In the 167th episode of The Truth with Tal & Isaac, the boys return with a full Detroit sports therapy session, mixed with NBA Playoff takes, a Boston road trip recap, and the one franchise still keeping the city alive: the Lions. They open with Off the Tops, discussing the NBA Playoffs, why the Thunder look like they are playing a different sport, Victor Wembanyama entering another level, shoutout NHL Playoffs, and more mania.

Firstly, the Pistons autopsy begins. Detroit survives Orlando behind Cade Cunningham’s superstar rise, but the second-round collapse against Cleveland completely changes the tone. The boys break down blowing a 2-0 lead, getting embarrassed at home in Game 7, and the harsh realization that the roster simply does not have enough depth. Cade gets universal praise as a playoff riser, while major questions remain around Jalen Duren, Ausar Thompson’s offensive limitations, and whether the Pistons need to swing big for a Giannis-level move.

Then, the Tigers segment turns bleak. Riley Greene, Dillon Dingler, Kevin McGonigle, and the (soon-to-be-traded) Tarik Skubal get some love, but the lineup cannot hit consistently, injuries continue piling up, and the boys debate whether Detroit should accept being a below-.500 team until the offense finally arrives. What is this team's long-term direction?

After that, the mood improves as the boys recap their Boston road trip. With almost no itinerary outside of baseball and walking around the city, the trip turns into an elite experience. Fenway Park lives up to the hype with the Green Monster, bullpen views, and old-school baseball atmosphere. Special shoutout to Drew for saving us.

Finally the episode closes with the Lions — Detroit’s final source of hope. The boys break down the 2026 NFL Draft, including why Blake Miller feels like a safe long-term tackle, Derrick Moore brings a needed pass-rush mentality, and Brad Holmes once again stuck to the organizational blueprint instead of chasing flashy moves.
