always a warning. Sometimes fear is just the doorway to your next level.
In This Episode, You’ll Learn
- Why fear is one of the biggest reasons people feel stuck in life.
- How your brain can confuse discomfort with danger.
- Why survival mode keeps you choosing familiar pain over unfamiliar possibility.
- How the meaning you assign to a situation determines your mood and movement.
- Why your self-concept affects your courage, confidence, and capacity.
- How to use the Make It Up & Move Method to take action faster.
- Why “I give myself permission to try” can become a breakthrough statement.
- How David and Goliath reveal the power of self-talk, identity, and courageous action.
- Why most of what scares you is not actually a threat to your physical survival.
- How to move forward scared without waiting to feel fearless.

Welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome to another episode of the I Am The Possible podcast experience the place where possibilities become perspective guys, welcome into the space and into the place today. We are talking about being stuck and not moving forward. Why am I stuck and I'm not able to move forward? If that's you then today's episode.
is for you. Now, one of the major reasons that many of us are afraid or I should say why we're stuck is because we're afraid. There's this fear factor that's showing up in our lives. I don't know if you guys have ever watched the show Fear Factor. I'm a big fan and they just wrapped up like a new season. kind of took a different spin on this this season's ⁓ show, but
⁓ fear factor is, based upon taking everyday people and putting them in a scenario that terrifies them, right? It's a, it's a, it's a task or some sort of challenge that they have to volunteer to do. No one's forcing them to do it, but there's a prize, right? There's something at the, at the end, right? You're competing for, I believe it was like $50,000, but
I'm going somewhere with this, right? I'm setting it up, right? And so there's this fear that's presented through these different challenges, but there is a prize at the end. There's something for you to win. There's this incentive. And so you still have to decide, is this thing going to defeat me? Am I not going to move forward? Am I going to be paralyzed with fear? Am I going to find a way to talk myself out of it?
Am I ⁓ not going to do it or am I going to tap into something within me and recognize that this thing terrifies me, but like we like to say, right, do it scared. I'm going to do it anyway. ⁓ That just kind of came to mind as I was going live, ⁓ but that's not really what I wanted to share. ⁓ But the idea is that you're stuck, you're not able to move forward.
You're wondering why. And today we're going to talk about fear. We're to talk about risk. I think that's one of the major reasons that we feel stuck in life. We know where we want to go. We know what we want to achieve, but there's something that is being presented, something in our way that terrifies us. And we got to be honest about that. We got to be real about that. There's something that scares us. The unfamiliar, the, you know,
the thing that you've never done before, the thing that you've never tried before, and you're not used to it, you're not comfortable with it, and you may doubt yourself, you may doubt your ability to do it, to be successful at it, whatever it might be, something's coming up. And I wanted to share with you this very simple method that I've used, and I believe will be something very practical and something very easy for you to begin to use in your own life.
I got my notes as I always do, wanna educate. ⁓ So I wanna take you through a few things that I wrote down as I was thinking about how can I help someone who they know God's called them to do something or they feel like God's called them to do something or they just have a dream or a vision or they've got a goal or they've just got something that they want to do, whatever the context is for you, right? However you name it, however you frame it.
whatever it looks like for you, there's something that you want to do and it's something that you're able to do. You've got the capacity, you're capable of doing it, but you're froze, you're stuck, you're not moving forward. Well, the first thing that I wanna introduce to you and then I wanna circle back, it's called my ⁓ method. My ⁓ method, it's made up of make it up and move, right? and make it up and move.
The first thing that I wanted to share with you is I want to kind of open you up to some awarenesses around some of the things that's happening sort of internally and in the background, and then we'll get to the application. Okay? So I'll share a few things that's going to lead up to helping you to apply this, because I think that the awareness is very important. It's important that you have the awareness before the application. This is kind of a new thing that I'm starting.
I'm starting to kind of ⁓ hone in on as I began to teach these specific methods, I wanna begin to really get good at helping you to gain whatever awareness you need and then moving you into whatever application, the actual steps that you need. So the first thing that I want to make you aware of is that we are living in the land of make believe. I don't know if you know that or not, but...
