Brace yourself for a whirlwind adventure as Sarah and Panic, unfold tales from a Montreal winter wonderland and segue into the musical stylings of Sho Hirano, Yuta Jinguji and Yuta Kishi. Our latest episode peels back the layers of Number_i's fresh mini-album "GOAT," teasing the variance of sound from the new entertainment company TOBE.

Embarking on a sonic exploration, we delve into the conundrum of fresh yet familiar tunes from these artists. "Is it Me" and "Midnight City" stand as testaments to their heritage while paving the way for new rhythms that resonate with our very souls. We're left pondering the enigma behind their streaming figures and the regional variances in their musical embrace. Moreover, we're scratching our heads over why certain melodies, like the infectious "Rain or Shine," haven't quite echoed through the streaming world as one would expect. Join us as we sift through the rich fabric of their fanbase and weigh in on the influence of nostalgia versus the thirst for the new.

To cap off our melodious expedition, we immerse ourselves in the bold artistry of "Fuji," a track that blends classical guitar with rap and hip hop elements to echo the grandeur of its namesake. We're talking about a declaration of independence in the industry, a fervent expression of freedom, and a confident stride into a new epoch for these daring artists. As we analyze the strategic track placement and the fervor it has sparked amongst fans, we invite you to tune in and experience this auditory revolution alongside us.

OK ASIA

Speaker 2

Hello , this is Panic and this is Sarah , and you are listening to Music , alixir a podcast between two friends discussing their favorite Asian artists in music . Welcome everybody to another episode of Music Alixir with me , Sarah and Panic .

Speaker 1

I was gonna do something and I was like Panic , Are you sure ? I gave it a little bit on ink .

Speaker 2

That was like a question Panic . Maybe Do I have an imposter with me , I'm not sure .

Speaker 1

Oh , some of these songs will give you that they won't be discussing Before we start the shenanigans and this very special episode which it was requested . Thank you , it was a challenge actually . Oh yeah , no right , it was a challenge . Some of you know , if you follow me on OK Asia , that I took a break and went to Montreal , into Canada , and that was fun and cold .

Speaker 2

Well , it's further north and it was right in the middle of the cold snap that we got . We'd been having really warm weather and then it was just two days of frigid cold While you were out there . I'm telling you that was just .

Speaker 1

Oh my God . You know we drove there Saturday morning , got there in the afternoon , went to a hockey game . After the hockey game , it was freezing rain . Oh , no , yeah we're like oh , mg , we walking on that slush and wind . It was awful . We got to the Airbnb like wet ducks yeah , but it was a nice , cute Airbnb , really really cute . So that Sunday morning we woke up to a photo snow , oh , wow .

Speaker 2

Yeah , I didn't know that . I thought it only snowed on the ride home . Lady .

Speaker 1

OK , so then that Sunday it was off and on snow . Off and on snow . I'm like , oh , I'm G Great .

Speaker 2

This snow .

Speaker 1

we didn't get in New England , now we get . I'm getting it up here and I'm thinking you know , when you go to spring break you're supposed to go warm . Why are we going up here ? We did the opposite . But then of course it's like the slowest time for for Canada because it's so cold . So there was like sales , there was no line on things . We went to the bio dome , which I love . I took pictures of everything reception of the bats because you can't take pictures , oh really . Well , it's dark in there .

Speaker 2

Oh OK , you don't want to freak them out , you don't have a .

Speaker 1

They have a special light for them . Ok , I can use a flash in your room no , no , no light , you know it's not the third the baddies , so , but everything else was awesome . I wanted to see the botanical gardens but they're closed or opening , supposed thing , in April because there's a seasonal thing . Yeah , definitely , so that means .

Speaker 2

I have to go back . You wouldn't see much under a foot of snow .

Speaker 1

So I mean , certain parts were open , which it was the , not indoors , it was the outside plants . Do they have greenhouses ? I don't know , because since it was closed , we didn't bother go over there . We just went to the bio dome and then we went shopping and bought some stuff which I got you something .

Speaker 2

Oh yeah , and I said you know I had a birthday gift for you and I looked right at it and then I left the house without it . So because everybody in case you didn't know panic just had a birthday .

Speaker 1

Yeah , that's why I went away and but yeah , the rest of the whiteout that it was happening on our way down in Vermont where we got stuck . Thank God the truck never turned over , yeah . It looked like it just slid and blocked all three lanes and they needed to wait for a tow truck to move it .

Speaker 2

Yeah , that's weird . I yeah there were two tow trucks because if it sort of spun out and just was blocking the highway , I don't know something else must have happened .

Speaker 1

I don't know how it landed , you know how it got . Maybe got wedged and he could come out . So that's crazy .

Speaker 2

Yeah , we were stuck there for three hours , yeah .

