What happens when we face God's perfect moral law but fall short? Pastor Mark delivers a powerful message about the stark difference between natural laws and God's divine law—revealing how one has many penalties while the other carries a single, non-negotiable consequence: death.

Through a careful examination of Romans 3:19-20, Pastor Mark illuminates how the Mosaic Law serves not as a pathway to salvation but as a mirror reflecting our inherent sinfulness and desperate need for a savior. The Ten Commandments aren't merely rules but expressions of God's holy character—a standard of perfection humanity could never achieve alone.

At the heart of this message lies a profound truth: God has provided one command for our eternal security—approach Him solely through Jesus Christ. As Pastor Mark explains, "Don't approach me in your own goodness; you could never meet the demands of my perfection." Jesus stands as the only mediator between God and humanity, the perfect fulfillment of the law who offers us justification not through our works but through faith in His completed sacrifice.

The question Pastor Mark challenges every listener with is powerfully simple: How are you entering eternity? Will you represent yourself before God's perfect standard, or will you accept Jesus as your advocate? This isn't about religious exclusivity but about God's sovereign provision of one perfect solution to our universal, inherent problem of sin.

No Jesus - no God.

Know Jesus - know God.

Speaker 1:

Hey, there again to you Words of Life, listeners and viewers. I am Pastor Mark. In today's broadcast, we are going to talk about the law and one command. When we're talking about the law, you literally know that in the law of the land there are numerous penalties for breaking the law, but when we're talking about God's law, there is only one, and we are going to talk about the one command that God has set forth that can bring us safely into His presence while we live and preparing for our exit days. I want you to come back. We're going to talk about the law and this one command. I'll see you in a minute, okay.

Speaker 2:

We thank you for joining our Words of Life broadcast or podcast, where our mission is making God known for extolling Jesus, the Christ, as the sole hope for the eternal souls of humanity. We now join Pastor Mark for this week's Words of Life message.

Speaker 1:

We are back and we're so grateful that you have tuned in to this week's episode of Words of Life. Whether you're listening to the podcast or you're watching the broadcast, I always like to start off by saying, my wife and I, we really do appreciate you, because you could have been doing anything else, you could have been watching anybody else, but you have decided to listen to God's word through our ministry, and for that we thank you. We're going to start off. Before I start off with our prayer today, I'm going to ask that you turn, into your word of God, to the book of Romans, that's in the New Testament. You have Matthew, you have Mark, you have Luke those synoptic gospels and then you have Mark, you have Luke those synoptic gospels and then you have John, and then that fifth book is the book of Romans. So we're going to ask that you turn to the book of Romans, chapter three, before starting. Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, we thank you for your goodness, we thank you for your mercy, we thank you for your grace unto us. We know, lord Jesus, that the flesh accomplishes nothing, but it is your spirit, your spirit alone, that gives eternal life. And so we are asking, father, god, in the name of Jesus Christ, that everybody that's watching, everybody that's listening, we expect your spirit to move upon our hearts to give us the life eternally that we so need. We pray this prayer as we go forth in your word, in the name of Jesus. Thank you, holy Spirit, amen and that prayer. Hopefully that has given you a little bit more time to get to the book of Romans, chapter three, and I'm going to start reading at verse 19. I think I'm going to read two verses, verses 19 and verse 20, and I'll give you a second more of ad-libbing and you should be at Romans, chapter 3, verse 19 and 20. We're going to put the words up on the screen.

Speaker 1:

The Berean Standard Bible is the version that I'm going to read from, and our reading is as follows Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore, no one will be justified in God's sight by works of the law, for the law merely brings awareness of sin. May the Lord add a blessing to those that heard, those that read, but, most importantly, those that intend to do, by application, god's holy word. The title that I would like for us to consider for this message is the Law and One Command the Law and One command. When we're talking about the law, if I elaborate, I'm going to talk about natural law as well as mosaic law. We know that in the Old Testament as the Ten Commandments, but I want to give us a quick overview, real quick, when I say the law and God's command, the law. Overview real quick when I say the law and God's command, the law, we know natural law, the laws of our land.

Speaker 1:

There are many penalties for breaking natural laws. You go through too many stop signs, you go through too many stoplights, you steal, you do certain things. There are many penalties for breaking natural laws. But we must understand there is only one penalty for transgressing God's law and that is death. There's only one penalty. I want us to get that before we go forward. Natural law, laws of the land, many penalties, god's law, you break one and we all have been guilty. You are guilty of all of them. That penalty is death.

