Welcome back. I'm Brandi Sea. This is Design Speaks Podcast, and I'm so glad that you're here. I'm so happy that you've waited alllll this time. I know you've just been crying and so sad that I've been gone for, like, a year. I took a job as a marketing director. That did not end well. Leaving that job left me actually really insecure in my own skills and abilities. It was a real big hit to my creative confidence, and it was really hard for me to show up here to create any kind of long form or super meaningful content. I think it's time. So here we are. Welcome back. I wanted to give you a little bit of a preview and tell you about some of the episodes that I actually have planned for this coming year. I already recorded an interview, a really fun conversation with the epic, the legendary Chris Do. It's going to look like a very seamless part, too, considering the last episode before this one that I posted was with Chris Do. before this one that I posted was with Chris Do. before this one that I posted was with Chris Do. So that will be coming really soon. Also, some episodes that I am planning, not in any particular order. I'm going to be talking about some tips on how not to suck at design, how to use a creative brief. Why do words matter in a design process? Boundaries and creative City. There's a quote that you actually can't read at the moment. What side are we on here? Up here it says, Write one true sentence. It's my favorite quote from Ernest Hemingway. I want to talk a little bit about what that means in design and creativity and the importance of asking why before asking how and how that plays in to creating better work. And believe it or not, in less than ten episodes, we will be celebrating 200 episodes of Design Speaks. Most of them live on audio podcast. 200 episodes is a huge deal and I know that some of you have been here since episode one, so I'm super thankful for all of you. I'm going to be doing something really special for Episode 200. Some other things I want to talk about. Do you need a design degree? The difference between concept and theme and mood approaching your design with purpose. So purpose driven design. I want to do a really good series, maybe three or four different episodes on inspiration. What is inspiration? What's uncommon inspiration? How do you find it? How do you use it? I have some incredible designers and creative people that I'm going to be having some conversations with. Honestly, a lot more this year than I ever have in years past. I really enjoy going back and forth with another creative. I thought that this year would be a good year to kind of weave in more of those conversations into all the videos that are just me here talking to you guys. So as much as I love to talk, it's a lot more fun when I get to talk to other people. So lots more things coming. Ethical ideation, what is the design process? And so many more cool ideas to come. So I hope that you guys will stick with me. Thank you for being patient and waiting for a new episode. I look forward to sharing more with you this year. Stay creating cool things and we'll see you guys next.