That's where we are. don't know if you grew up, I grew up in the 70s, the 80s and 90s as a child. And there was this show, Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. If you remember Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood and if you're on live, live on LinkedIn, live on YouTube, drop a comment, Mr. Rogers, in the comments, just Mr. Rogers, if you're feeling me on Mr. Rogers.
But there was a show called Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood and Mr. Rogers would come in every day and he'd sing a little song and he'd take his shoes off and change his shoes and take his jacket off and put on his little sweater and he'd sit down and he'd do arts and crafts and whatnot. But at some point, at some point, Mr. Rogers is going to move us, the audience, into a focus on this little choo-choo train, on this little train that had this little track and it would go through this tunnel.
And when it went through this tunnel, it would go into the darkness, like the whole screen would go black. And then as it would open back up, we'd in the land of make believe. And it was these little caricatures, right? These little puppets that would be talking and whatnot. And they're in this fantasy land where everything is possible, anything is possible. And so the idea is that
That's really what life is. Life is this land of make believe. We're making things up as we go along. If you really pause and you really think about and stick with me, this is all leading to this eminent method, right? This make it up and move method.
If you really start to think about life, what's real? What's, now I get it, right? Cause some of my audience, you know, we're Christians, we're people of faith, we believe in God, we trust in God. And so there is this idea of truth and real and reality, but I want you to take your Christian head off for a moment and just lean into this awareness.
We're making things up. We're meaning makers. That's the second thing that I wanted to make you aware of if you're not already aware of it. We are meaning makers. We make things up all day long. We are not living reality. We're living our interpretation of the environments and the events that are happening in our lives. When we see something, we interpret it through our own
internal makeup. I won't even get into that, just as a, let me just drop a little something while you're there. I'm learning through neuroscience that we don't even see the world as it's projecting inwardly. Like the world is happening outside and like we're taking in that information. Really what's happening is we're projecting like a movie projector. We're projecting outwardly the conditioning that is within us. So a lot of
what we see on the outside is being shaped. Our perception of what we see out here is being shaped by the inner life, the inner world that we've trained and that we've conditioned. And so when we see something, that's why two people can see the same thing, but see it totally different ways. That's why one person can see it being a good thing and another person can see it being a bad thing. It's all based upon how they are projecting from the inside out.
And so we got to understand that if we want to get unstuck, if we want to move forward in life, consistently moving forward, consistently trying, consistently seeing progress in our lives, we have to take back the autonomy. We have to take back the ownership and we have to really come to grips with this awareness, training this awareness that I am a meaning maker, being aware that I am projecting outwardly from an internal state.
And what I've constructed on the inside, the concept, the conversations, the capacity that I've cultivated within me, that is shaping, it is influencing what it is ⁓ and how I see the things that are happening outside of me. This is all gonna play into this method. So I wanna do the first, be aware that we are in the land of make believe. We are making things up.
When you see something happening, you without even thinking about it, it's on a default mode in our brains. It's like default. We see things, we interpret things. that's good. That's bad. That's right. That's wrong. We do it all day long. I forgot what the number is, but we make something like it's like in the thousands of decisions per day. We're not always conscious to the fact that we're making these decisions. They're little micro decisions.
We think of decisions like, ⁓ should I go to the store or not? Decision. ⁓ should I write that paper or not? ⁓ should I start my or not? Right? Those, those we think are decisions, but decisions are picking up this pen. Decision is put down this pen. Decision is going live this morning. We're making decisions all day long. And so we are making up the meanings.
of the things that are happening around us, things that are happening to us, things that are happening through us. And so when you began to be aware of that level of autonomy, that God-given gift to make things up, it primes you for the method that I'm going to share with you because when you understand that you're the one that's making it up, you begin to empower yourself. You begin to inspire yourself.