Speaker 1

And yeah , fun , fun . So , ok , that's my thing , my little vacation to Montreal . There was more stuff happening in there , but this episode is not going to be about Montreal , no .

Speaker 2

No .

Speaker 1

OK , so , as before my rant , as I said , it was a challenge . That's what Sarah said , and we are going to discuss number one don't , don't , don't .

Speaker 2

New album , mini album .

Speaker 1

Yes .

Speaker 2

Goat , goat . So panic was looking at me like keep going , yeah , because I did all that talking .

Speaker 1

I wanted you to do some . Anyway , it was released on March 6th , yeah yeah , a few days after Sarah's birthday , a few days before yours . Yes , Kind of funny right Like right smack in the middle . Thank you , taki . As you all know , this is Shahidano Yuta Jinguji and Yuta Kishi X members of Kingdom .

Speaker 2

Prince Formerly Formerly of Kingdom . Prince X makes it sound , you know , negative Formerly . They just you know .

Speaker 1

I'm sure they're OK with calling themselves X of Kingdom Prince . That's just my opinion , but you know Taki's new company to be , you know have taken them under his wing for a new album and I'm very happy . Yes , I know , yeah , we have the , the wow , they should have been there sound many moons ago , and others , of course , that will not going to be leaving that sound yet , hopefully , and but we'll discuss more about that , yeah , we'll give our opinions as we go .

Speaker 1

Yes , now we're not going to be talking about goat , because we already have made an episode on that song . We're going to link on this on the show notes , the episode , so you can go check that one out , because we actually did a deep dive on that one .

Speaker 2

It was when the video had just come out in the song . So we we did a lot of talking about the whole sort of overall image and what they were projecting with the sound and all of that . We should do those sort of a brief recap . So everybody knows , we just thought it was very West Coast hip hop rap kind of vibe to it . But definitely check out that episode because we did talk more in depth about it . I wanted to at least let people know , you know .

Speaker 1

I want them to go over there . Oh yeah , no , no , no .

Speaker 2

But I'm just saying we have listened to . I want to prove we've listened to it .

Speaker 1

When they listen to the episode . We have listened to it . I'm Sarah , giving too much .

Speaker 2

Oh yeah , that was so much that 15 seconds of talk about goat . I'm ragging .

Speaker 1

But yes , so you wanna go in order , or you let's go with the ones that we Um the mall , the two that were like nyeh , yeah .

Speaker 2

And then you know , in our face we're only nyeh , because we feel like these guys were so into some of the other music and this was sort of this was like a safety . I think those two songs were a safety as far as not shocking the fans of formerly King and Prince . They wanted to give something familiar to be like see .

Speaker 2

See , they're not totally going in whatever direction , Right ? I think overall we had talked about it before . We were thinking this was going to be their chance to express themselves , Experiment with sound , do something , have a little freedom . But I think tacky was like we need the safety net of having something that sort of resembles what you used to do . You know that former company sound that we talk about , Right , so it's again . It's not that they're not good songs , it's just they're sort of what you expect . You know what I mean ? Like this is what they were too familiar . Yeah , this is what you used to do , it's just . Yeah , you're like okay , I've heard this before .

Speaker 1

Right , yeah , I was doing double takes and I'm like what am I listening to ?

Speaker 2

So well , I was going to say it reminded me of what they used to do , and then reminded me of what they used to do to sound like Arashi .

Speaker 1

I miss over here to herself , not me .

Speaker 2

No , I can't help it .

Speaker 1

So the songs that we are , you know we're like this is too familiar . I was hoping that this was not going to be put in there but , like you said , these three guys already have a large fandom , you know . So it's some of them have been there since day one and , like you said , if the sound was not in there at all , they're going to be like oh my God , what happened to my group or my guys . So the song is Is it Me , which is very funky disco song , very classic from the past , and then Midnight .

Speaker 1

City a very happy go lucky song , which they have plenty of songs that sound like that . So we're like okay , like I don't know , two songs , I guess . Yeah , I mean the rest of the album it's you know exactly completely different from this thing here and pass on .

Speaker 2

Right . Well , I was going to say like , is it Me ? Definitely has that sort of older sound , but it's got a little more edge to it because they got the rap comes in . Yeah , bringing that edge because the guitar is a little more you know , like I could see a whole dance going on to it . When I was hearing it I was like , oh , you know , doing the pretend guitar playing while they're dancing that's what it brought to my mind and I was going to say in Midnight City it was sort of a little more like jazzy 70s .

Speaker 2

I'm like , yeah , well , it had that keyboard sound as opposed to synthesizer or organ . It was that sort of weird 70s mid range . We're trying to be electronic sound . So yeah , it was elevator music .

