Unknown: thank you guys for the constant encouragement. This message that I've been working on It's the idea of fear. And I kind of want to just touch on that just just a little bit, because a lot of times, man, we are fearful of so many different things. I mean, we hate to be the one that tries our best and go for it all. And then when we come up short, it is so many people that can laugh at us and be like, Oh, you tried your best, you tried your best, but things didn't work out. And that feeling sometimes can get very, very overwhelming to the point where you don't want to try it. You don't want to try to reach your full stature in your full potential. I mean, we see so many folks in the sports world that used to be just gangster on the court, man, the biggest strongest guy on the field. That tough is quick is athlete. But again, it was always that fear of them just not wanting to be great. And I just want to make sure that the folks that listen to me, the folks that follow some of the stuff that I'm doing is don't don't be afraid to be great. You know, we only get one chance at this. We only get one chance at just one chance at greatness. And I think a lot of times we let other factors stand in the way of our greatness. And so you've got to try your best to get over those hurdles of other people's opinions, because we talk about a lot of times made you got to win to prevent victory first. The things that you do when folks are not watching those things count the most. You know, so, so many different times called the the the unseen hour or you know I just remember back when I was in college, it was always just being able to go in to the arena or going to a gym and get up shots, not even knowing if the coaches were watching or if somebody had eyes on you at any point in time. But they gave you the confidence to to just know that, you know, the ball might get swung your way, you might have an opportunity to do something great. And at the end of the day, when you reach that, let's say you make the layup, you make that free throw, you hit that jump shot. Knowing that you put that working, I think that's one of the best feelings that a person can can just have, because at the end of the day, you know, you work toward something to achieve something. And then you saw the result of that. But yeah, don't don't never let no one block you from from just your greatness. So that's kind of what some of the things that I want to touch on is it's funny because we've all been in those situations and I like to think back again doing my high school phase. During my college phase, it was always a time where, you know, I always just had a knack for just mad, just working hard. And it was just the love and just having fun at doing some of the things that I was doing that I didn't look at it as work. But then it came a point where I had to make a decision and make sure that the decision was, is this something that I really, really want to do? If it's something that I really, really want to do, I can have. Coach and wonder saying is your heart into it? Family members in another saying. Is your heart into it? Outside chatter going around? Is your heart into it. If I was stinking up the gym. If I wasn't working or if I wasn't dedicated myself to. I mean, the game that I love. Why would I waste folks time? I didn't want to be known as as a as a time waster if basketball wasn't the thing that I wanted to do during that time. I'm okay with just trying to try something new, but they have something in the back of my head. Started clicking really around in the head to be like around 19 or 20 years old. So I said, Man, I only get one chance at this. Why am I playing around? You know, there is nothing back at home. My buddies and my friends where we're going in so many different directions. Why don't I just give it my all and get one supreme effort? Because I never wanted to be known as that person that has so much game and so much promise. But the tragedy of someone not reaching a full potential. I didn't want to be known as that person. And if somebody was out there that's listening that you going through that right now, just understand again, it starts with you. Take an honest, hard look in the mirror. Making sure that you're honest with yourself and not putting it on nobody else. And just making sure that, hey, this is what I want to do. I'm working on it. And just give yourself a time limit. Say I'm I dedicate three months to just going as hard as I can and just hopefully just let something fall where it may, you know? It's going to be a frustration stage probably going through it because again, you're going to see folks probably doing certain things. You're going to doubt yourself. You're going to constantly do that, but just give yourself time and just make one supreme effort and try something. Is nothing wrong with it. We're not saying give it, give your life, give five years to trying to do something. But some people may have a five year plan. But at the same time, just give yourself a small, digestible time limit to say, Hey, I'm going to try this, I'm going to give you more, and then just see what happens. But I'd never want folks to get discouraged and never want folks to to just be fearful of just being great. I don't know. I don't know mediocrity. I just I've never been the person to just settle for that. And I look at so many different things that we're blessed to have. I mean, we're we get up every day with the activity of our lives. Some of us have food in the house. We have clothes on a bag where so many different things that we're blessed for. That, again, three months, couple of weeks, a month to month two, just giving it your all. It's not going to it's not going to hurt. You know, you got so many people right now that are already now starting to think about what the New Year's resolutions are going to be. The New Year's resolutions are start right now which you changing everything that you thought about doing and just just getting started it you know not being fearful of the failure now let and again now letting the people just chime in on you and laugh at you and say, oh, you tried your best and you didn't you didn't reach it. Hey. It's like you've never had a dream, you've never had a go to try to go after. So, yeah, so I just wanted to kind of just touch on that again just a little bit. We're talking about. Being fearful or not being fearful. So many different trials and tribulations that we go through trying and trying to overcome those things. Just start with the man in the mirror. It starts with the woman in the mirror I think about. Show my class. And it was funny because, you know, you ask the kids all the time who's who's the biggest artist in the world right now? And instantly, right away, a young boy, this person, that person. And I said, Na Na, who's the biggest artist in the world right now? And and you can argue that maybe a Taylor Swift. A Beyonce, a a Drake those those people cross over all general genres of music even if I don't know now one Taylor Swift's album. But I know she's huge right now. Some of Beyonce songs I know because, you know, is is pop music. She got some hits. But even Beyonce, his name is even just bigger than some of her music. And then Drake, I mean, just can't miss hit after hit after hit. Short stop. And he's he's our modern day, you know it, boy, right? So when I asked them, I said, okay, do you guys have you guys ever heard of the biggest selling album of all time? And a lot of them kind of know of Michael Jackson in Michael Jackson's Thriller. So I have them