Because you understand now that things don't have authority over you. Things don't have as much power as you've been giving them. You don't see the world the same way anymore, right? As we're projecting out, when you understand that we're living in the land of make believe, that we're all making things up to fit into the scope, into the realm.
of the world that is within us. There's this world out here, but there's a world, more impactful, a more influential world that's within here. And that world that's within here and here, that inner world, that's the one that's influencing this outer world to a greater degree. So when we understand that my inner life, my inner world is influencing my outer life, my outer world,
It puts you in the driver's seat. It puts you back in a position where you can do life with God in a way that's empowering, that's inspiring, that's motivating, right? That gives life rather than draining life. Now you're not just pushing through, but you're thriving, not just surviving, right? And that leads me into my next awareness. And that's how the brain works. The brain
I don't know if you know this or not. Some of you do. So it's a refresher course. But if you don't know this, it's really important that you do. The human brain is not built to thrive. It's built to survive. The brain is built, constructed to keep you alive. Self-preservation. It is to keep you alive, not to thrive. So let's break this down. To thrive,
means to go for your goals. Right? That's what this whole show is talking about. To thrive means to go for your goals, to go for your vision, to go for your dreams, to pursue that better life, to pursue all that's possible. That's thriving, taking care of yourself, practicing self care, practicing mindfulness, right? Doing things that bring about health on your physical level.
mental level, emotional level, spiritual level, right? That's thriving. But those things require effort, work. Those things require actions, actions that we're not always brave enough to take, courageous enough to take. And that's why I started with the fear factor. There's a fear factor that's happening that's keeping you stuck. There's a fear factor that's happening that's preventing you from moving forward.
And now that you understand that there's a fear factor that's happening, you don't have to practice willpower. You don't have to ⁓ practice something that's not going to work for you. But you can begin to, from the inside out, build a whole new narrative, build a whole new idea of yourself, build a whole new framework for who you are and how you are and how things are in such that you begin to move forward effortlessly.
You begin to take chances, risks. You begin to move forward because it's becoming who you are, not just who you desire to be. Sometimes we want something, but we don't know that we need to become someone to ourselves that's worthy of that thing. Because sometimes we're praying for something that internally we don't feel that we're even worthy of having. Sometimes we desire things, whether it's from God or from other people, but we don't
the concept that we have of ourselves, we don't really believe that we're capable of it, that we're worthy of it. We don't really believe that we can handle it, manage it, maintain it. And so a lot of times there's this internal concept, right? The self concept that's fighting against your prayers and your desires and your moving forward. Many times that's why we're stuck because the inner concept, the old person, the old man, the old warm man is saying,
What you're asking for, what you're praying for, that's too big for us. We can't handle that. That doesn't align with who we really believe we are. so life has to course correct. Life has to realign with who we actually believe that we are. And so going back to the brain, the brain is built for survival. It wants to keep you alive. What does that look like? It looks like the bare minimum. It looks like having just enough food, having just enough money.
having just enough whatever, just enough, bare minimum, not abundance. This is not some prosperity preaching, by the way, but it's not about abundance, not having more than enough, not taking risks, not doing the things that life has to offer, not believing God for the bigger things of life. Surviving is, can I just make it through today? Can I just make it to my next paycheck? Can I just get by? And that's the mode that a lot of us are on.
And that's why we're stuck. That's why we're not able to move forward because fear grips us and says out there, the unfamiliar out there where dreams come true out there where the possibilities become perspective out there where things happen out there, the where the things happen that I want to be a part of out there. That's risky. That's terrifying. That's not in alignment with who I believe I am.
I'm afraid to go out there, right? And so the brain says, listen, let's not do that. That is a threat to our survival. And the brain can't tell the difference. That's why dreams scare you. The dream isn't real. You go to sleep at night, you have a dream and it wakes you up and you're like, my God, my God.
