MLK's Beloved Community
Show Notes

In one of his more obscure speeches, "Birth of New Nation," on April 7th, 1957, at the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. preached about the need for a beloved community: a society where love, not hate trumps all things, where understanding and conversation take place. A world where we fight for equality and justice for all.

On this second episode of the GMCC podcast, host Jeffrey Bissoy spoke with GMCC staff members, Megan Young and Jess Roberts, chief financial officer at Optum, Selemon Asfaw, CEO and founder of Brother Justus, Phil Steger, and founder and managing director of Lyceum Partners, Reynolds-Anthony Harris,  about how they show up for their beloved communities.