Speaker 1:

And so let's elaborate because the law's role, when we talk about the law, particularly the Mosaic law in the Old Testament, it served as a standard of righteousness and it revealed humanity's sinfulness. And so the law. Look at it as God's character, his personality. We tend to look at the Ten Commandments and there's this entire hullabaloo about it going into schools and I'm going to touch on that but we talk about the 10 commandments and we're so used to saying do not do this, you don't do that, do not do not do that, and that's well and good. But we need to start looking at it as it is God's holy moral perfection. It is his character. We could never meet it, and so, while the law is good and holy, the law was never sufficient to make people right in God's eyes.

Speaker 1:

Mosaic law also is referred to as the law of Moses or the Torah. It refers to the laws and the stipulations given to the Israelites by God through Moses, as recorded in the first five books of the Old Testament that we know as the Pentateuch I can't say that the Pentateuch or the Pentateuch. I can't say that the Pentateuch or the Pentateuch and that law encompasses what we know as the Ten Commandments, and it also includes a vast array of other religious observances and legal codes for the Israeli people. Now, in Judaism, the Torah is considered a central text and it's a guide for life. But in Christianity, although the Mosaic law, it is seen as central text and it's a guide for life. That Mosaic law is important. It's important for its application to believers today. It is understood through the lens of Jesus Christ and the new covenant.

Speaker 1:

So let's start talking about the key aspects of the Mosaic law before we break down God's one command and we can differentiate between this one command and the Ten Commandments in this message. Ok, mosaic law came forth divine origin, from God himself. It is divinely revealed with God speaking directly to Moses on Mount Sinai. We know this as the Ten Commandments. It is a foundational part of the law and it outlined fundamental moral and ethical principles that the people were to follow. Now, these diverse regulations, the law included a wide range of stipulations concerning worship, concerning the social behavior of the people, concerning justice, purity and much, much more. Now the connection to Judaism is the Mosaic law is central to Jewish faith and practice and it provided a framework for religious observance and community life. But the Christian perspective we recognize the Mosaic law as part of God's word and we believe that Jesus came along and he fulfilled and he superseded the law and established a new covenant for those that believe on him, and this covenant is based upon grace and faith.

Speaker 1:

Now, understand again the law we can never meet it. The law, we can never meet it. Uh, we often say if you have broken one, you have broken all. If there's no such thing, oh, that's just a little lie, no doubt. Don't lie, don't steal, don't cut, don't desire something that's not yours, and it doesn't have to be. It can be a physical thing, it could be a talent, it could be anything you don't have, that somebody else has and you want it. You just you covet after it.

Speaker 1:

If you have broken one, you have broken them all, and so that's why it's very important that we understand no one will be justified by the law in God's eyesight, because if you're coming to him in your own goodness, your own work, I don't do this, I don't do that, I don't do this. That is exactly what God is going to judge us, by his perfect moral law. And so again, look at the law, look at the 10 commandments, look at all of these things, as this is God's character, this is God's perfection, this is God's holiness. He set forth this to let us know y'all are not going to ever be able to keep this. It's just revealing how sinful you are in your need for a savior.

Speaker 1:

The word of God says by is by one man. Sin impacted, infected the entire human race by that one sin of Adam, but now, because of Jesus, by one man. We now is the new covenant that saves us if we would accept. Jesus paid it all for me. He fulfilled the law, not that we have the license to go forth and to break the commandments. I don't want anybody thinking that there is no license to sin. Just because grace abounds, do we just go forth and okay, I'm good? No, god forbid. Where grace abounds, we do not have a license to sin.

Speaker 1:

And so Jesus came along. He affirmed the importance of the law, but emphasized this deeper meaning in its spiritual intent clarifying, reinterpreting specific laws. And Jesus alone. He's the only one that came along and he fulfilled the law perfectly. Jesus's life was without sin. Jesus's death was sacrificial for us. He defeated death because this same Holy Spirit that God has in his believers today, christians, this same Holy Spirit is alive today in us. But he raised Jesus from the dead. Jesus is sitting at the right hand of the Father, interceding on our behalf right now. So, with Jesus fulfilling the purpose of the Mosaic law, salvation is now available and a new relationship with God is now available. But we have to understand this. And now we're starting to tiptoe towards that command in the title the law, the 10 commandments and one command. Since Jesus satisfied God's requirement for breaking his moral law, that is, death.

