There's been a uh, a lot of new songs have actually dropped. Yes, they have. So it's kind of cool because I remember, you know, last episode we're like, well, not much has dropped and it was still kind of christmassy yeah, it was weird.
Speaker 1Well, yeah, it was just odd. There wasn't a whole lot of new releases and there were no new artists at all.
Speaker 2Right, so it was weird, it was very strange. And then kind of more stuff started coming out and you know, warming up, and we did the whole EP for On my Ex Love, oh yeah.
Speaker 1We were addicted to that. Oh my God, that song that song whoa the worst you know, and that was really. He broke up the january doldrums, right, yes, so that debut was pretty explosive.
Speaker 2Let's see what's gonna happen with, uh, when they drop something, yeah, when they put out a whole album, so they're fairly new, so we'll see about that. And, uh, I heard that our yam yams he's gonna be dropping something on the 19th of february, so we gotta wait coming up.

Speaker 1Yeah, it says they were active from 2023, but they've only debuted for a little over a year now that they've been around. So, okay, pretty cool. Oh, they got a member named Zayden. That's cool. Kuno Yumin Zayden. Minji kuno yumen zayden. Minji masami hyunbin and on n.
Speaker 2So those are the members all right kudos to the guys. Yeah, they have amazing vocals they do.

Speaker 1Hey, they're the whole thing. The the rappers did good, the the vocals though. Whoever hit that high note when?
Speaker 2they're like let's go. It's like whoa listen to that voice Really good, great harmonies, good rappers, the rappers with the bassy voice.

Yeah, I don't know if any of them do any of the writing or anything I didn't look that deep into it, right, but to get their names and all that, I did a quick google search while we were, because I was like I honestly I'd never heard of them and I was like yeah, these guys are good.
Speaker 2I don't. I want to say it probably might have played the song Shock when it came out, but I don't remember. And then after that, like Faded Well, when did Shock came out? That was July 2, 2024. And that one has over 2 million streams.
Speaker 1Well, you know, in the grand scheme of things they are still pretty new, so there's more opportunities maybe to come. All right, so which song do you want to hear now? Speaker 1You think the the new year, newborn babies are difficult and cranky right so everything about it is like anything that's new, and rebirth is stressful and strenuous because there's so much change going on yeah like if you say my baby being born is not clean, it's messy, exactly Same thing with snakes when they shed their skin.
Speaker 2It's messy. Okay, a bit of the astrology there, like we always like to do, all right. So it's one click straight with their song telepono um, which is telephone, and I think because that's what it sounds like, because in spanish it's telephono. But you know, yeah, yeah, all right. Speaker 1Yeah, but you can simulate that. I really like the vibe to this. It's really I love their music.
Speaker 2This vibe is so cool. It's different from siga, which what we actually you know right before god they're so good they are. This is very, very retro yeah, and I love their vocals oh yeah, no the boys have you know, have really good, good vocals the guitar work is very good too, this guitar this guitar right here yeah it's so nostalgic that I'm gonna cry, it's so good, heavily like brit pop influence yeah, yeah, shades of oasis channeling oasis here but very much their own, of course, very brit pop like late 80s, early 90s, mm-hmm.
Speaker 2Yeah, oh, I just love that. I like the vocals in the background, you know, give them that dreamy sound.
Speaker 1It's sort of haunting too.
Speaker 2And also like maybe a feel of being lost a little bit.
Speaker 1Yeah, like, almost like memories.
Speaker 2Oh that ending there with the guitar, yeah right. And the sounds in the background and the vocals, oh my god that was so cool it was, and that just long drawn out fade at the end. Yeah, yeah, the fade. Oh, that was so cool.

Speaker 2There was some raw energy there, yeah there was, yeah, there was some feels in there, feels definitely something going on in there. Uh, guys, you did great yeah, definitely awesome that was awesome. That was awesome. Oh my god, we'll love to see them live. We just gotta go to the philippines, you know. So all these groups, you know, you know, have you seen those reels or memes?

