The Orthopreneurs Podcast with Dr. Glenn Krieger
What does it mean to become an Orthopreneur? Hi there! My name is Dr. Glenn Krieger and I believe that in today’s competitive world, the orthodontic and dental communities should be collaborative. And I've created Orthopreneurs so that we can move towards that goal together. Orthodontists are smart people. You’ve accomplished a lot to get where you are, but chances are you never got a formal education in how to run the most effective and lowest stress practice possible. Don’t sweat it! Because we’ve got your back... Being an Orthopreneur means that you’re a part of a community. A community that brings peers together to become the best clinicians and the best business owners they can be. Becoming an Orthopreneurs means you never ever need to practice alone. Why You Can’t Skip the Hard Seasons in Life or Practice | 5MF
In this week’s Five Minute Friday, I open up about a recent injury—ACL tear, tibial fracture, and torn meniscus—all discovered after I finished competing in a major Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament. But this episode isn’t about sympathy. It’s about acceptance. Because just like seasons, hardship is a non-negotiable part of growth—in life, in leadership, and especially in orthodontics.
You don’t get to pick only the victories and skip the failures. You don’t get spring without winter. Whether your practice is struggling to hit monthly goals, you're recovering from personal loss, or you're simply tired of grinding—this episode is a heartfelt reminder that attitude does affect altitude. If you can face the hard days with perspective and resilience, you’ll come back stronger every time.
QUOTES
“Every year there’s been a spring, followed by a summer, then autumn, then winter. You don’t get to say, ‘I’ll take 3 springs, 2 summers, and no winters.’ Life doesn’t work that way.”
— Jim Rohn
“Attitude affects altitude. You can’t control what happens to you, but you can control how you respond.”
— Captain Dennis Fitch