Speaker 1:

The only command God has put forth for us, when we leave this earth to be secure eternally, is you're not coming to me, you're not approaching me by anybody else but Jesus, his son. I'm going to pause right there just so that that can. That can percolate on the back burner of the stove or in the coffee pot. I want us to think about that. God says don't approach me. In your own goodness, you could never meet the demands of my perfection. There was only one that could Jesus, and if we put our faith in him, we put our trust in him. That command yeah, we're supposed to love one another, but God starts changing our hearts so that we have the ability to do so.

Speaker 1:

But the one command. When we're thinking about the law and one command, don't get tripped up by Ten Commandments and various other things we could never master. It doesn't give us a license to go do it. But what I'm saying is, as we prepare to leave our earthly existence, going towards eternity, the one command is Jesus, I am the way, I am the truth. No man comes to the father but by me. Salvation is found in no other name but Jesus.

Speaker 1:

Understand this one command God has put forth. You know, we wouldn't let our babies go to the stove and then just keep putting their hands over into the fire. If they do it one time, we're warning them, we're smacking that hand, we're touching that, that pamper bottom, and smacking it, letting them know look, you can't do that, you're going to hurt yourself and God is basically in his love. You know, I'm a grandparent, you do things like that with your grandchildren, but God in his love is doing the same thing for us. Don't approach me without doing it via the one command, the one person I've put forth. That can make you good in my eyesake, just as if, justified as if, just as if you had never sinned. You better be coming through Jesus and Jesus alone, and I hope that clears up.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes people think, well, christians are being dogmatic and y'all just why you got the only way. No, we don't have the only way. Jesus is the only way, because God said he was the only way. And I'm prayerful that Holy Spirit touches somebody's heart that's listening or watching the broadcast or listening to the podcast. God, I hope it makes sense and I know that only Holy Spirit can make it make sense.

Speaker 1:

But the command, the commandments, the 10 commandments, the law, god's moral perfection, we could never meet it and I just want us to understand that there was only one penalty for breaking God's perfection, that is death. We get numerous penalties. You get numerous grace. They let you off sometimes and you were speeding. Sometimes the cops will come along and say, slow down, I'm going to write you a warning and they'll let you off. There are numerous penalties for breaking natural law that we got to pay. But you have to understand this breaking one of God's commandments, the law. There's only one penalty eternal death. And he said we did not have to go that far because Jesus has paid the price for us. And so again, the law, god's moral law, the commandment, it just grants us the knowledge of sin. That's the law's primary function.

Speaker 1:

According to our opening text, ain't nobody going to be justified in God's eyesight? Romans 3 and 20 is to bring knowledge of sin. You look at it like, oh, I'm guilty. You look at it like, oh, I'm guilty, oh, guilty, oh, my goodness, I'm guilty. Okay, think of God's law as his character, his personality, his moral perfection. That highlights humanity's inability to perfectly keep his law. Therefore, we need a savior, okay, and justification by faith is where Jesus comes along.

Speaker 1:

Paul argues that justification, or being declared righteous, comes through faith in Jesus Christ, not adherence to or trying to obey the law. I'm a good person, I don't do that. I don't do that. That's trying to adhere to the law. Jesus is a gift to us. He is God's grace. Okay, galatians 2 and 16, galatians 3 and 11, romans 3 and 20, they express the same idea that no one, not one person, will be justified by the works of the law in God's eyesight. This emphasizes that justification can only come by faith in Jesus alone. This teaching is extremely important for us to grasp, because without faith, not one person can please God. And so he says here's faith, here's my son, here's Jesus, here's the atoning sacrifice, here's salvation. And you don't have to worry about the law, the commandment. Jesus has paid it for us.

Speaker 1:

Natural law, the penalty for breaking natural laws. Again, again, we can have a wide range of penalties, just depending upon the severity of the offense and the jurisdiction you're in. I mean they can range from fines, you know, you can get community service, you can get imprisonment and in some cases you can get the death penalty. Beyond these immediate consequences, breaking our natural laws can lead to a criminal record and that can negatively impact future employment, housing, other opportunities. I just gave descriptions about breaking natural law. Now let's contrast the penalties of breaking natural law with the penalty for breaking God's law. Notice, I didn't say penalties, plural. When it comes to breaking God's law, the commandment, there is only one penalty assigned for breaking God's law, and this is just going to be repetitive throughout this sermon, because this is something that we just have to gain an understanding of.

