Trust, Growth, And God Getting The Glory

C-Dub and Bones Season 6

Start the year with a clear compass: trust God, expand your borders with integrity, and let the results belong to Him. We open up about New Year's interactions with mentors who speak candid truth, the kind that confirms what God’s already stirring beneath the surface. Their words don’t try to be profound, yet they land with precision—often becoming signposts weeks later. That quiet confirmation sets the tone for everything else we cover: obedience over optics, patience over pressure, and courage that grows from a steady walk rather than a viral win.

We dig into a surprising story of growth. Without marketing or fundraising, the show found listeners in 91 countries and 591 cities, including unexpected traction across the Middle East. Along the way we learned about recapitulation—how some platforms batch-report plays—reminding us that impact often hides in plain sight until the numbers catch up. We also trace this rise alongside seasons of grief, from a father’s passing to the loss of a friend who helped spark the work. It’s not a formula; it’s a testament to how God meets us in weakness and turns honest offering into wider reach.

Looking forward, we share the projects we’re building to help you engage Scripture firsthand. Think practical tools that move you from consuming content to cultivating a life in the Word: read with a pen, record what you hear, and review it through an after-action lens to capture lessons from both success and failure. We explore how the Bible names today’s problems and offers durable solutions, including how to avoid the traps that success can set. The theme is simple and strong: stay faithful, pray, listen, and write it down. Let some words fall to the ground like seeds and trust God to raise them in season.

SPEAKER_00:

