WIFI Connection With God
I'd love to hear from you! Reach out my friend :)
Walk. In. Faith. Into (WIFI) Connection With God. Here we are in 2021 so technologically advanced and "connected" to each other through the internet. Here’s the thing though, even the most up to date, state of the art, hot on the market: technology, virtual, digital and artificial intelligence of our time, can’t even come close to the capability, capacity and connection that our creator can provide. Really! Think about it...take a listen and I'm sure you will agree that a connection with God is the coolest WIFI connection you could possibly have!
If you want to have your bible ready, today we focus on a section from Psalm 139.

Our Faith Your Day Declaration!
Jesus, thank you so much for loving me in the way that you do! You designed me on purpose for a purpose. I want to live to my full potential today, with a mindset that honors you and a soul that seeks to know you better. Jesus I know that you are the way, the truth and the life, and I ask you to guide me and reveal to me what it is that you want to show me here, have me experience here, and learn from this season. Help mold me and shape me into the best version of me. I will live today as your vessel ready to receive your word, respond to your promptings, and pour out your overflowing love to those all around me. Please allow your thoughts to become my thoughts, your ways to become my ways and your will to become what I truly desire. Jesus if you are in it I want it and if you are not I don’t! I make myself available to you and I choose to faith this day of life! I am so grateful to be your girl! In Jesus name Amen!

Hey Siri, what’s the weather today? Hey Google, how much farther to the next Starbucks? Hey Alexa can you use vinegar to clean a quartz countertop? Where do you go when you need an answer to a question you have? Do you ever ask Siri, Google or Alexa? Yeah me too, who doesn’t want instant, abundant and accurate answers to the simple task orientated and practical questions of the day. These handy dandy virtual assistants can provide us with a convenient means to answering our queries. But what about the big questions? What about the life changing decisions, the forever affects your path in life moments or the stomach turning big requests that we need to make all too often in life? Where do you turn for the answers to those questions? It simply doesn’t make sense that you would turn to Amazon Alexa to ask how much longer you can pay your mortgage and feed your family while in the financial mess you are in. You can’t ask her to provide you with what you need to get through this tough time. You would never turn to Apple’s Siri to ask how to move forward and simply have enough strength to get through a day after the devastating loss of a loved one. You can’t ask for guidance and courage to get you through to tomorrow. You could never get the answer you need from Google when asking where you will be in 5 years if you keep on the path that you are going? Google simply won’t be able to provide you with the direction to go to ensure you are on the right path. Life forces us to make some pretty big decisions at times, and if we aren’t asking the right questions, or asking for the right assistance from the right source, well then things can get even more complicated and messy. So if you can’t ask a virtual assistant to answer and steer you through the really important life decisions, then who can you turn to? Rest easy my girl because there is a whole other set of names you can call on to answer any question or decision you’ve ever struggled with: God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Let’s be honest, It might seem ironic to ditch the most up to date modern virtual assistants of our time, in lieu of the most ancient and seemingly outdated guides of the past, but hear me out.
In the middle of 2021 we are on this day, at this moment more technologically advanced than we ever have been in all of history. It’s almost frightening to think about how quickly technology is advancing, and how now artificial intelligence or A.I is coming along. It’s becoming a reality at warp speed. Ideas, concepts and prototypes that were once only seen in science fiction, are very quickly becoming a part of real life. In fact many of us already have these high tech devices in our homes, vehicles and workplaces. Where will it go from here? How quickly will things advance? What will we see in our lifetimes and be able to tell our grandkids about? Who knows! Only time will tell.
Here’s the thing though, even the most up to date, state of the art, hot on the market: technology, virtual, digital and artificial intelligence of our time, can’t even come close to the capability, capacity and connection that our creator can provide. Really! Think about it…
God does not require you to have a fancy smartphone to reach him, Jesus doesn’t need you to have a wifi connection, do a voice command or hit a button for him to know your needs and the Holy Spirit never ever runs out of battery life, requires a software update, or gets misplaced somewhere in your house by your toddler. We don’t need a digital device, computer or satellite to access the most powerful, knowledgeable force in the universe. We don’t need to have the latest operating system, money to update to the most recent hand held device, or skills and knowledge in search engine optimization, platforms or coding to gain an instant and clear connection to our creator. He already knows how you are feeling, how you need him to help, and where you need to go. He knows the answer to the questions you have, before you even thought to ask them. Accessing the most powerful and devine support in existence is as simple as calling upon him in prayer.