Speaker 1:

When you break God's law, we deserve death law. We deserve death, not just physical death, eternal death, eternal separation and suffering with God not able to be accessed anymore. Genesis 2 and 17 God says the day you eat of that forbidden fruit, that tree right there, you shall surely die. And guess? You know that's just what Satan does. He lies to unbelievers to accept what God has already said. You know that can't be true. Why would God say that that can't be true. And he said that to Adam and Eve Genesis, chapter 3, verse 4 and 5,. Satan said surely, surely you won't die? And this is what Satan's lies about God's law in our eternity and the impact of us taking our time and neglecting and ignoring, or just nah, I'm not going to accept that.

Speaker 1:

You know God's word, surely? Yeah, it was written for a bunch of slaves and to keep them in order. And dah, dah, dah, dah-da-da-da. Some of those things just might be true, but eternally, this is the truth. God is reaching out unto us through his word.

Speaker 1:

And here comes Satan. You know that book is not any good. Do you really believe that? Do you really believe that dispensation has passed down? It's been changed? That's just like the devil and anything he can get us to do to sell our souls and we are eternally lost. That's what he does best.

Speaker 1:

But God has called preachers and teachers to stand up and to cry, has called preachers and teachers to stand up and to cry, cry aloud in the wilderness, like John the Baptist, you know. But Satan will say you know, come on, man, it's not a big deal. Nobody's perfect. You know them, christians, they being dogmatic, you know. And here's one I've heard. I cringed when I heard it. You know, nobody has exclusivity with God.

Speaker 1:

There are many ways to reach or develop a relationship with God. Sound effects, hit the brakes? No, there isn't. God has made it plain. Here is my perfection. I am holy. I am so far removed from humanity when it comes to holiness. God is perfect. So he gives the command and the law shows us. Wow, I'm a long way from that. I can't meet that. Yeah, I've lied. Yeah, I wanted something that wasn't even mine. Man, I deserve immediate death. Don't let nobody fool you, especially Satan. And the problem with Satan's lies is all of us approach eternity. Is this God's law and his repercussive demand of death? That's non-negotiable. Don't let Satan or anybody fool you that it's a negotiable thing. I can negotiate that. There are many ways to God. No, there are not.

Speaker 1:

Natural laws broken have a wide range of penalties, but God's law broken has only one and again I'm going to be repetitive in this sermon it is non-negotiable. Breaking God's law is death, physically, spiritually, eternally. And the only way that the deserved penalty of a guilty humanity can be appeased by the perfection that God's law demands is to accept the only requirement that he is requiring, the one command he has given us. Of all of the commandments, here's a command Approach God solely through Jesus, to avoid being judged by the holy perfection of his law or character. The Ten Commandments. Jesus alone is the only perfect propitiation that satisfies the guilty death sentence which every human deserves.

Speaker 1:

John 14 and 6,. Jesus answered I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. There is no other approach to God but through Jesus, and that's something that we have to understand. Acts 4 and 12, salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved and again being saved. That indicates that judgment is necessary and our only options will be damnation or salvation.

Speaker 1:

First. Timothy 2 and 5, for there is one God and there is one mediator between God and men the man Christ Jesus, the man's of God's law. These demands we could never meet. They require a mediator. They require an arbitrator, a go-between, a symbolic spiritual lawyer who will get every sinful charge we have committed against God's law. He will get them dropped by interceding on our behalf, and this is what Jesus alone has accomplished for those of us that believe in him.

Speaker 1:

Romans 8, chapter 33, verses 34 as well. They say this who will bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is there to condemn us, for Christ Jesus, who died and, more than that, was raised to life, is at the right hand of God and he is interceding for us. Hebrews, chapter 7, verse 25. Jesus is able to save completely those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to intercede for them. And that is Jesus saving completely.

Speaker 1:

With every sinful act, every accusation, every charge that we are guilty of breaking God's perfect law, it's been dropped only because we accept that we need Jesus to be given this opportunity to draw near to God. First John, chapter two, verse one my little children, I'm writing these things to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, if anyone does break God's moral law, we have an advocate before the Father, jesus Christ, the righteous one. The law of God convicts us of sin daily, but if we can admit our guilt, jesus acts as our advocate and intercessor before God, who sacrificed himself by taking the sins of humanity upon himself, just as if we never sin, just as if we have been just as if ie just justified. We have been justified because of what Jesus accomplished for us.