It's not real, it still scares you. Because the brain can't tell the difference between reality and a dream. Truth and a dream. That's why every Halloween, we can go to Knott's Berry Farms or Knott's Scary Farms. And as soon as we get out the car or we can go to Universal Studios, wherever they have these big haunted houses, right? We know that these are everyday people dressed up in costumes. But we
The minute we get out the car, we're on edge. where they gonna jump out from? ⁓ what if one like runs up on me? We're already in fight or flight mode. And some of us are going through life on fight or flight mode. We're going through life like we're going through a haunted house, afraid of what might jump out, afraid of what might go wrong, afraid of losing something. And the truth is,
Most of the things that scare you, that create fear within you, that creates hesitancy within you, that creates you being paralyzed, the things that are holding you back, most of those things, most, are not detrimental to your actual physical health. They're not life or death.
For example, you may want a new job and someone's hiring, let's just say, big companies, you know, hiring. You could submit your resume. You could do the interview thing, right? But let's just say, for example, the CEO walks out the building and I'm just making something up, It's like you want the new job, the CEO comes out the door and you see the person. You could.
walk up to that person and say, hey, ⁓ I'm in the market. I'm looking for a job. I heard that you guys have a, you know, a position open. I would love to apply blah, blah, blah. That's well within your ability, but why wouldn't you do it? Because there's this fear. There's this fight or flight. There's this hesitancy. There's this procrastination. There's this holding back a part of that holding back.
is a threat to your brain. Your brain is saying that is overload. That is way too much to handle. I can't do that. That's going to embarrass me. That's going to something, right? You name it, you frame it. You know what that narrative is and you know the situation in your own personal life. My job is just to bring this stuff up. My job is just to bring awareness to it and then give you some application on how to get past it.
But you know what that thing is for you. It's well within your ability, but you don't do it. You hold back anyway. This is the reason why. The brain is saying that is terrifying. It risks our safety. Survival mode is about safety, about the familiar, about routine, about what's comfortable, about what I've already done, what I've always done. It's about pattern, right?
I'm actually working on, and this is just a plug, for another workshop based upon this other method, just really helping to break down the fact that your picture, the picture that you have of yourself, that determines the patterns that you involve yourself in, those routines. And those patterns, that's what dictates those things that you do on repeat mode, those repetitions, those things that you always do.
That is what's leading to the possibilities that you're able to tap into. So it goes picture, patterns, possibilities. Guys, if you've trained, if your pattern has always been get right up to the line, but fall back. About to reach, but then fall back. You're training that. That's a pattern. Failure becomes a pattern. Just like success becomes a pattern. And the good news is, is that we can train this thing, right?
So I'm giving you a lot of awareness. So let me get into the application. All right? Let's get into the application. All right. And then I'm gonna give you one more little bonus kind of thing to focus on this week. All right? Number one, understand that there's a three step process. Meaning, mood, movement. Meaning, mood, movement. All right? Three M's. The meaning determines the mood or the feeling.
which determines the movement. If I see something in front of me and I assign it the meaning, remember I'm the meaning maker and we're living in the land of make believe, whatever I make it to be, I believe. Make believe. I make up what I believe, okay? So if I make it up, I believe it, there it is, right? Belief dictates behavior. Behavior dictates results. Results reinforce.
the belief and the vicious cycle continues. I'm going say that one more time for the people in the back. All right. Someone needs to hear that. Belief dictates behavior. Behavior dictates results. Results reinforce belief and the vicious cycle continues. If you want to break the results or change the results, change the behavior. But if you want to change the behavior, change the belief.
And if you want to change the belief, you got to start with being. Who are you being? All right. That was a side note. So back to this, the meaning, the mood, the movement. If you control the meanings that you assign something, you control the mood, AKA how you feel about it. And through that feeling, you can actually change the actions or the movement that you take. Cause the problem,
that we're facing in this video or what we're addressing in today's episode is you're feeling stuck and you're not moving forward. You're stuck and you're not going after your goals. So the reason you're not is because you are afraid of something. Well, here's the good news, my friend. You can give that thing a new meaning and by doing so, you can create a new feeling around it. And by doing so, you can start to actually self motivate.
pushing yourself out into this world, pushing yourself forward into that thing. See how that empowers you, how that regulates you, how that moves you? This is all possible. This is all possible. I've seen it done in my own life. This is all possible. The other day, I'm gonna tell one story and then I'm gonna get into the application. A couple of weeks ago for my birthday, actually.
