Michael Charles is one of the few political consultants of color in Seattle and Washington state. He is the managing partner of Upper Left Strategies, a public affairs and political consulting firm. He guided the successful election campaigns of state Senator Joe Nguyen and King County Council member Girmay Zahilay.