Speaker 1:

Now let's go back. Let's backtrack to our opening scripture, romans, chapter 3, verses 19 and 20. Every mouth will be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore, no one will be justified in his sight by works of the law, for the law merely brings awareness of sin. In other words, everyone that depends on their goodness, their works, their abilities. You are being held accountable and God is going to judge you strictly by his perfect law. That's why no one will be justified in his sight by the works of the law. If you come to him any other way, you come to him in your goodness. You come to him without Jesus. That is what you will be judged by God's perfect law that we are guilty of transgressing. This includes the entire world, and we live in one of two realms. You're going to be judged by God's perfect law or by Jesus's act of love for humanity on a brutally rugged cross that we have been given the opportunity to accept.

Speaker 1:

John 3, chapter 16 and 17,. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that everyone who believes in him in Jesus shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Don't miss that phrase save the world through Jesus alone. And here's where the penalty for declining God's perfect gift Jesus. Without him we perish Condemnation, damnation. But God would. Instead of condemnation and damnation, god would that we accept salvation.

Speaker 1:

There will not I'm going to be repetitive, there will not be one human being that goes before God on our appointed judgment day. We will not be justified in his sight by attempting to meet the demands of his perfect law. God's law demands perfection. He is perfection, he is holy. But humanity is incapable of perfection and inherent holiness. But if that's what we're entering and approaching eternity with, if that's what we're approaching God with our own attempts at perfection, so be it. God is going to judge that person accordingly and give that person what humanity deserves spiritual, eternal death and separation from his perfect presence. But eternal separation from God while incurring eternal damnation. It can be avoided by acknowledging, then accepting, that Jesus alone did what no one else ever could.

Speaker 1:

Second Corinthians, chapter 5, verse 21. The verse says for God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. First, john, 3 and 5,. But you know that Christ appeared to take away sins and in him there is no sin. Romans, chapter 3, verses 21 through 26,. But now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been revealed, as attested by the law and the prophet. They told us about this coming Jesus, and this righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ. To all who believe. There is no distinction, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Galatians, chapter 3, verse 13. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree, as the sermon concludes.

Speaker 1:

My friend, I do not have three applicable points to convey today, because I only have one urgent query, one command that God will hold everyone accountable for. Here's the query how are you entering eternity? Are you representing yourself without a lawyer advocating for you, believing that your life's efforts qualify you to approach the judge before he pronounces judgment? Judgment, or have you acknowledged the fact that, lord, I am an inherent sinner? I don't have to think long to think about everything I've done and I'm in need of the only one qualified, who met the demands of your perfect law. Is that you? Are you willing to acknowledge that today? Are you willing to accept and believe that God has given you and me Jesus as the only way to approach him, that's now and for eternal salvation? There are not many ways to God, there is only one. God has the right to set that mandate forth. He's done it, whether you believe it or not. And finally, are you willing to confess, acknowledge, believe and confess everything that I've said to you? Would you confess this publicly and then share this same Jesus that I've shared with you today, with those who will perish under the weight of God's perfect law?

Speaker 1:

Without Jesus Understand, my friend we cannot achieve righteousness. We will not be declared righteous by God through obedience to religious laws or good works alone. Our opening text told us no one will be justified, just as if we had never sinned by our own efforts. It's not happening. The purpose of God's laws, the purpose of the commandments, was to reveal how perfect he is and how imperfect and sinful that we are. My friend, we need a savior before our appointed day, before his throne that we are all going before once we exit planet Earth. Once we exit planet Earth, hebrews 9, 27 and 28 warns us just as a man is appointed to die once and after that to face judgment, so also Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many, and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin but to bring salvation to those who eagerly await him. We must understand, listener or viewer, our justification.

Speaker 1:

Our being declared righteous is a gift received by faith in Jesus Christ alone. By faith in Jesus Christ alone, jesus is the perfect embodiment of God's law and he is the sole means of hope for the eternal souls of every human being. That's only if you will accept him into your hearts today and it is my prayer that you have acknowledged, lord, I'm a sinner. You believe upon Jesus that God doesn't want us to perish, but he wants all to come to repentance, but it's only happening through Jesus alone, and then confess that publicly. If you're willing to do that, my prayer is you have done that while we have spoken and while I prayed that short prayer. If you want me to pray it with you you don't know how to get in touch with Jesus, send me an email. It's just as simple as Lord. I acknowledge, I believe and I confess in Jesus and Jesus alone, meeting the perfect demands of your law, saving me from what I really deserve, and I'm putting all of my trust in Jesus. That was it right there. So rewind. If you didn't get it, pray that humbly in your heart. God's got you and you are forgiven. Well, to my listeners, to my viewers, as I get ready to prepare to conclude this week with our song of a week. I'm running out of time, but a few reminders for our broadcast viewers or our podcast listeners, you all. I am so excited about the grace God has given unto my wife and I.