I have been wanting to go, ⁓ well actually just for my life, just in my life in general, I have been wanting to go to this wellness spa out in LA. And well, in general, I just wanted to go to a wellness spa in general, but I found one in LA that was, excuse me, that aligned with everything that I was looking for. ⁓ so you do the...
You go in, you do the yoga, you do the stretching, you do the mindfulness, all of that stuff. And then you go to the hot sauna, you're sitting there. And then you go into this cold plunge room and they've got three tubs. One is just for the sake of me explaining it. One is cold, one is cold, and one is cold, cold, cold, cold.
Make your body shiver cold, right? ⁓ Now you got the three choices and I was with a group of people and I think one or two of them got into the cold one. I think maybe one person got into the colder one, but wasn't nobody messing with that cold, cold, cold one. So you do two rounds. So I got into the first one, cause I had been doing cold plunges for a while and kind of ice baths for a while. Cause I got into that while back. So I got into the first one.
And yeah, it had some bite to it. Like, ⁓ boy, this got some bite. I didn't tell nobody, right? That ego was kicking in, but that one had some bite. Like these professional ice baths, like it's lined with like this metal and like it's real. you know, I do cold plunges, you know, in my swimming pool in the morning. That's cold, but this pool was real.
code, right? But I had already opened my mouth and said, I'm gonna do this one first, then I'm gonna do the big boy, like the 30 something degrees big boy. So we did that one cool circle back around. Okay, now it's time to do the big boy. Well, the lady goes to kind of prep it for me and she says, Oh my God, there's a sheet of ice. She says this thing has never gotten this cold. There's a sheet of ice covering the bath.
Big old block of ice, like that thick. And I'm looking at it like, and there's a room full of other folks and it's like, they already know I said I was going to do it. So now they're know, they're like cheering me on, right? Excited to see me suffer, right? And I'm like, yo man, she the ice, huh? ⁓ my goodness, what have I gotten myself into?
That's what was going through my head like, ⁓ boy, what man, what I know my mouth and got myself into. That was my initial default thought. Because I had never gone into anything that cold. Like that was real. Like it had a sheet of ice over it. Like this is for real, right? I had done some other stuff, but this is for real. And so I actually applied this method that I'm going to show you. This make it up and move method.
The first thing is I made it up in my mind.
It's not killing me. This is not detrimental. It's an experience. it's real. But by all intense purposes.
99.9 % of the time, right? mean, everything's possible, but 99 % of the time, I'm not gonna die if I get into this water. It's like 33, 34 degrees, 35 degrees or something like that. I know it was, it was in the low thirties, cause she says it's never gotten that cold before. I do remember it was like 30 something, something degrees. And I'm not gonna die.
I'ma be cold, I might even be frostbitten, but I'm not gonna die.
I made it up in my mind. I'm able to survive this. I'm able to do this.
It may be extremely painful, uncomfortable, but it also has benefits. Remember I started with fear factor. The fear is placed before you, the task, the challenge, it's put before you and it's going to challenge you, it's going to require something of you. However, there's benefit. In this case, she had already educated us and I had already researched.
all the benefits of an ice bath. I know that I would feel amazing when I was done. I know that I'm going to have all these therapeutic benefits and the ego is going to get stroked because I'm in front of all these people. Half of them are women, right? And it's like, yeah, like I'm not trying to impress them. Like don't get that. Okay, that's not my point. But there's something about the guy and when there's women,
is like the ego even gets even higher. You know, like I'm not going to like no punk, right? I'm going just be full of transparency. Like there is an ego there, right? We all got one. So some of that was there, right? But I began to, number one, say to myself, this is not detrimental to my health, which is actually the first part of this method.