Speaker 1

Huh , elevator music , yeah , no , that's why it's like , and then I'm also thinking you know , they want to appeal everybody , and then these two songs are those that have that sound to appeal everybody Right ?

Speaker 2

Well , you know , I've said it before , pop songs are popular because yeah , they're catchy .

Speaker 1

Yeah , but when you look at the stream songs Spotify , they're not that very high oh really no , I didn't look at the kids . I was yeah , because that's where I'm listening from Right . No , me too .

Speaker 2

But I , yeah , looking at the numbers of her , the songs , yeah , so everybody seems to be in agreement with us .

Speaker 1

Yeah , for Midnight City it's 900,000 . A little 960,000 , 936 . If you want to go with the numbers Coming down , the last listen , which I was a little shocked and I really like this one , it's lower than that one . Oh really , what one Rain or shine . Oh really . Yeah , the stream is at 811,191 .

Speaker 2

That's crazy , because I yeah , I liked that one Well , and that's why we were . We were starting with these two . Is it me and Midnight City ? Because we were like you know I thought , yeah , blow your cover and rain or shine . We're sort of that . Yes , the in between sound . You know we can talk more in depth about that , Right , but so I was thinking those were sort of the bridge work between go and Fuji . That's crazy .

Speaker 1

People don't like rain or shine , which I was like why . I know that's crazy and I'm thinking , hmm .

Speaker 2

Okay , well , you know , everybody has different tastes and opinions . Well , this goes back into what we were saying . Is those familiar sounds ? People might like that more .

Speaker 1

Who . I would like to know which country is the most . Is listening the most on Spotify ? I'm thinking Japan . Maybe it's just the sound is too , I don't know .

Speaker 2

Okay .

Speaker 1

Yeah , that's . I would like to see the demographics on those album .

Speaker 2

Yeah , that would be very interesting , Although I have to say with is it me ? I do like , when they're like who's that in your head ? Is it me ? Yeah , like that's the catchy part of it , Right , that's the thing that sort of hooks you in . I liked the way they did it . I can tell you that I always make my sister listen . I'm like I'm hearing it so much . Am I just sort of projecting something ? I think it was that song . My sister was like it sounds like they're just going through the motions . She felt like they were not as attached to that song as they were , to say , singing goat in Fuji . So it was very interesting to hear you know , and that's the whole demographic thing You're wondering about is these right ? This is more popular in ? I don't know maybe it's the Western versus .

Speaker 2

We have a different .

Speaker 1

Exactly .

Speaker 2

A different connect to the sound .

Speaker 1

And I think maybe also the room at the wooing is so different . Yes , you know so , if it's rain or shine , oh yeah , yeah , that's a really wooing me song like whoa , okay .

Speaker 1

So also on these songs , that Midnight City , and is it me ? Again , my poor Kishi range , you know , it is Okay To my opinion . So Kishi did his best on is it me ? But the arrangement was not made for his vocal range , especially in the melodic parts . He just know he's a rapper . I mean , when you hear him on the other songs , like goat , oh my God , right , yeah , I was like yes , this is his sound , this is this is why he needs to really showcase his vocals .

Speaker 1

This is my opinion . I mean , yeah , the Midnight City please .

Speaker 2

No , I'm like , well the thing is because Kishi is my sister's favorite , I know , and even she , that's why she was like it just sounds like going through the motions that there was no , you know , like investment in this sound and this song and again , because it was what they used to do . So when you're so familiar with it , you do you're sort of on autopilot doing it Cause and she's like geez , actually show Herano has a better vocal range .

Speaker 1

Right .

Speaker 2

I was like wow , don't you go after my show .

Speaker 1

No , she's been doing really good with vocals . I don't know if he's just being practicing what's going on but he is getting so good . Yeah , he is .

Speaker 2

Oh wow . So she's still a Kishi fan , but she likes what he does on the other songs better I . She's like you . You could tell he's passionate about it . Like you said , it's exactly where he wants to be . So , anyway , we digress we're going to an op-ed about it .

Speaker 1

Because you know , this too is like , yeah , I see why you need to have them there . But to appeal an international audience , these two are just like , eh , like it's a kid show . You know , for majority of us , you know for the North America , actually this side of the world , let's say , you know , unless you're an anime fan and you know , know about the culture , they will enjoy the song , these two songs , just because , yeah , this kind of sounds like things that I already have listened from Japan , so they are more familiar with the sound and whatever .

Speaker 2

But yeah . So which one did you want to rain or shine or blow your cover first ?

Speaker 1

Okay , let's start with blow your cover . Okay , because we haven't seen much about blow your cover . No , we like this one , but it's not kind of our favorite Right , we're just typing on this , really , we're just staring at our own point on this one . So , um , blow your cover . I like that is R&B , you know , you're already stealing my . So you know , our Pisces was here , the fishies were going .