It's me again, my God.

Speaker 1:

You created me. You know everything about me. You searched my heart from afar to see if I'll keep up the guard or run to you for help. You know my rising up and my sitting down. You live within me and still surround you, formed before I came from mother's womb, not a minute late, nor did I arrive a minute too soon. Time is temporary, so that I will be, because my forever with you is eternally so in spirit and the truth.

Speaker 1:

It's me again, cause you know me through and through. It's me again, cause you know me through and through. It's me again, even when I'm misconstrued. It's me again. It's why I'm calling out to you. It's me again, my God. I am a woeful sinner saved only by your grace. I can imagine, but I can't picture the glory of seeing your face. Angels cover their eyes, so I'd best recognize that hope is the essence of you. And lest I forget how exalted you are, their feet must be covered too. Though the enemy roams, there's me, let alone coping with snares that surround. But in confidence I seek, because in every defeat your grace much more abounds. So, spirit in the truth, it's me again, cause you know me through and through it's me again.

Speaker 3:

Even when I'm in control, it's me again. It's why I'm calling out to you.

Speaker 1:

It's me again, my God. Only you alone can perfect every issue that to this day concerns sinful me. Your loving kindness and your patience, my God, they mean more than this life to me. It endures forever, your love that is. You can't forsake the work of your hands that I am. Before you command it, let there be. You anointed me for your playing so, and spirit in the truth, it's me again.

Speaker 1:

I must admit this thorn in my side erases sinful pride. A heart I miss, like the betrayal of a kiss, is why I might not abide in your midst, creating me a clean heart cause. Today I'm here, laying at your feet. Where do I start? When enveloped by dark, on the days, I feel like defeat, without you, what's sin? It feels like whack-a-mole. They pop up, but this show ain't a game. Victory now, but tomorrow comes and I'm stumbling back in the same. So, spirit in the truth, it's me again, cause you know me through and through. It's me again Cause you know me through and through. It's me again, even when I'm in control. It's me again. It's why I'm calling out to you. It's me again, my God.

Speaker 1:

Everybody's blessed. But am I the only best? Because the heart you search and you see Blessed and favored, is cool. But I'm kind of confused because I'm struggling in reality. There are days I want to cuss and even scream, but trials perfect these temporary things With no condemnation. Relationship is based on you being the one, not me being my very best For when I confess my sin you are the faithful one.

Speaker 3:

So, in spirit and the truth, it's me again, cause you know me through and through. It's me again. It's me again, even when I'm in control. It's me again. It's why I'm calling out to you.

Speaker 1:

It's me again, my God, with expectation from the promise keeper. I want to know what you have in store. But with every wish and your will for me, why am I always at war? Can't catch a break? Even in my dreams I toss and I turn because I fight. But when I sleep, your thoughts of me, they outnumber the stars at night, when I feel barren and naked to the world, like you didn't clothe me in righteousness, can I feel your embrace, encased in your arms, just to give me some peace and some rest and spirit and the truth.

Speaker 3:

It's me again, cause you know me through and through. It's me again, even when I'm in control. It's me again. It's why I'm calling out to you. It's me again. It's why I'm calling out to you.

Speaker 1:

It's me again, my God, your love for me, unconditional as I am temperamental, but I'm still relying on you. Not one good thing you withhold if I'm just devoted to Trust you, love you, obey you and walk with you, talk to you, listen to you praise you and worship you, lord.

Speaker 3:

Where else could I go? I might not know much, but this much I surely know. So, in spirit and the truth, it's me again, cause you know me through and through. It's me again, cause you know me through and through. It's me again.

Speaker 1:

I know that you're not finished with me. So, lord, what would you have me to do? I thank you for brand new mercy, which would start every day anew. Want to stand, but I fall because I realize my dependency upon you and all that you expect from me light or salt. Help me to pursue Every step, every breath. How dare I predict the day, morning, noon or sleepless night? It's you who lights my way and spirit, and the truth.

It's me again. My God, oh Lord, hear my prayer, my plea is I approach you every day Because it's and I know I'm in need, bearing my heart before judgment day. I know you're risen and thinking of me, but sometimes I don't understand, so I'm leaning on my faith alone.

Speaker 3:

Lord, it's just me again. Take my hand, help me stand, lord, it's me, me again.