Intense and Thought-Provoking Music Review
Speaker 2Oh my god, taki is uh. Yeah, he's like I am not sleeping this time man on a mission, oh yeah, he's, he's like, I am going to do what I wanted to do all this time.
Speaker 1Well, and I'm sure the guys are feeling the same way. You know, like we want to be out there doing this, performing. This is what we got into it for.
Speaker 2Well, they wanted a completely different sound. They went for a different direction and I applaud them because I'm so happy about that.
Speaker 1Well, you knew, you could see it, you could feel it in some of the stuff they were doing prior to like pandemic and stuff they were gearing up for something that they couldn't get elsewhere. So now they're out there doing it and that's awesome, and Tacky's definitely taking advantage of the moment and the opportunity which is awesome.
Speaker 2It's like the vision that I always wanted to create and I'm doing it right now. I am so happy. All right, so we're going to be talking about, we're going to listen to, god Eye, which is number eyes, the most recent single. So here we go. The most recent, uh single. So here we go interesting when I first listened to this.
Speaker 1That's slow. I'm like, well, it's gonna be a slow song. Yeah, it seems like it's gonna be some sort of not quite ballad.
Speaker 2But but Right. And then this just like chorus in the background and like and the warbly yeah it got deep, you have this organ and like dubstep beats, like really quick.

Speaker 1yeah, this is all over the place but like, for some reason, strategically chaotic right yeah, it's very, very eclectic, yeah, in the sounds that they're using.
Speaker 2And you get this like marching vocals, but it's like mixed with like Gothic Gregorian chant. Like that's very yeah, and that organ, that church organ, yeah.
Speaker 1Always Very like intense classical music, right Mixed with the beats. This is like what their fourth type of vocal going on by the mood on. This is all over the place it's like it's a very intense song yeah, that bass at the end yeah, that's crazy a bass drum was crazy.
Speaker 2Love it, though this is a completely different take for them it's right.
Speaker 1Yeah, this is so different from all of the other, like the whole okay complex and all of that.
Speaker 2It's like wow yes, wow, exactly like like goat is completely different from this.
Speaker 1This comeback is like wow intense is the only word I can.
Speaker 2I can't yeah it's hard to describe this song right, because there's so much going on.
Speaker 1It just moves from one sound to the next very easily, but it's so much sort of coming at you, I do hear the accents of like church music.
Speaker 2let's say, people who are Catholic may hear some of those sounds as familiar. It's you and I you know, yes, definitely I hear and I'm like, oh, yeah, the god, okay, so that's kind of churchy. You know, like some parts I can, I can. I'm like, ah, I see, I see the it's sprinkling, as those you know sounds into the whole song. Wow, but the beginning I was just like, okay, yeah, it was definitely.
Speaker 1Yeah, you're expecting one thing and then it just turns into something else exactly.
Speaker 2It's not a dance song. No, not at all no um, it is preachy. It is a preachy song. I get the con, I kind of get the concept, but I would love to see a translation on this song, yeah, to grasp more of the feels of what's going on in there. I mean, we kind of heard more like they're their own god, I mean yeah, you know you know, I'm my own person. I'm my own person. I'm my own God, I am.

Speaker 2That's very interesting sounds and words. It's a strong comeback though. Yeah. Yeah, Because it gets you thinking Right.
Speaker 1You know, I mean it's not one that you, it keeps you guessing too, know, I mean, it's not one that keeps you guessing too, like yeah, what's coming? Because all of those transitions were so different, but they worked, you know. But you're like, wait a minute, they were, they were just singing, sort of like that typical cutesy boy band sound at the beginning, right, they're sweet. Sort of. You're like, oh, what's this? And then all of a sudden it's the rap, the harsh, like yeah, because it goes like what happened like somebody like knocked the door down.
Speaker 2It's like here we are and then you got the choir comes in with the whole.
Speaker 1You're like what is going on exactly with that organ like I said, it was this weird sort of cross between just classical arias and goth. You know chant like it was weird, like gothic, not goth music, but the, when you think of I don't know.
Speaker 2That was at least we're thinking of like oh, we're going to get like a sexy song, or it's like no, no no, make you think song Exactly Keep you guessing song Exactly, even if it's like, if you see the artwork for the song, it's a brain oh is it?
Speaker 2Yeah, it's. There's collages of things and is's a brain? Oh, yeah, it is. You are correct, so it's in your head. So you know. So I'm thinking. Whatever you think in your head, you are your own god. I would like to see if, uh, it's all pixelated too, on the back right.
Speaker 1Yeah, it's the different colors you know, like when you see imaging of the brain and what's happening where, yeah, it's definitely a cerebral kind of music and song going on. You definitely you've got to think about it and you gotta, and if you see the uh god eye.