Speaker 2

It's our season .

Speaker 1

Break rain . Now we'll think , oh , talking about new beginnings , so okay , it's a . This is like the bedroom music .

Speaker 2

Right , yes , well , I that's . I was like this is very sensual R&B , but it's sure but sweet and very effective .

Speaker 1

Oh Mg , I felt their vocals everywhere . Ah , the vocals just are on point I , so I was just melting with this .

Speaker 2

That's . That is so awesome that we both yeah , yeah , yeah no , I like you could feel their voices just washing over you , because it was , I don't know . This is another made for them kind of sound , something . I think like they wanted to sing this . Yes , you could feel the interest in this song .

Speaker 1

This is like I am a man . Now I'm stop with the freakin midnight city and it's me sound .

Speaker 2

Right , well , this one , it's sort of like you feel like it's a forbidden or sort of clandestine , like hidden love , oh yeah , secret love . We meet only in the bedroom , baby yeah .

Speaker 1

Like really no cafe , no restaurant .

Speaker 2

Oh . Yes , and it's just you know that that gentle organ , at the beginning Very minimal , sultry sounding guitar , it's not in your face . Walk a walk or anything it's just very Come hither sound . They add in that bass in the drums , just sort of picking up the beat a little , making a little more pleading , a little more like come on , come on , mm-hmm , gonna blow your cover . I'm sorry , I don't . Where did the more chocolate come ? I'm like , what's the more chocolate ? Blow your car I .

Speaker 1

Twitterverse going crazy with this song . I'm like really . Well , you know , I have my own ideas about what that is , but I'm always in social media , so they kind of spoiled some of the song .

Speaker 2

Oh I , but I kind of I mean , I am too , but I didn't .

Speaker 1

Yeah , it is very chocolatey . The song Voices and the Reference of yes , there's chocolate involving this song and liquor .

Speaker 2

Okay , is he playing you with chocolate and liquor , or is that involved in what goes on ? I don't know , but this is , yes , sort of like I'm a man , I no longer a boy . Well , also , you know , like they're saying to you now that we're alone , don't , don't try and cover up , don't think you're hiding who you are and and what you want , kind of like this very mature Sounding oh yeah content with this .

Speaker 1

That's why I say bedroom music yeah so that's what's going on here ?

Speaker 2

But you could tell that they were all feeling it . Oh yeah , all definitely into this sound again , and we both liked it , so there .

Speaker 1

You know , it's like we're man , we're no longer boys . This is , we're gonna be something like this for now on , hopefully .

Speaker 2

Yeah , definitely well , between the two , the two sounds mm-hmm that we we enjoyed most of this album . Yeah .

Speaker 1

I found lyrics in English .

Speaker 2

Oh , did you I have okay . Okay , is it spicy it is spicy and saucy .

Speaker 1

Oh , good things . First verse the light moonlight interrupts the sweet taste of liquor from my mouth to yours . That's the first Translated . I found the translation . Everybody I don't know if it's really says yes , but hey . So I'm sure what we are looking for is on the Seabed . What ? No seabed ? I don't know . What is this ? The water bed ?

Speaker 2

Maybe the translation is wrong . Water bed on the water okay .

Speaker 1

We're just drowning to the point we can't even breathe .

Speaker 2

So maybe you know , cuz you're so involved with each other , you feel like you're underwater drowning . You know like so passionate and into what's going on .

Speaker 1

Oh , I'm not gonna keep reading I .

Speaker 2

Don't know , it might spoil our romantic idea of it , that cuz that's the problem with translation . So that's why , just going by what we felt from the song Musically and from their voices , like I said , they just sort of wash right over you .

Speaker 1

Okay , draw you in the chorus Saves it all oh , does it okay ?

Speaker 2

Okay , I'm like this gotta be something .

Speaker 1

I can read . That does not sound like Okay . So this the chorus Everything will melt soon away , and I might not be able to keep myself in control .

Speaker 2

Okay , so it is exactly what we thought it was about . Like I said , maybe that's you know . They're sort of what is ? What's the word I'm looking for ? Allegory for , for drowning in the emotions in the Seabed . Yeah Well , at least Google Translate allows for some comedy .

Speaker 1

This is plastic content . I'm definitely gonna die . Yeah , this is not . What More chocolate ? Yeah , there you go , baby , now blow your cover .

Speaker 2

Well , like I said , this is them sort of trying to be like don't act like you're innocent and shy If I give you more chocolate , you're going to want some candy . You know , according to some cultures and whatnot , chocolate's like an aphrodisiac . It does it raises endorphins , makes you happy , right ?

