Hello Slovakia, ahoy, akosvamash. Really good to be here. Um when I see you guys as well, and I just think about what always comes to mind is the service that you guys are put in. It's usually the godfathers, but here we have the godmothers. These are the godmothers here of recovery. Because the early early members sometimes have to keep going when it feels like it's it's gonna end. Do you know what I mean? I think sometimes it just takes a bit of something you guys could tell them to say more. It just takes a bit extra sometimes to keep it going. So that always think about that before we come to Slovakia. So I guess it relates to the topic of no matter what, people have stayed here, no matter what, until people come. So it's an important topic. And I've seen people in your fellowship who haven't had meetings, they've had to channel to break as lava or go online. Do you know what I mean? But again, it's you can always find a way. If you're determined you want to get sober, there's always a way.
SPEAKER_01Musíte byť odhodlany to tak robiť.
SPEAKER_00That was really nice.
To bolo príjemné, milé.
SPEAKER_00The reality is that NA saved my life. There's no. It's not even questionable. That's just the reality. I just heard something can read and it just hit me. But at the same time, not get too overwhelmed with I'm experienced trauma and trying to try to make it like it's so heavy, because it's not, it isn't, it isn't. It felt like it, you know, using was my destiny.
SPEAKER_00So although I know how shit it was and how disgusted I was by it, as soon as somebody offered me a drug, I couldn't put my hand up quick enough. And I've never said no to any drug. It doesn't matter if it's glue, her it doesn't matter what it is. We're not going to talk about substances, but from the school substances, teenage substances, no, I've never said no to anything. Let's put it that way.
SPEAKER_01A aby som to skrátil, tak nikdy som nepovedal niečo žiadne látke, nebudem ich tu menovať.
SPEAKER_00So everything I learned in this program was just. It was so easy for me to absorb. You're powerless.
SPEAKER_00So I've not really had any problem with the concepts of recovery, they just seem so perfect.
SPEAKER_01Nikdy som nemusel bojovať s nejakými konceptmi toho uzdravovania a prišli mi úplne dokonale.
SPEAKER_00And self-pity was my it was like my badge of honor. Having people to feel sorry for me, oh my life of shit, this, that, and the other.
SPEAKER_00You've just got to not pick up the pick up, this is the only way you can succeed, really.
SPEAKER_00We've all got to share the same sort of problems, really. Mine are not special.
SPEAKER_00Like hurt, like you're having your skin ripped off. Just raw pain. Real pain.
SPEAKER_01Niekedy taká bolest, jakby by vám niekto zaživa, trhal koju stela. Fuck taká surová bolest.
SPEAKER_00Sometimes there's no, well no substance to take it away, no person to take it away. You know, you've just got to feel those feelings.
SPEAKER_01A vlastne jej telo proste vyplo. A vlastne to vlastne hovorím o tých následkoch môj bránne, že vlastne jedného človeka som dostal na starosť a ja som mi vlastne zničil život. Prešial som asi dvomi rokmi fakt z hlbokej depresie, keď som začal vlastne si uvedomať, že čo som vlastne spôsobil ľuďom okolo seba.
SPEAKER_00Even my neighbors, everyone. There was no exceptions.
SPEAKER_01A nikomu sa to nevyhlo.
SPEAKER_00But you know, the beautiful thing about recovery is just to be honest with yourself. You know, if you're at this moment in time a shit person, if you're disgusted with yourself, it's a good thing. That's a good thing.
SPEAKER_01Tak si proste nahovno človek, orou si všetky náhravné veci. To je vlastne dobré, že to priznať.
SPEAKER_00This is a program of action and change and courage. Please, God, give me the serverity.
SPEAKER_00It's like, God, please.
SPEAKER_00It's like being lost in the desert and trying to. I'm okay, I know where to go. It's like you know, you don't really, just gotta be honest.
SPEAKER_00This is not my message, this is just things I've learned in recovery.
SPEAKER_00I mean when I actually hear words like relationships and love and all these words I heard in recovery, I felt like I wanted to vomit. I mean, it's just anything good was just. It was nice to sort of hold her hand and speak to her and you know what I mean? Just behave like a normal human being. It was nice.
SPEAKER_01Fu pekné.
SPEAKER_00So no, it's the total opposite. We can really touch people's lives. You know, we can save someone's life by staying sober. That's why it's really important not to pick up, because we need someone to hold the flag. And if you want me to lay it out very simply, that's let's say that's rule number one. And rule number two, don't forget rule number one. This is probably something special, I think, in Sebakes. It's hard to put it into words. It's just a very um it's just like a loving fellowship, really. If people that do anything for each other, it's like it's quite unique. And a lot of it is about carrying the message. I mean, you know, if any of you get the opportunity, go to see Fazo in the prison. I've been there myself a couple of times, seen his beautiful paintings on the wall.
SPEAKER_01Okay, okay. Sorry, go ahead.
SPEAKER_00No problem. Go to peasinok if it's still going, I'm sure peasinok's still going.
SPEAKER_01Uh sure, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, go to pezzinok. Prednahore.
SPEAKER_01Prednahora, yeah. Just go in there. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Go out and do some service. That's what it's about.
SPEAKER_01Uh pezinok dúfam, že stela funguje a no funguje a prednahora, uhťa robte nejakú službu.
SPEAKER_00I really miss those places. And the people that we meet there.
SPEAKER_01A v ľudiach, ktoríli.
SPEAKER_00But you know, I would love to think I'm the most important person, but I'm not the most important person, it's a newcomer.
SPEAKER_00We need you to show up, we need you to speak, tell us where you're at. Let us love you. Do you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_01Dovolte nám milovať vás.
SPEAKER_00The newcomers are the most precious thing that we've got, and without newcomers, we haven't got anything. Because you know we need to keep carrying the mission of recovery. We need the meetings to keep going. We need to see ourselves again in a meeting. Just a remind as a reminder. I think stuff like gratitude, service, these things are so important in recovery as well. I don't want to just talk for the sake of talking, but I'm hoping there's something that you can kind of just hold on to.
SPEAKER_00So I'll just think all the only all else I can do is just send some love to Slovakia really. I think you can feel it through the screen. That's all I can really do.
SPEAKER_01Jediné, čo môžem naozaj poslať, teda urobiť a vlastne poslať vám nejakú lásku na slovenskú cestu obrazovku. Dúfam, že to môžete, že to cítite.
SPEAKER_00I'll leave it there. Thank you.
SPEAKER_01Thank you so much. A tu už to necham ďakujem. Díky Malt. Thank you so much.
