The fellas are kicking off 2024 with a fresh episode of nothing but banter. Today, Sonny and Tom discuss the controversies behind the recent Oscar nominations, including their thoughts on who was robbed and who was wrongfully nominated. Then they discuss Arnold's recent legal trouble, which saw him detained in a German airport. But there's more serious legal trouble in the air today, as Alec Baldwin was recently indicted for manslaughter. The boys discuss the murder case as well as Alec's wife Hilaria Baldwin and her bizarre fake accent. How does the man put up with it? Then again, we forge the chains we wear in life. The boys end with a cooldown chat about workplace mockumentary sitcoms, discussing which workplaces would make for good sitcoms and how Netflix cancels all their shows, for better or for worse.
There's also, of course, a juicy opening segment for you to enjoy. The hosts imagine what it would be like if Arnold Schwarzenegger took over Dustin Hoffman's Oscar-winning role in Rain Man. Could Arnold pull off the role of a so-called autistic savant? And would he still win an Academy Award? In retrospect, it's kind of insane that the role won an Academy Award in the first place. But this year could see America Ferrera win one, so anything can happen.