Speaker 1

Maybe I didn't have chocolate . I don't know what's going on with me . Damn lyrics . Oh , I feel the lingering , gentle scent of your phone .

Speaker 2

Wait a minute , this just got like rated R . I told you .

Speaker 1

I was a chocolate split Content on this . Oh my God .

Speaker 2

Of course that could also just be , you know , depending how dirty your mind is . Take these lyrics how you yeah .

Speaker 1

See that .

Speaker 2

And we haven't been drinking or anything . This is but wow , wow . We should definitely ask some people to give us a translation of the lyrics . That aren't the Google translate of the lyrics , or are you actually ? Are you using Google or is this ? Somebody translated them ?

Speaker 1

Maybe they used , maybe they did , wow , I don't know . Ok , and you just one episode of the ring on this . Ok , I'm just going to leave it like that . Ok more stuff in here that we're just going to keep going off . Wow , well , in other words , yes , so this is definitely .

Speaker 2

Maybe I'm going to change my mind and this will be my favorite .

Speaker 1

Look at me like you talk . Well , like I said , I really liked it just because of the , the sound was so I don't know enticing .

Speaker 2

It just was definitely their voices . The way they presented it , the overall delivery was just really , really amazing . So it's even though I didn't understand all the words , I definitely got a certain feeling from it and according to that , I'm not sure what I'm going to say and according to that , I'm right .

Speaker 1

I said I felt these vocals everywhere , everywhere . When you hear that tone , that it just gives you this electricity , your skin gets all oh my God , I'm doing that right now . Just you know , it's just like waves of electricity when you oh my , I'm feeling it .

Speaker 2

Yeah , oh no , I totally did too .

Speaker 1

I was like just just thinking about this song and how it makes me feel I'm feeling it . No , this is ridiculous . I'm having euphoria right now just thinking of this song without listening to it .

Speaker 2

That's how powerful it is yeah , oh no , I know it . Just it , I'll say it makes you feel sexy . Yes , You're like . Oh yeah , I'm feeling it .

Speaker 1

I'm there . This song is going to be on my special playlist that I have , that nobody has found yet , and if you find it you're going to be like oh , this , just wow .

Speaker 2

Well , I would say of the whole album this one's , yeah , pretty close to being the blackout song , because you do , you listen to it and you're like , oh yeah , I'm like you relax all over , just listening to it Just whoo , I need a massage here . It gives you the feels right . Yeah , so everyone , let us know your feelings .

Speaker 1

You can actually make comments anonymously on our form . You don't ?

Speaker 2

have to put it on the X Twitter .

Speaker 1

Right , you don't want people to know how you really feel about this .

Speaker 2

You know , we don't mind putting it out there how we feel , but you might Exactly .

Speaker 1

You know , you don't have to put your name , maybe your country and city . That's it . We want to know where you're listening from . Yeah , you know , and which fans are coming from that like this album , you know . So so would you , or Rayner shine .

Speaker 2

I don't know , I really I really dug Fuji , so maybe we should save that one . Ok , I mean , I not that I definitely dug , blow your cover , but it's sort of . I want to end on sort of a stronger note , maybe . Ok , let's go , because Rayner shine is is another sort of mellow or mellow . It's sort of 70s rock . It reminded me of , you know , the band Chicago with the brass , the Trump . It's got another one that's using the keyboard . So so this is one of those bridge songs between old school and more updated synthesizer and stuff . It's got the walka , walka gentle , though it's not a strong , not like you know , super hard rock and walka walka . This is that like we're just giving you sort of a beat to go to . Always love you .

Speaker 2

Rayner shine this was another one that sort of sort of washed over me and just I enjoyed it . It wasn't like a get up and dance song , but it wasn't . It wasn't just that same familiar sound . This is one of those songs that has the something I think the guys enjoyed . They they liked this sort of 70s , it's an adult sound . Right , again , they had a lot of fun . Sort of 70s , it's an adult sound .

Speaker 2

Right Again , they have some English stuff . That's why I know it's always love you , rayner , shine . Have a good dream . There was one thing I did . I looked at the lyrics because I was like I know they're speaking English . The lyrics were no one knows about us now , but I kept hearing . No matter how hard I tried , I was hearing no one else but us now , which , ok , once I knew what they were saying , I was like it still has sort of the same feeling . This is another one . It's it's a love song .

Speaker 1

It's so funny because I also write down , wrote down the same thing , because I'm like what is they saying in English ? Like that no one knows about us . But yeah , fun about us . But yeah , hearing it differently , like you ?

Speaker 2

Yeah , I was like no one else but us now .

