Our initial series, Pathways: ASBMR Stories of Discovery, is hosted by Dr. Michael Econs, Distinguished Professor at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Throughout this three part series, we speak with pioneers in discovery of FGF23. We explore dysregulation of FGF23 in renal failure, inhibiting FGF23 for treatment of XLH, and the interplay of FGF23 and iron.
Episode three features Dr. Myles Wolf—Professor of Medicine and Chief of Nephrology at Duke University—on the link between iron regulation and FGF23 regulation, what drove his interest in the area, and more.