Hey everybody, welcome to another WoFo Yo short. This is C Dub. I'm not sure how short this short's going to be. It might be longer. It might be really short. Who knows? So, recording this on New Year's and New Year's Eve going into New Year's. I was doing what I've done for the last couple years, was hanging out over at Eagle's Nest Watch Ministries over in Carbondale, Illinois. It was great. They say iron sharpens iron. And it was great to see friends, uh, people that I respect, people that if my children told me that, hey dad, we started going over to church and we started to associate with these people. There's some people like uh Ernie and for Linda Newton or Dave and Rita Killian or Dan Blackshire or Willard and Carol McDonald. If I knew my kids were getting taught by them, I would be very happy and unconcerned as to how their spiritual well-being would be. So there's a level of trust there, and I guarantee you there's some other people that I'm forgetting. And that that was great, great experience. Great because when the Lord's sharing some things with you, I could have just talked about that in this short, but I ran it by bones, and he said, Yeah, let's let's talk about this. So that'd be coming up on Tuesday's episode. That being said, we know in part, we prophesy in part. And one of the things that's always good when I'm able to get together with some of those people that I trust that have spoken things uh into my life, and the thing that lets you know that it's the Lord is they don't know how profound it was. And they weren't trying to be profound, is the beautiful thing because they'll go, I have no idea what this means, but but I feel like God's saying this to you, and sometimes I'll know exactly what that means, and I just won't tell them because it's for me to know, they don't need to know. And other times I'll be like, I have no idea either. And then about three to six weeks later, something happened, or I'll be having a discussion, and all of a sudden it all comes back, and I'm like, oh, that's what you were saying. So always good to have friends that hear from the Lord. Uh, always good to have friends that will challenge you and encourage you to kind of push the envelope, if you will, in uh your zeal, in your sincerity, and maintaining your integrity in your relationship with Christ, as well as to use the biblical terminology, expanding your boundaries, expanding your borders. Once the Lord's established you in certain areas, uh obedience always being the key thing, expanding your territory, and going out and being willing to take risk to expand the kingdom in the name of Jesus. So it was good to have that. It was good to have that experience. Let me tell you this, 2026. I don't want to plagiarize or steal anybody's thunder, but I think 2026, you're gonna see God get the glory in a lot of situations, and man is not gonna get the glory because things that uh we in our flesh have wanted to uh to probably handle ourselves, I think you're gonna see some things fall apart at the seams by the grace of God because He's not gonna allow those things to stay put. And uh, however it happens, it happens. But I think a lot of times we want our version of vengeance and comeuppance, and maybe to even have the little ego stroke to say we prayed for that, and I think the Lord's getting ready to do some things this upcoming year, and it's not gonna be man gets the glory, it's gonna be all the Lord. Uh, you're gonna find out that a lot of things that people have been doing are just not sustainable, and you'll see the wheels fall off the bus as it's going down the road. Be that what it may, it's been a good year. I shared some things that, and you won't hear me talk about this a lot because this is all the grace of God. Some people were asking me over at the meeting uh yesterday and last night about the podcast, and you know, sent some links, sent some video links here, like we're doing on YouTube and uh as well as the audio links, and on the app of my hosting site, I went and checked, and here in the last two years, there has been significant growth. Uh look down yet as of New Year's Eve, uh, we had been listened to in 91 different countries and territories, uh, 591 cities worldwide. And we've never engaged in a marketing campaign. Ever. The number of listeners we get per episode is it's there, but it's we're we're reaching the right people. We've never asked for a dime, you know. The Lord's funding this, you know, there's a reason that Paul was a temp maker and he didn't want to ask for money, he wanted to be a blessing, you know. So that's kind of the way Bones and I do it. So let me just say this I can trace this growth back as far as listenership to two things that are just completely and totally unrelated in the natural. And I have no I have no idea why why this coincidence. I don't necessarily believe it is coincidence. I think God rewards faithfulness, but when we really started to grow was and get a lot of listenership, especially in the Middle East, in Islamic countries, and thank God the gospel of Jesus Christ is going into those countries, was when my dad was dying a couple years ago. And then the guy that was responsible for lighting the fire that got me to come out of the wilderness, he was the he was the pen that was poking the balloon that God was using to do that. You know, um, I had mentioned this year and a couple months ago. Uh my friend Michael Ward passed, and it was it's it's strange because as my dad was passing, all of a sudden we just started taking off. Um and then we were doing, you know, we were we were at a certain point, and then uh my buddy Mike was sick, and um it was fast, it was a matter of months. Um, and all of a sudden the listenership just goes skyrockets again. And then we started learning. I I also remember um Lawrence Nolan, Bishop Nolan, uh friend of the program, friend of mine, him and his wife, uh Jolene are just um they're friends and as sincere as can be. And if he says something or his wife says something, I pay attention. I remember one of the things that uh that brother Lawrence said is this, brother, you're gonna find out that there are a lot more people listening to this than what your statistics are showing. And that was three years ago. And so one of the things we started noticing this year was especially around the end of the month, we would have these spikes in listenership. And at first, Bones and I, we were talking about, man, what's going on with this? And it would be double to triple our listenership for a month would be in one day. And we found out, um, asked some tech friends of mine, they go, Oh, here's what's going on. It's called recapitulation. So they're not recording all the numbers uh that are listening to you all, but it's catching up on a report at the end of the month, and it's all showing up in one day, called it recapitulation. So there you go, Brother Lawrence. He was right. So just want to thank you all. There's some exciting stuff coming up in 2026. Um, Bones and I have gotten together, we've discussed some ideas about some things we'd like to see happen by the end of the year, see if we can make that happen. Um, we'll have to put our nose to the grindstone to make some of these things happen, you know, and it's always going to be by the grace of God and his timing. Um also, let's not lie, to make those things happen, uh, both him and I are going to have to do some homework and uh do a little bit of digging, soul searching, praying, listening to the Holy Ghost, and getting in the word for ourselves as well. If we're able to succeed and get this, get some of the projects done that we were talking about and really have some confirmation by the Lord that these things need to get done. Um, they've been ideas for a couple years now, but I think this is the year that we need to make that push and get it done. If we're if we're able to do that, it will definitely be tools to help you get in the word for yourself. And not only that, but to be able to record your journey. And rather than just listen to C dub and Bones on any given day, be some things to help you track your progress and your relationship, as well as your failures and the lessons you learn from your failures, your after after action review, if you will, um but but as well as how that's helping you to grow. Never be afraid of failure. Be afraid of letting failure remain failure and not learning the lesson. But it's a new year. Happy New Year. We are looking forward to some exciting things, and just want to encourage you to get in the word for yourself, and it is amazing how often you will see the problems and situations and scenarios that are present in our current society in the Bible. You can find real similar situations. You will see how God deals with that. So that book, that Bible, God's Word, will not only define the problem, but it will give you the solution, and it will also show you the failures of some of the people uh that succeeded and give you uh some trappings to avoid in the success because success can test you just as much as failure will. So I want to encourage you first of all, just stay faithful to the Lord. Get alone with him, develop that relationship, read your word, get out your pen and pad, write down what the Lord is saying. It's there. The Lord will give you the word, but you got to be willing to let set that thing aside and let it die. Trust in it, in faith, trust what the Lord gave you, and then when it's the opportune time, he's gonna bring it back and go, see what I was telling you. I've been with you, I've been guiding you, you're mine, and I've got you. So, folks, saddle up. It's gonna be a very fun and interesting ride this year, but never forget that God is on the throne, Jesus is Lord, Christ is King, and let the Holy Spirit lead and guide your hearts. Wofoyo.