Speaker 2

So I was like I'm like , oh , this is so romantic talking about you , know , it doesn't matter about the rest of the world , right ? Rain or shine , I love you and it's just us in this moment . And then I was like , when I looked at it , no one knows about us . I was like , oh , so we're not supposed to be together , yeah , yeah , but it's good . They still love you , rain or shine , yeah , and want to be with you , but they're like nobody knows about us . This is a secret . And I was like , so that makes it less like dreamy , romantic , no , and a little more like adult , right , plus , this is the key here Like so when you're in the same room , there's electricity , but they're like no one knows about us , so don't , don't say anything . And I was like , oh , that totally changes it , because instead of being in the room and being like there's no one but us , now it's nobody knows about us .

Speaker 1

So that came . You know that romance . Oh , my God shows voice here , Right Sweet .

Speaker 2

Sweet . Oh well , it's just got that , that slight rasp to his voice . Huskiness yes , that makes everything sexy .

Speaker 1

Yes .

Speaker 2

Makes everything .

Speaker 1

Kishi was good too . Yeah , jim was good , all of them , all of them . But the one who really shine my Rain or Shine , it's show , oh my god . He stole the song . Oh jeez , it was made for his arrangement . You know his work , his range , but anyways this boy just sings like oh my god , just amazing . But yeah , to me it was more of a cool jazz , of course with the R&B , but yeah , the jazzy sound , the Rain or Shine being in the city , I mean , like you said , we find out . No one knows about us . It's like we're like secretly meeting you know . It's like , oh , another adult song . Yes , indeed .

Speaker 1

Oh my goodness so , but I mean blow your cover .

Speaker 2

Well , that one's a little more like in your face and overtly Well , that's after they meet on that Rain or Shine . Right , oh my gosh . Yeah , even though Rain or Shine comes later , it is . Yeah , there is sort of the correlation between them . Those two sounds were definitely a step away from the old sound , but not quite as boom as Goat and Fuji Right , which I don't know where you all set with talking about Rain or Shine , oh yeah .

Speaker 1

So I want to talk about this Fuji Right ?

Speaker 2

Oh my god See this is the sound I think that they are all really going for and most interested in , most invested in . They want this whole , you know , like hip hop , rap , image and vibe and feeling . They're just comfortable with it . But I love the beginning of it . It sort of tricks you because you're like what is it ? It's a guitar playing sort of classical sounding , you know traditional sounding music . So you're like , okay , it's a weird twangy electric guitar . So what am I going to get ? And then all of a sudden they're like boom , boom , yeah , oh , I know what I'm getting . Oh , yeah , it's awesome . And this is like , this is a power song .

Speaker 2

Oh , yeah , this is like , because they even say in it just want to dance and rap . So this song is telling you this is what we really want to be doing . This is where we're at . They want to change the world , they want a revolution and they're talking about themselves , you know , like transforming into this new group number one . Yes , because I think they even do say something about number one in there . Yes , okay , I was like , did I hear that ? But they're talking about , you know , fuji ? Of course , everyone knows Mount Fuji .

Speaker 2

Fujisan the biggest mountain , majestic , powerful , and oh so I just I felt a lot of power out of this song , a lot of strength and fortitude from them , and , like I really think this and goat were their absolute favorites , to do yes , Because you can hear it in their voices they're just so much unleashed and free and just the you know it's like there were elements to this that had sort of 80s epic rock , even though it's a hip hop sort of rap song .

Speaker 2

They incorporated some other sounds to just give it . I mean , it's so unique sounding from the rest of the album , even from goat yes , it's , even though it's in the same vein . It's just such an amazing sound and they everything about it . It's just so strong , bold . They're like grabbing the world by the balls and saying we're here , Damn it , deal with it . We're strong , we're strong , we're going to take over . Yeah , so I just love , love , love this .

Speaker 1

Fuji is definitely , you know the crunk trap pop . Yes , because they just this is a song about them . Definitely Fuji , of course , japan , they're Japanese , you know , just going with that . And then Fuji being , yeah , like you were saying , like grand , you can see it from almost every angle from Japan . That's how big it is , that's why it just this is about them . And you know , yeah , this is in your face song , full of attitude , very catching , and it's right now . This is . This is why it's currently the second most listened song . Oh , really , uh huh , so it's now goat , and then Fuji . It was . I mean , it was the most requested as well .

Speaker 2

Oh no , K Asia Wow .

Speaker 1

For my show I don't know anybody else Fuji , wow . When the album dropped , I was like well , I'm probably going to be hearing everybody asking for goat . But now that it was Fuji , fuji , I was like wow . And then I saw a trending number , like , oh , this is awesome Because this is like goat is our introduction . This is because we're going to be the greatest of all time . Fuji . We're going to be grand , biggest , as you know .

Speaker 2

Probably , they probably want to be bigger than Fuji Right , because I mean Fuji's sort of it's iconic Like yeah , but it's iconic , but they want to be more iconic than the mountain .