to realize that the challenge in front of you is not going to literally kill you. Remember, the brain does not know the difference between this is going to kill us and this is just uncomfortable. So you have to begin to talk to yourself. You have to begin to speak to yourself, right? That's why I go so hard on that concept conversation capacity, which you see in yourself determines what you say to yourself, which determines what you are able to sustain for yourself. And so in this moment, in real time, I saw myself as someone
who could do this. So I said things to myself in alignment with someone who could do this. Thus I created in real time the capacity to do this. And this will work for you as well. I'm living proof of it and I'm not the only one that can benefit from this. And so I began to say to myself, okay, cool, this is not gonna kill me. So what do I do? I get in. That's the second part. Make it up.
and move. There's scientifically been proven that if you wait past, I don't know how many seconds, but like when you're faced with something, if you wait too long, you will talk your way out of it. You will find a way to shrink back. You have to take action within a given window of time. What did they say? The opportunity of a lifetime must be seized within the lifetime of the opportunity. That can play here as well, right?
Your possibilities, they have a window of time. And if you take advantage of it and you move forward fast enough, right? Then you can do some amazing things in this world if you just move fast enough. So because I understood this, because I've been doing this for some, you know, some time, I just, okay, boom, this is not going to kill me. I am someone who can do this. Talk myself up. Talk myself up.
And I got in it before anything else. Cause other folks were talking about, my God, that's so cold. my God, I see the ice. How's he even going to get in there? my God, my God. So I got in. Excuse me. The thing about getting in is once you're in, it's way harder to get out. Do you know what that looks like to put one leg in and then back out? There's something about it. Getting that one foot in, that one leg in.
Take it at one step. It creates momentum and you find yourself like me, neck deep in the possibilities. I slipped my body on down in that frigid water I sure did. And it was cold. I got some words, some adjectives that I could ⁓ say, but boy, yikes. But then after about 40 seconds,
I was there.
Did it for like a minute, half, I'm there. Two minutes, they cheering me on. They taking a video. I took a video of it to send to the family. Guys, just getting in. Make up, make up the meaning that you want. That's gonna be conducive to the feeling that you wanna have. To be brave, be whatever you need to be, right? I got this, can do, yeah. This ain't nothing. I got this, yeah.
I'm able, boom, make up that meaning, move on it, get in there. And the other thing that I did was, and I think I already kind of started with it, I began to think about the reward. I began to think about the ego, how impressive I would look in front of others. I did. I'm gonna be honest with you. I felt, I started thinking about how good I would feel about myself, most importantly, right? All jokes aside.
I was thinking about how proud I would be of myself. And that was motivating. How proud I would be of myself, right? I thought about that. And I thought about all of the therapeutic benefits because I pay for this. This was something that I paid for. So I put money into this. I want to get all that I can get. This wasn't free. So I began, all of that was working in real time.
and it helped me to get into that situation. It was so freaking cold. And you can see it in a video that the sheet of ice, I was actually resting my feet on the sheet of ice.
Because normally when you go into these ice baths, your entire body, you know, sink down into them and you only can see your neck. Well, my feet were propped up because there was a sheet of ice that we had to break and it was just floating on the top and my feet, my ankles were just resting on top of this block of ice. was that cold. So I felt really dope about myself and ⁓ I applied this method. So let me walk you through it.
All right, I wrote it down just the way that I wanted to explain it. This is what I want you to do this week. The next time you are afraid to move forward, the next time a challenge is in front of you and you want to hesitate, you want to back out, but you know your goals, your dreams, what you desire is on the other side of it. Here's what I want you to do. I want you to say this to yourself. Number one, this is not a threat. That's the first thing.
Acknowledge it. Say it out loud. Call out your name and then say, this is not a threat. Travell, this is not a threat to my physical survival. By doing this, I am not gonna die.
Right? Just acknowledging that. Right? And then giving it a meaning. If I do this, it means that I'm brave. If I do this, it means that I'm courageous. I do this, it means I get to be proud of myself. If I do this, I might get the job. I might get to this. I might get to that. If I do this, God might be able to bless me to actually have this or to actually have that. Make it up, man. And then move on and take a freaking action.