If you're anything like me you’re in awe every time you hear about something new going on in the tech/science world.I am not a tech obsessed gal but that’s not to say hearing about all the crazy stuff that is up and coming doesn’t wow me. DNA, Space travel, Artificial Intelligence in robots, the internet and its capabilities, my mind is exploding. Like how does it all work, how did it come to be? How do scientists and developers know all this stuff? My mind quickly fizzles when it comes to understanding any of it. I’m impressed that it’s a reality for us in life now, but I just mentally can not comprehend how any of it works. It’s not my wheelhouse, it’s not where my expertise lies, it’s mind numbing for me to try to understand all of the knowledge and development behind these technologies. And yet, despite how cool all of these developments are, they are nowhere near as cool as our God. You want to talk mind numbing, awe inspiring, head spinning coolness! Consider this: God is the one who created the DNA that we are within the last few decades discovering and trying to figure out, God is the positioner of the stars, planets and galaxies, that man is trying to travel to, photograph and study. God already knows where artificial intelligence and developments in technology will be in another 25, 50 or even 500 years. God completely understands how everything humans have ever made or developed works... as he is the creator of the minds who dream up these ideas. I really appreciate and acknowledge the achievements of humans, but I’m simply in jaw dropping awe and amazement when it comes to what God can do and has done.
He’s my go to when it comes to how to live this life I’m living, and he should be yours too because my darling he’s the inventor and visionary who created us and knows exactly what we’re made for. He’s like the Steve Jobs of your soul, the Elon Musk of your heart, the Bill Gates of your mind and the Mark Zuckerburg of your physical body. He envisioned you and all you could do before you were even alive. Like the great inventors and minds of our time, he has the ability to imagine something before it exists and then go to work on making it a reality. He built all of me, he built all of you and he knows exactly how we work, how we function, what features we have and how to make the best possible use of them. Deciding to go through life without your creator involved sounds a bit silly doesn’t it? We know that life is complicated, life gets messy, life can be so incredibly beautiful and wonderful, but it also can be incredibly hard and well it can just downright suck some days right? So aren’t you glad that your life came with access to 24/7 around the clock support and an instruction manual for how to live a life worth living? God set you up for success when he created you! I told you he was cool!
I want to read a section from Psalm 139:
To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me.
God wants a connection with you, he wants you to depend on him, he wants you to go to him when you’re unsure, go to him when you’ve got uncertainty, questions, and decisions to make. You do not need to fumble through life alone. You do not need to decipher the meaning of it all and wonder if you’re screwing it all up. You do not need to go through another day feeling completely lost and unsure. Girl you need to start asking the right questions to the right source! You need to start with a simple prayer to say “Lord I can’t do this alone, please show me the way, lord please let me walk in faith with you”. You don’t need another app, another device to assist you or another distraction to temporarily take your mind off where things are at. If you’re anything like me you need help...on the daily! I don’t go a day anymore without reaching out for his 24/7 support, to connect with him, and consult my instruction manual.
As humans we crave connection. We crave guidance and knowledge that we are needed and loved. God acts as a connection compass. When we stray too far off the path that he wants to lead us on we start to lose that feeling of connection. This is where many people stumble and begin to seek that connection with other things, and in other relationships. The problem is though that the connections we create in other places never run as deep or as true as the connection we are meant to have with our creator. In a wifi world, it’s easy to feel that we have the world at our fingertips and are therefore truly connected. We literally have the world in the palm of our hands. This connection though is superficial. When used as a tool, a supplement to and a reinforcement of true connection it’s beneficial. For example when you use facetime, or facebook to connect with friends and family that live far away etc it can be helpful, useful, meaningful. But when you use this type of connection in place of real connection it will eventually make you feel empty. This is where you need to connect fully with Christ. So how do you do that? Well let’s create a WIFI Connection With God. In this case WIFI stands for (Walk In Faith Into) Connection With God. You build a connection with God through faith. You build connection by believing in the plans he has for you before you can see them. You build faith by asking Jesus to lead you before you know where you are going. You build a faith connection with God by believing that even if you are in the dark right now that his plans are used for good and he’s not finished with you yet. This too shall pass, this too shall one day be in your rearview mirror, this too will build strength in you as you move forward. Don’t focus all your time and energy on a traditional wifi connection with your device, with your platforms, with your social media followers...it will make you feel good in the moment, but not for long. Focus on creating, building and developing a true WIFI connection with God. Walk In Faith Into Connection With God. It’s the one wifi connection that will never go off line, out of range, out of service or out of reception. Connect yourself to his signal, ask the questions, seek the guidance and be willing to walk in faith as you go.