Speaker 2

You know that's dangerous to say , but yeah but I mean hello , you're singing about Fuji and then you're saying you know like well , I think they're sort of they're saying we want to be as strong as Fuji , we want to be as big as Fuji , we want to be as powerful , because everybody goes to Mount Fuji . I mean , it's a pilgrimage thing , it's , you know , climate to the top and you're not many can get it Right , exactly .

Speaker 2

So this is like huge , huge , you know . Yeah , so I think that that's that's what it is like to be as big and as strong and as powerful , to get as much attention and popularity .

Speaker 1

But you know , like they want to be , like Mount Fuji , that popular , that brand of you know , right statement , yeah .

Speaker 2

So that's awesome and people in general listeners feel the same way we do about it . Yes , cause , like I did , definitely gel with some of these songs , but this one , like you , feel the power out of it , you feel the strength , it's just wow , mind blowing .

Speaker 1

They were so happy to do songs like this because I'm sure they're like , we're so tired of the same sound , Tired of like sounding like adolescent . You know , young adults we're not , we're men .

Speaker 2

Yeah , we're not puppy love anymore .

Speaker 1

We're passionate and have feelings and emotions You're naming yourself number one , that you gotta feel some huge shoes on that , because that's pretty ballsy to call your group number one , right , you know ? You know how much pressure this this guy's are gonna have right now and then the name , the album goat , there you go .

Speaker 1

You know that's all yeah okay , you know , come out of the gate running . Exactly . They're not really easy in this group out , they're just really putting it out there , mm-hmm , bold names , bold music , except for two that we know is not bold , but I only understand that we they don't want to lose fans . Right , there's especially the you know the Fans , since they were just babies , little teeny-bops .

Speaker 2

Yeah , exactly , it was a tactical maneuver to ease everybody into yes what's happening ? Yes , so people are gonna listen to the album either way , because there is music .

Speaker 1

You know they're there , familiar with the Exactly , and then the and the ones for the newer fans , right like us .

Speaker 2

Well , we were listening to the older group , I know , but I mean we .

Speaker 1

We were not there since , oh yeah . We started you know , knowing about them when they were like what ? Eighth and eighth year , or seventh year in the in the company . It was relatively late , and by the time also one member has gone .

Speaker 2

So Exactly , we started listening , so yeah .

Speaker 1

So yeah , yeah , so I'm very happy , very happy , so happy for them . Let's see what's gonna happen , because right now you know they get this and this is huge promotion . Kind of push it out there as much as they can , uh , internationally most of the promotion I've seen has been about go , though I didn't .

Speaker 2

I didn't see anything about other songs . It's always still just the goat .

Speaker 1

Well , it's still because of the name of the album . Yeah , being goat . Yeah , that's true . So I think that's why I'm like marketing wise , we'll see , but goat . This album is Powerful and just a moving album .

Speaker 2

Definitely a good range of emotions , yes , happening in it , because you do you go from sort of the puppy Lovey stuff right to the more mature , to then just the in-your-face attitude which we always love , or at least I do In it's .

Speaker 1

It's a , it's a testament to the band's talent and vision . Definitely , and it's a sign of just hopefully , great things to come . You know great things to come .

Speaker 2

They're evolving and moving forward and they're definitely trying to capture their sound . They're trying to to narrow it down to exactly what they want to be and what they want to sound like so . Yeah , I can't wait to see what else they come up with .

Speaker 1

It's gonna be awesome . Yes , thank you , tacky , and thank you to the boys .

Speaker 2

The way that they're just busting their their behinds to get you know well they they made this move for a reason Exactly so glad tacky was there to catch them , to help them out .

Speaker 1

Yes , thank you Like .

Speaker 2

I got you .

Speaker 1

Especially show he'd , you know . Oh yeah , come on .

Speaker 2

Well , he was the first right , first one to actually move over there . He's like I'm gonna , I got to do something , something , yeah . So you know , this was all I don't know it's a gold , much like diamond .

Speaker 1

Mind Jeez , what can this ? You know it could be his , his mom . Why can't this boy cannot do ? I know right , it's insane everywhere he goes is gold out everything .

Speaker 2

So you know well , I think the the other two will be able to sort of find themselves and create the same sort of Strong sense of who they are . Yeah , the way show . I mean , I think this is in all respects a good move for all of them , yeah , and I think a good good move for the three of them together .

Speaker 1

Yeah , I'm happy that also . I believe that Kishi is also finding his own sound .

Speaker 2

I think he's finding the sound that he really wants to , to project , yeah , what he wanted to be doing and couldn't .

