In this passage we discover the formation of the early church through the disciples. This group of Christ followers are commissioned by Jesus to continue the mission He began during His earthly ministry and that He fulfilled through His resurrection. The gospel is to be proclaimed to all, disciples are to be developed, and the church is given this mission directly from Jesus.
