What if everything you thought you knew about creativity was wrong?
In this episode, I sit down with Chris Do to tackle some hard truths about design, inspiration, and why so many creatives stay stuck. From AI’s role in our industry to the dangers of relying on Pinterest for ideas, we’re digging into what it really takes to stand out and stay relevant in today’s creative world.
We talk about:
• Why being talented isn’t enough anymore
• The biggest mistake keeping designers from growing
• AI vs. designers—who’s actually winning?
• Where real inspiration comes from (hint: it’s not your screen)
• Why most designers resist structure—and why that’s a problem
• Chris and I don’t hold back in this one. If you’ve ever felt stuck, uninspired, or unsure how to evolve as a creative, this episode is your wake-up call.

How do you know what inspires you?
How do you figure out where your inspiration is?
How do you cultivate understanding what to look for when you're out in the world and looking for this uncommon inspiration?
The first thing I always tell people when they ask me, how do I find my own uncommon inspiration is, well, what kinds of things do you like?

Hey there, fellow designers and creatives! It's BrandiSea, and I'm here to challenge you to step outside of your comfort zone when it comes to finding inspiration. We all know that Pinterest is a great resource, but let's be real - everyone else is using it too. That's why I'm encouraging you to seek out "uncommon inspiration" in the world around you.
Take a walk in nature, explore your city, or even just look at everyday objects in a new way. You never know what unique textures, colors, and shapes you might come across that could inspire your next project.
I recently used a photo I took while on a walk with my son as inspiration for an album cover design, and it turned out amazing! So trust me when I say that inspiration is everywhere - you just have to be open to it.
Let's break free from our reliance on online platforms and create work that truly stands out and reflects our individuality. Are you up for the challenge? Let's go!

What if I told you that you could find usable design inspiration without getting on places like Behance, Pinterest, dribble, Google; whatever your go-to might be online. Would you believe me?