Speaker 1

Yeah , because he was probably pressured to again sing notes that he cannot sing . I mean , it was not made . He's thinking he can sing , it's just finding his note , his , his arrangement , he's right . When they kind of want to push , it's like , oh man , well , that's where the the two songs that we're like yeah , he was trying not to sound like that . I mean , he's been working on this . I am so proud of him , you know , okay . So okay , rachel and I , we they tend to kind of gravitate to the same , to the same boost .

Speaker 1

Yeah just now kiss you over here and I'm like I'm always rooting for him .

Speaker 2

You know he's , he was always my second show her on . I'll just I don't know he caught me . He was blonde at the time , I think that's what did it , and he's blonde .

Speaker 1

He is . Yes , he's one of the people that you know color . That's their color and if they change , to black is like no .

Speaker 2

You know , well , it's just , you know it's eye catching right , and if they look good with it , then I'm like yeah , you're yeah that's my boy . Yeah , I love that . Look the blonde .

Speaker 1

I don't know why it just look great on him , it's it's awesome , it's not all blonde men . Yeah , there's , yeah , no , exactly , if you have that , uh the tone correct for your skin . Oh , it's like it's gold , exactly . We like shiny things and for a blonde it's kind of like shiny . Yes , you know the golden .

Speaker 1

Yes , we're magpies who give us the shiny shiny , sparkly , sparkly , and then that voice oh my god , yeah , you're dead , just dead . Come on , please , anyways . So everybody , thank you and you know , for the challenge . Yes , should we say . Should we throw the person's name on ? If you can find it on music elixirs twitter , come on , it's there , but check out the album , oh , definitely .

Speaker 2

It's everywhere . Form your opinions and let us know how you feel exactly , it's everywhere .

Speaker 1

All streaming platforms . Come on , takis said , put it out there .

Speaker 2

He was evil .

Speaker 1

Oh my god , oh yeah when they , uh , they did the pre-release I think it was the pre-sale there was some problem or whatever .

Speaker 2

but you know , yeah , that resolve .

Speaker 1

You know takis like oh no , no , no , no , this is not happening on my watch . We're fixing it . Everybody's gonna have it .

Speaker 2

You know he's like Get it sorted exactly everybody is going to have this .

Speaker 1

Yay taki , thank you , thank you , thank you , geez , because he knows very well what really Okay yes , well , he's been in the business long enough , he knows he's . He's because he's frustrated . Where he was at , yes , and the vision was not .

Speaker 2

His vision was not being let out Right Previously it was very sort of tunnel vision , very limited focus , and he's like no boom , open up everything , let those floodgates go , just whatever whatever sound you want , the gate , we're going to do it .

Speaker 1

We're going to do this . We have the challenge .

Speaker 2

Well and do what suits the artists . That's really like I think .

Speaker 1

What he's going for here is , you know , and let's face it , a lot of these kids do want to go international Mm . Hmm , come on . Oh yeah , absolutely .

Speaker 1

I don't want to say all of them are . But a lot of these kids want to go international . And now , ok , with the K-pop situation . I sure a lot of these kids are like how come all the K-pop ? Look at all the taking . You know they're so popular globally and we're just here . So I mean they some of them have actually voiced it on interviews Just like , oh , because of the rise of K-pop . And I'm like , see this , these are talented . You know they want more than just staying in Japan .

Speaker 2

Well , because , yeah , people do want to hear it , People are interesting . You will find a fan base . You know what I mean . So Taki's definitely got a global vision , oh yeah .

Speaker 1

Oh yeah , taki , I'm going to be saying something , but you know we have so many copycats that will probably take this idea and probably run with it . It's going to take a while , I'm sure , because you're going to be taking a lot of money , but we're thinking J-pop conversions , just J-pop . What about start a convention ? Have kids come over here ? I know it's going to be a lie , only a lie , because , of course , going to New York is going to be so costly , but yeah , because , yeah , I can see that . Yeah Well , hello Hawaii .

Speaker 2

Oh yeah , well , they've always done stuff in Hawaii and of course I'm sure they have a base in Hawaii .

Speaker 1

They do , they do .

Speaker 2

That's where , that was their test zone , that's where Rishi debuted .

Speaker 1

Well , now we have the next best thing I think right now , because it's getting so popular . Las Vegas , yes , oh no , they used to go there a lot too .

Speaker 2

There you go . I only have a base in . There too , I saw the busload of juniors See so , you can .

Speaker 1

I know you can do this and I have given you places , so please open my game . I'm giving my New York accent now , like come on , but yeah , definitely LA Vegas .

Speaker 2

Vegas is definitely become Vegas . Much bigger for things like that .

Speaker 1

We love to go to Vegas and something happening in Vegas , but we can talk about that later Conventions and stuff yeah . Okay , all right .