Speaker 2They're all it's diamonds, like it's all diamonds, and then your brain, and then the brain so it's shimmery glistening I would like to hear ailey's you know what, the. When they saw that vision, they saw that picture, picture, and they're hearing this song. I would like to hear their you know what, oh their take on it.
Speaker 2What's going on with it Exactly? I know they're helping us stream and whatnot. I get that, I know what they're doing, but in reality I would like to. If they saw that image like their first reaction like, oh okay you know, because when I first saw it I'm like that looks like a brain you know, so I was like oh okay.
Speaker 2So I'm like, uh, all right, I can't wait to see them, you know, to hear the music, to see what's going on, and and then that and I'm like, wow, I'm, wow, I'm wow. Totally different take, it is explosive. It catches your attention because you're like, wow, I need to hear more because there's so much into that sound.
Speaker 1Yeah, well, it keeps you curious. You're like what, what's coming next, and how did that move into this? That's why it would be really good to know, like, exactly what the lyrics are, because the music has movement to it like it's going somewhere, it's trying to explain something. So if we knew exactly what the words were, what they were talking about, what they were saying, I would like to see a proper translation of this song Because.
Speaker 2I don't want to guess it. We hear some of the English you know, like glowing numbers, glowing, glowing, glowing numbers. I'm like, okay, that could be anything you know I don't want to expect like glowing numbers as of fans or you know, yeah, exactly. Or glowing numbers of streams or anything like that yeah yeah, I want to know more about what's going on in this song definitely.

Right, they have, uh, let's say, an ep and there's other songs in here, but we're going to talk about spacecraft because that's the second, I guess, leading track of the ep. So here we go. That's the second, I guess, leading track of the EP. So here we go, very space-like music.

I mean, it's definitely like a lost in space kind of feeling.

So that's sort of how the the feeling you got, being lost out in the cosmos there with no control, right, just whoa. That was like a little intense I know my word for the day. Dark for sure, and wow it's, it's sky. High at it again yeah, he is.
Speaker 1Oh, it's interesting yeah, it is, I like it a lot. Another one with a lot of sounds going on in the background. A lot of different, just glints of sound that spark something in your mind when you're listening to it. That was really Wow. Oh, I found lyrics. Yep, me too. I just want to be myself. I see it's one of them in the dark.

Speaker 1Honestly, I have no idea this is. There's sort of a couple of different things going on. You know what I mean, but it seems sort of more about being kind of adrift, not being in control of what's going on. That's sort of the whole overall feeling and that could do with technology, could do with, you know, dealing with fame, could be. It could just be an existential kind of thought. You know, like I am a spacecraft and I'm a drift and I have no idea what's going on right, you know what I mean, so it's like it can be very personal.
Speaker 1It can be about everybody together. Yeah, you know what I mean. It's because they talk about we seven, so you know what I mean god, these songs make you think yeah the hell.
Speaker 2This too, you know. Yeah, number, I make that one from uh, god, I makes you think. Also this one from be first, you know spacecraft, that also makes you think wow yeah, it's really these comebacks. I'm like whoa, it takes you back. Like hey, this is so different. You know not your like catchy, you know dancey song you know you know, it's so different yeah, these not happy go lucky, that's for sure. No, no ballot, no, ballad, no, you know, hey, party over here.
Speaker 1Kind of song, wow, hmm, still can't get a spacecraft watching you. That's just weird, yeah love it's. It's a totally different approach I like it, though it's that's. That's such a like lay down on your couch in a dark room or on your bed and just like listen to it and float around with the music. Wow, I like that one a lot. They were all so different they were.
Speaker 2They were oh my God. But oh my God, yeah, definitely, wow Okay, they're all so different I can't say I can pick a favorite.
Speaker 1Well, no, because each one has its own mood exactly you know wherever you're at at the moment exactly pick your tune.
