EP 17 brings us one of our favourite guests to date, dual AFL premiership defender, Josh Hunt.
Drafted in 2000, Josh played 212 games across his career, predominantly at Geelong with a season to wrap things up at Giants, before moving up to the Sunshine State to take on a coaching role with the Brisbane Lions Academy.
Now in true Josh style, he’ll no doubt undersell himself, but to consistently hold a position in a backline filled with names like Scarlett, Milburn, Harley, Enright and co is a testament to the player that he was (and still is). There is no one more humble and nonchalant, but to go along quietly in one of the great modern football teams is quite the achievement.
Ryan and I are now fortunate enough to call Josh a teammate and speaking personally, across my many years in footy, Josh is without question the best on-field communicator I have come across.
This episode is filled with some great stories about what life was like at the Cattery in the halcyon days, so if you are a football person, you will find yourself enthralled in our longest WLP episode to date. Relax though, if footy is not totally your thing - there’s still plenty outside of Aussie Rules that we cover.
We hope you enjoy this as much as we did!