Don't wait, just move, make it up and move. You will be surprised that the more you do this, the easier it becomes. I want you to say to yourself, not only is this a threat, I want you to also say to yourself, I give myself permission to try. I give myself permission to try. Don't add nothing else to it. Don't add nothing else to that sentence.
I give myself permission to try. Talk to yourself, tell yourself, I give myself permission. You're able to say those things because you started with, this is not a threat. I'm not gonna die. Brain, listen up. This is not a threat to our survival. And because it ain't a threat, I give myself permission to try. Boom. And then move the physical body. Right? Just like a domino.
This is not a threat. That's the first domino. This is not a threat. Second domino. I give myself permission to try. That's the second domino. Third domino, move your body. Take an action, move physically, whatever that looks like. Take an action. And I want you to remember and to think about, and here it is, I wrote it down, focus on the feeling of being the person who tries.
Focus on the feeling. Remember, meanings, moods, movement. Focus on the feeling. The more you focus on the feeling, the less you focus on the fear of whatever is in front of you. Come on, David. Come on, David. I'm sure Goliath was intimidating, terrifying. I'm sure. I'm sure.
But in my, as we say, in my sanctified imagination, I could imagine David salivating. I could imagine David visualizing, fantasizing, about the reward. Yeah, this big sucker is in front of me. ⁓ this is to be, this is crazy. Because he had no guarantee. Sometimes we read that story, David and Goliath, like David had a guarantee.
David did not, there's no, there's nowhere in the Bible where it was written. David had a guarantee that he was going to David just had the courage. He had the self-talk. He had the self-concept. He had the capacity to take an action, but he wasn't guaranteed. He go up there with a little slingshot. He wasn't guaranteed. Certainly wasn't guaranteed to hit him right in the head.
but the possibilities were on the other side of his action because David took the action, but I'm sure he was thinking about the reward and that helped in the process. You even read the word when David was talking about who is this uncircumcised Philistine, who is this? He's already doing the internal dialogue. There's your proof, there's your biblical proof. That is a glimpse into the very thing that I'm talking about. That was internal dialogue.
That was the self-talk. That was the conversations that I preach about and teach about on this platform all the time. He's like, yo man, who is this dude? Because who he felt he was was a shepherd of the Lord. Who he felt he was was God's man. See how that works? The concept, the conversation, the capacity.
The Bible is proving my method, right? I didn't even make that connection until right now, real time today, whatever today is, I ain't got my watch on, but like today. So there's your proof. But that's the method, man. That's the method, not the method man, although I grew up in the 90s, baby, the method man, early 2000, the method man, M-E-T-H-O-D, man.
And no, I'm not from the East Coast. I'm from the Chi and Toledo, Ohio. Shout out to all of my Toledoans. But ⁓ nah, man, grew up on the Method, man. Wu Tang, all that good stuff. yeah, man, that proves the Method, right? So there it is, my Method, make it up and move. Hope and pray that this has blessed you, man. I want you to put this to action in your life. Do it. Watch this as many times as you need to watch it. Go and do this.
Practice this. Remember, whatever you repeat, you reinforce. Will it be easy the first time? Probably not. Will it be easy the second time? Probably not. Will it be easy the third time? Probably not. Doesn't matter. So what? This is your life. And as far as we know, we only got one, at least on this side of glory. So make the best of it. Don't cheat yourself. Treat yourself, right? Do what is possible.
And here is a method that will help you to do it. All right. Hope and pray that this has blessed you, added some value to your life, gave you some awareness, gave you some application. Now it's in your hands. The power is with you. Right. I don't know if that was a movie or not, but just sounded right. The power is with you. The power of possibilities are with you. So go out and do something with it. All right. Love you guys. Praying for you guys. Believing in you guys. Listen, man, share this with somebody. You ain't the only one that needs this.