do the research and I look up Thriller and tell me how many albums that sold. Once they come back with, Tell me how many albums is sold, I say, All right, now, at the time and at the height of this person's career, Michael Jackson. Hit after hit song. Everybody knew who this person was worldwide. Okay. 37 million copies. He made a controversial video. All right. So if you were following MTV around 87, 88, some people, some of the channels played Man in the Mirror. Some channels decided not to play Man in the Mirror. I'm old school Betty video, so MTV Countdown, all of those different things. I never remember Man in the Mirror being on any top ten requested video. They didn't even want to show some of the footage in the video. And I said, imagine being the biggest selling audience at the time and having a controversial video where you're talking about social issues, hunger, protests, poverty, racism, police brutality, you know, people walking out on jobs, religious issues. All of those things were captured in Man in a mirror. So after all of those things are captured at Man in the Mirror, I had them recite some of the lines and some of the lines basically say, it starts with you. You know, do you want to try to change the world? But have you tried to change yourself? You want to try to change family members, but have you changed? You want to try to change. Different people. But have you tried to change yourself? So that pretty much was the notion of making sure. Hold on. All right. I had to switch locations, but. But again, what are we talking about? We just talking about just not being fearful of just going forward. Going forward? Oh, like making sure that. You live with no regrets. And that's just one thing that I just wish that a lot of folks that. That may be just kind of being a slump right now or just kind of in this in a place where you don't really know what the next step is going to do or what the next step will actually get you or get you towards. But at the end of the day, just try not to not live with regret. You know, if it's something as small as, you know, wanting to just start a again, a podcast, wanted to just start a YouTube channel or YouTube video. There's so many people out there that can just make so much good content. And I watch you. I mean, whether it is from reels or different things on Instagram and Facebook. Somebody out there got something that they can give to somebody that I guarantee that it can be the key to that can help that person out in the long run. But you never would know if you don't try to give it a one supreme effort and try something is out there. Somebody with a cold exercise workout, they see a result, they know exactly what to do. And those results and that advice and that encouragement can possibly help somebody else. So you just probably sit on something that can be very, very, very beneficial to someone else. It might be a recipe. It might be a business idea that you have that you really never sat down and just say, you know what is no way that I can do there. No way I can accomplish that. But you would never know if you if you didn't try one supreme effort. I look at a lot of my buddies out right now in the in the in the restaurant business in the coaching business is for store and youth teams and doing different things like that in the brand business is clothing lines and different things that you see so many people that where you may feel like it's far fetched that you can't get to that man. They once they start and they get on top of it, man, there's no looking back. But don't be discouraged. You know, it's just one of those things that you just you got to get going and get up on it and do it. Try to not live with the the the fear of failing. You know, it may not work out, but you would never sit back and look at yourself and say, damn, and I wish I wish I would have did. I wish. I know. I'll give it a try. Is nothing like giving it a try. Because again, like I said, you never really know what can come from this. Okay. From a high school coaching standpoint. You may be an assistant coach somewhere and you may be looking at your situation as if man is is never going to be how it is when I'm viewing other teams or viewing other schools. Everybody got to start somewhere. Everybody got a story somewhere, I think, about my journey to, you know, I call the drinking toilet water. A lot of times those are the things you're going to have to do after a while to get to the point where you can sit back and you can look and say, man, I've built something. You know, I've accomplished something of went for it, or maybe it didn't work out. And I think I talked about this on my last broadcast. Maybe it didn't work out, but you stay with it. You stay with it. You gave yourself a time limit. You said within two or three years, if I can't reach this point of do this point to to get to here, then maybe, you know, it's time for me to to do something else, but don't live with the fear of not even trying not even try to give it a. To give it a chance. So, yeah, I just wanted to make sure that you continue to hold yourself accountable, have somebody else around you that can hold you accountable. They can can keep you on the right track and in the right state of mind. Always again. You don't want to have that person around you. That's the person is laughing because you failed and not reach your goal. You want to have that person around you at the moment you think you're about to fall off. He or she is right there with you. Like, Come on, we got to get to it. Come on, dust. Dust shows off. Come on. This. It's time to get right back to it. You know, you want to have people around you like that. So those are the things. Like I said, I just want to make sure that we was able to kind of just touch on. I want to make sure I'm continuing to put out good content, shout out to all of the people who download it and subscribe and you know, watch. The old video gave me some feedback of for me reaching the the third milestones and I'm reaching. We was able to reach with the brand turn a basketball podcast number one on the overseas chart and I think we were in the top 30 of another one and we beat out some, some great podcasts that have made a huge budget that again, I'm not I'm sitting around thinking like, how did I even get on there? But at the same time, I know somebody is out there listening. I'm encouraging the next person. I may be encouraging the next person to get on the microphone to start their own show. So shout out to all of the people that that, you know, continue to support, to continue to give me encouragement to keep this thing going. Because at the end of the day, this is very therapeutic for me. And again, I want to be able to be known for for something giving something to some folks that there's something positive and not not nothing negative. Okay. Always remember to be grateful for every sunrise and be thankful for every sunset is video is powered by Seatgeek and is also going to be powered by Amazon. I got some great things that I have coming down the pike pertaining to my Amazon store front that I will try to get out information on all my social media accounts within the next week or two because holiday season is coming up. And I want to be able to provide the listeners out there with, you know, some type of. Some type of residuals for for just supporting the support in the machine. So thank you, guys. Appreciate you for your time. Make sure you like and subscribe to the channel again. Be grateful for every sunrise and thank every sunset. Take care.
