An Oscar For Arnold
Action Stars vs. Real-Life Tragedies
Show Notes

The podcast hosts whom you've come to love are back to make sure you stop loving them with this particularly offensive episode of "An Oscar for Arnold". Sonny and Tom have created a list of action heroes and have decided, for no real reason, to determine what the largest real-life tragedy each action hero could prevent is. The boys study the movies of each action hero and try to pair them with a tragedy that best suits their skills and typical circumstances. Action heroes like Rambo, James Bond, and the Terminator are going head-to-head with tragedies such as the assassination of John F. Kennedy, Hurricane Katrina, and 9/11. Have you ever wondered which action hero could best handle the Iran Hostage Crisis? Wonder no more after listening to this episode. Sorry in advance.

There's also an opening segment in which the boys envision Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1980's "Raging Bull," for which Robert DeNiro walked away with an Academy Award. Needless to say, Arnold would be particularly well-equipped for such a role due to his sculpted body and tough demeanor. However, this opening segment will be quickly overshadowed by the offensive main segment that follows it, so you will quickly forget whether Arnold would win an Oscar if he took the role of Jake LaMotta.

Sit back, relax, and listen to Sonny and Tom remove their chances of ever running for public office. Again, we would like to apologize in advance. If you hate this podcast and its hosts after listening to this episode, we understand and we hate ourselves too.
